"Are all of you ready, my warriors?" The emperor stood in the middle of the platform, holding a sword that contained her authority over the empire.
The emperor raised her sword and shouted, "We shall purge our enemy no matter who it is. The empire will never fall. The empire will be victorious. All troops, onward!"
As soon as the emperor gave the order, tens of spaceships began to fly into the sky. There were a lot smaller spaceships waiting within the main ships’ hangars, waiting to be deployed when they were close to the enemy.
"We are reaching outer space in three... two... one..."
"Your Majesty. Shall we perform the jump?"
"No need. We shall proceed slowly and carefully."
Devonio nodded.
"Emergency report! Five living signatures are detected!"
The emperor raised her head. "Five living signatures? Is it them?"
The staff immediately projected the camera, only to find different people appeared to have just left the empire undetected.
"It’s not them... no, it’s them, but..." Devonio gasped, realizing what was happening.
The emperor’s expression turned solemn. "Those five women... They must be his wives as well. They’ve been hiding in the empire all this time?"
"My apologies, Your Majesty. It’s my fault. I should have expected that they were not the only ones." Devonio turned pale. He should have expected that there would be another group to infiltrate the empire as backup.
Evelyn glanced to the side, looking at the spaceships that had just emerged from the planet. In the end, she didn’t do anything to the empire fleet.
The fact that she teleported them here and Bella not using her ability to camouflage them meant Evelyn wanted to warn them.
Evelyn then snapped her fingers, summoning a portal.
"Spacetime fluctuation! It’s opening the spacetime tunnel." The staff warned the emperor and Devonio.
Before they could react, Evelyn and the others had gone through the portal, leaving the empire.
"..." Devonio gritted his teeth, not knowing what to do. The emperor squinted.
"They must have gone to the battlefield. We need to catch up to them immediately." Devonio suggested.
The emperor raised her hand, gesturing for him to stop. "We’ll go according to the original plan."
"Understood."
...
Meanwhile, Nathan was already standing right outside the planet.
"What do you think?" Nathan asked.
"It should work. I will use my own absolute ice to weaken the ice. Then you will use your power to crack the ice. I will then slow down the process of the ice recovering. We don’t have to use our power to fully break the ice. Instead, we will force the alien to break it open. This way, the alien will have no choice but to use a portion of that accumulated power."
Nathan nodded in agreement. "In that case, we will just have to wait for the rest of the team."
Nathan took out his phone, trying to make a call.
"It’s really convenient, isn’t it? This kind of tool. I wish we had such a thing back home." Flora chuckled.
"Well, in the end, it might lead the world to something like my world or this empire. Humanity will kill themselves or live long enough to surrender to the machine." Nathan shrugged.
"Fair enough. So, is it connect—" Flora stopped and glanced to the side. "Speaking of the devils..."
"We’ve arrived." Evelyn nodded.
Nathan stored the phone again. "Okay. We’ll stick to the plan, but for the opening, let’s go with scenario B. Force the alien to break it open himself by using the accumulated power, or it will risk having the accumulated power leak out of the planet."
"Understood." Evelyn nodded.
"Everyone, take positions!" Selena waved her hand.
They split up.
"Master, they’re coming." Machina informed Nathan.
Nathan glanced back, seeing the empire fleet encroaching from the distance.
"Okay, let’s begin!" Nathan nodded to Flora.
Both of them headed to the planet.
Flora placed her hand on the planet’s surface and channeled her power, using her own absolute ice that had improved drastically because of the item Lord Frost left behind.
While it hadn’t reached absolute zero, her ice still contained 30% power of the ice that sealed this alien.
If she continued to progress, her ice might eventually reach absolute zero.
Flora first weakened the ice on this planet.
"Nathan, go ahead!"
"Understood." Nathan took a deep breath and activated his power. Nathan grasped the air with both hands as though he was trying to rip it apart.
The planet started to shake violently.
Nathan applied even more pressure as he widened the distance between his feet to get more power.
"Ha!" Nathan shouted and ripped the air apart completely.
As a result, a massive earthquake hit the planet, causing a major crack on its surface.
Flora then sent out her power again to slow down the regeneration of the absolute ice.
With more time, Nathan could gather his power one more time and cause the earthquake one more time, deepening the crack until it reached the core of the planet.
Fortunately, the planet was small as its size mostly came from the alien. So, Nathan didn’t need much power to break it open.
"..." The alien inside the planet couldn’t help but notice its power leaking because of the crack.
And it looked like the ice was being forcefully cracked open so that the power would continue to leak.
If it were dispersed far away, the alien couldn’t utilize the energy anymore. That was why the alien couldn’t afford to let Nathan do whatever he wanted.
In that instant, Nathan sensed the massive amount of energy erupting from the alien’s body.
"Oh, ya. It’s coming!" Nathan immediately grabbed Flora and activated his teleportation.
All the girls raised their stances, ready for battle.
The crack became bigger and bigger until it eventually covered the entire world.
A deep cry came out of the crack as a claw-like tentacle emerged from it.
"Ooooooooo!"
The alien let out another cry as the energy erupted, blasting the planet to pieces. "Oooooo!"
