It’s time for the paid release.

From the book’s launch on July 7th to its paid release on September 7th, it has been exactly two months.

For me, these past two months have been a rollercoaster, full of ups and downs.

I still remember when I wrote my one-month reflection, I was in a complete panic, feeling like I had hit a dead end.

But thanks to everyone’s support, *Super Storm*’s performance improved dramatically over the next month, even earning it spots on major promotional features. Once again, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the readers who love and support *Super Storm*.

I’m the kind of person who just buries his head in his work, focused on writing and telling stories. I’m not good at communication or interaction, nor am I particularly witty or funny. But I truly love writing. For me, it’s not just a job to earn a living; it’s a passion I genuinely love.

I’ve always said that I’m someone who prefers to let my work speak for itself. I will do everything in my power to write better and more exciting stories. That is the best way I can repay all the readers who have supported and enjoyed my work over the years.

I’ve been in this industry for over a decade. While my work might not appeal to every single reader, I hope that as an author, I’ve earned your trust. Dropping stories or going on indefinite hiatus is something I’ll never do, so you can all rest assured.

I’m in my thirties now, and with family matters and my own energy levels, I can no longer update at the frantic pace I used to. But I’m sure you’ve all seen that I’ve been working very hard to improve the quality of my writing.

From the moment I decided to start this book and began gathering research, I’ve been thinking about the plot almost constantly. I think about it while eating, while running, and even on my way to pick up my child.

Every night before bed, I’ll create a mental draft of the next day’s plot. The next morning, after dropping off my child, I’ll start reviewing it and gathering necessary materials for the story, such as the tactical styles of opposing teams, player names, technical characteristics, and so on.

Only when the entire plot segment is polished and fully formed in my mind do I actually start writing.

From the moment a Chapter is finished to when it’s uploaded, it goes through at least two rounds of review—usually the next day and right before posting. Besides correcting typos and awkward sentences, I also have to consider issues like plot continuity.

Over the years, to write convincingly about coaches, I’ve read the autobiographies of famous managers like Guardiola, Mourinho, Van Gaal, Ferguson, Benitez, Wenger, and Ancelotti to understand a head coach’s professional and personal life.

This time, to write convincingly about players, I went out and bought twenty or thirty autobiographies of star players, including Eevee, Ronaldo, Messi, Van Persie, Aguero, and Gerrard. For instance, the portrayal of Ibrahimovic in this book, as well as many of the events surrounding him, are drawn from Eevee’s own autobiography. I’ve also borrowed from the experiences of many other star players.

For example, Bergkamp mentioned in his autobiography that he spent a long time practicing against a wall.

I’m not telling you all this to play the victim. I just sincerely hope you can believe that I am truly, truly putting my heart and soul into this book. I will use all my ability and effort to write a story that everyone can enjoy.

Now, let me talk about the update schedule after the paid release.

First, for the entire month of September, I guarantee a minimum of three updates per day. Each Chapter will be a full 3,000 characters, with guaranteed quality and quantity, and absolutely no filler.

Tomorrow is the first day of the paid release, and to encourage initial subscriptions, I will be doubling the updates. After the paid access goes live at noon, I will release six Chapters all at once. That’s nearly 20,000 characters, which is equivalent to ten updates of 2,000-character Chapters. There will be no morning or evening updates tomorrow, so please understand.

Second, bonus Chapters for average subscriptions.

As you all know, I earn from this book through a revenue-sharing model. The number of subscriptions directly affects my livelihood and my family’s. So, I sincerely hope everyone can support the official release. Your support is the greatest motivation for me to release Chapters in bursts.

Currently, *Super Storm* has over 18,000 collections. The typical collection-to-subscriber ratio for sports novels on Qidian is between 4.5-to-1 and 6.5-to-1, but the final result will depend on the enthusiastic support of all you readers.

Let’s set a baseline of 2,000 average subscriptions. For every 100 average subscriptions above 2,000, I will release one bonus Chapter. There is no upper limit.

For every 100 monthly tickets, I will release one bonus Chapter.

Since the end of September is close to National Day, if there’s a double monthly ticket event, then it will be one bonus Chapter for every 200 monthly tickets.

Even though this isn’t my first time going premium, my heart is still filled with apprehension.
