A Cultivation Family!
A Cultivation Immortal Sect!
No matter what kind of inheritance, throughout the ancient and modern times, they pursue the path of powerful legacy!
Often, in order to make the inherited strength formidable and the lineage to endure longer, some sacrifices are made!
The path of cultivation is exceedingly painful; heaven and earth are callous, treating all things as straw dogs!
Not to mention the extremely weak Human Clan, even the Ancient Alien Race with Innate Great Divine Power, and the Demon Clan blessed by heaven, struggle bitterly in this Martial Arts World. Although their situation is slightly better than the Human Clan, they ultimately cannot escape life and death reincarnation!
Dao Yu’s parents held the family’s high hopes. The family endured much hardship to discover the place where this powerful demon beast lay dormant, preparing for its transformation moment, allowing Dao Yu’s parents to bathe in a Divine Rain for greater power, nurturing Dao Yu from the womb!
This powerful demon beast, about to transform, belongs to which Demon Clan species? Dao Yu’s parents did not see it when they reached the deep mountain. They dared not approach too closely, for a powerful demon beast’s transformation often strengthens it. Bathing in the transformation’s Divine Rain is a life and death adventure; getting too close initially might mean being devoured by this powerful demon beast before bathing in the Divine Rain!
They felt lucky soon after, as they sensed the spiritual energy around them constantly dissipating and heard the mighty demon beast’s roar. From the roar, it seemed to be lamenting, crying out mournfully as if it had reached the end of its Netherworld journey, wanting to make a final struggle but knowing such struggle is futile!
"Let’s go; this powerful demon beast should be about to transform. The closer we get, the better Divine Rain we’ll be able to bathe in!" Dao Yu’s father said.
"But... we don’t know what this powerful demon beast is. Judging from its roar and the absorption of nature’s spiritual energy, it’s very powerful, certainly stronger than us. If we rush over and get noticed, we almost have no chance of survival!" Dao Yu’s mother said worriedly.
"Martial Arts Cultivation is about taking risks, and this risk we must take!" Dao Yu’s father insisted resolutely.
"Powerful creatures are superior to us, especially when about to transform; they become more powerful. It surely won’t be resigned to its fate. If we charge over, we will be discovered..." Dao Yu’s mother shook her head.
"What are you afraid of? You’re not someone who’s easily scared. Plus, we have the ancestral powerful Treasure; it can surely suppress it!" Dao Yu’s father said earnestly.
Dao Yu’s mother looked at Dao Yu’s father in surprise, furrowing her brow in thought as if making a difficult decision, she said: "I’m not afraid. When you and I ventured into the dragon’s lair and tiger’s den, I never feared. But now, we have a child, and I must consider his life and death!"
"I know what you fear for is the child. But you must understand the cruel, bloody nature of the Martial Arts World. He will experience it eventually; if he isn’t strong enough, even if we protect him for a while, we can’t protect him forever. He’ll be defeated and even killed by others, inevitably. Risking everything now is to ensure his innate strength, so he starts stronger than other martial artists!" Dao Yu’s father said.
"Alright, let’s go. Whether we bathe in Divine Rain or not, we must ensure the child’s safety!" Dao Yu’s mother nodded seriously.
Swoosh!
Swoosh!
Dao Yu’s parents decided to rush forward to see what’s happening. It’s a matter of judgment, adventure, and gamble. To be the first to bathe in Divine Rain, they must grasp the timing of the powerful creature’s transformation. An early judgment could expose them before bathing, as the powerful creature about to transform will know those approaching are doing so for the Divine Rain, leading to rage and slaughter. Yet, a late judgment might mean the Divine Rain has already dissipated by the time they arrive, wasting the opportunity!
To accurately and optimally grasp this timing and promptly bathe in Divine Rain, the only way is to approach the powerful creature as closely as possible and rush forward the moment it transforms, though this is extremely risky and might result in complete annihilation!
Dao Yu’s parents flew over a large mountain. Both were extremely cautious, knowing the powerful demon beast was about to transform, desperately struggling, and madly absorbing the spiritual energy to stabilize its essence energy. Once discovered, a great battle is inevitable, extremely dangerous!
When Dao Yu’s parents reached the mountain’s summit, looking down, they both were astonished to the extreme, nearly exclaiming aloud. For before them was a powerful demon beast, only heard of in legends, never seen before. They couldn’t believe such a creature truly existed, the demon beast they were to bathe in its Divine Rain!
"Didn’t expect it to be Zhong Zhi, this... a powerful demon beast from Ancient Era!" Dao Yu’s mother exclaimed in amazement.
"No, based on this Zhong Zhi’s aura, it doesn’t seem like pure-blood of Ancient Demon Beast; it should be a descendant!" Dao Yu’s father assessed.
"Even if it isn’t pure-blood of Ancient Demon Beast, it’s not something we can handle. This Zhong Zhi happened to hide here; if it roamed the Barbaric Forbidden Land, there might be no opponents for it!" Dao Yu’s mother said, frowning.
"In my view, this Zhong Zhi has long grown old, trying to live longer by hibernating here, slowing its life force consumption. If it were youthful, it would have swept through the Barbaric Forbidden Land and wouldn’t wait here for Transformation!" Dao Yu’s father analyzed.
"Even so, we can’t approach it. It’s much stronger than us, even if our entire lineage or all Barbaric Forbidden Land’s inheritances came, we might not defeat it!" Dao Yu’s mother said worriedly.
"Don’t worry, we’re here, not too close nor too far, and can monitor its movements any time. Once it begins Transformation, we rush to bathe in Divine Rain. There’s no major danger. Rest assured!" Dao Yu’s father transmitted by Divine Thought.
Zhong Zhi!
Also known as Central Heaven Beast. Large, with a human face and beast body, and two wings. Understands human speech, inherently aggressive, eats humans. A being from the ancient opening of heaven, later resided in Kunlun Mountain. Oversees Four Saints, all directions.
This species can be compared to the Ancient Fierce Beasts like Qiong Qi and Taotie, existing since the Ancient Era, once swept over lands, leaving a notorious reputation. Yet, like the Zhong Zhi lineage, it slowly faded by the late Ancient Era, drastically reducing members. Unexpectedly, an hibernating Zhong Zhi existed in a corner of Northern State’s Barbaric Forbidden Land!
Dao Yu’s parents awaited ten days atop this mountain. Throughout this time, the Zhong Zhi below only roared and absorbed nature’s spiritual energy, showing no sign of Transformation, remaining unmoving, seemingly persisting!
On the morning of the eleventh day, this Zhong Zhi finally moved, slowly rising. Its human-like face looked fierce as if aged like a Human Clan member, lightly flapped its wings but failed to fly, heavily coughing akin to human’s cough, walking step by step towards a not far place!
"Moved, where’s it going?" Dao Yu’s father muttered, frowning.
"Be cautious. Seems it’s about to transform, find a resting place for its soul!" Dao Yu’s mother advised prudently.
"We must follow it; the closer it is to Transformation, the tighter we follow!" Dao Yu’s father rushed out immediately, quietly following, Dao Yu’s mother hesitated before following too!
Slowly Zhong Zhi crawled forward, continually coughing, resembling an elderly man exhausted to the extreme, barely maintaining energy to walk but still pressing on. About an hour later, ahead appeared a small, crystal-clear lake, into which Zhong Zhi stepped!
"Is it going to drink or seek a burial place?" Dao Yu’s father frowned.
"We must be cautious; this Zhong Zhi seems unusual!" Dao Yu’s mother expressed doubt.
Calmly, as Zhong Zhi walked into the lake, it seemingly sank completely, disappearing without a ripple or trace, leaving Dao Yu’s parents puzzled and shocked!
"How is it vanished? There’s no trace of its aura?" Dao Yu’s mother asked, frowning.
"Let me check!" Dao Yu’s father pondered and said.
"Be careful, guard against a sneak attack..." Dao Yu’s mother reminded.
