Surviving the Infinite Survival Game by Exploiting Glitches
Chapter 73 I can’t understand it, I just can’t understand it.The zombie inside hadn’t noticed that the door had opened. Its attention was focused on the noise coming from the window in front of it.
Lin Yun saw this through the crack in the door. She immediately pushed it open, rushed inside, and slammed her wooden stick into the zombie’s head.
The zombie’s red-and-white viscous substance splattered everywhere, landing on Lin Yun’s clothes.
Lin Yun glanced down at her clothes in disgust.
Fortunately, the first world she’d entered had been filled with mutated plants and animals. Otherwise, she probably wouldn’t have been able to survive this long.
Just as she was about to submit the zombie, the tightly closed door beside her suddenly opened.
Sang Biao immediately sensed that something was wrong.
He instantly returned to his gigantic form, but knowing that making noise could attract more zombies, he kept his mouth shut and stood protectively in front of Lin Yun.
A zombie suddenly rushed out of the room at incredible speed.
It was startled when it saw Sang Biao, but its attention quickly shifted to Lin Yun.
No.
Lin Yun was its only target from beginning to end.
To the zombie, she was an incredibly delicious meal.
Lin Yun’s eyes widened.
This zombie was incredibly fast!
Afraid that something might go wrong, Lin Yun immediately submitted the zombie she had just killed, then tightened her grip on the wooden stick and stared at the approaching zombie.
But the zombie was simply too fast.
It passed Sang Biao in an instant and reached out with its sharp claws toward Lin Yun.
Lin Yun was startled and immediately dodged.
If those claws had grabbed her, she might have turned into a zombie on the spot!
"Ha!"
The zombie charged at her again.
It had only one thought in its mind.
Eat the food in front of it.
Eat it!
By consuming this human, it could become even stronger!
While dodging the zombie’s attacks, Lin Yun desperately searched for its weakness.
She didn’t dare let Sang Biao join the fight. She was afraid the zombie might catch him.
Sang Biao was extremely anxious.
Why had he suddenly become useless in this new world?
Ghost Vine, however, wasn’t afraid at all.
Its vines quietly swung through the air, striking the zombie again and again.
It had originally intended to bind the zombie directly, but the zombie’s reactions were extremely fast. Its sharp claws allowed it to dodge Ghost Vine’s attacks several times.
Enraged by Ghost Vine, the zombie suddenly grabbed all of its vines.
Lin Yun seized the opportunity and swung her stick at the zombie’s head.
The zombie dodged.
The blow only broke one of its arms.
Once entangled with Ghost Vine, the zombie struggled desperately. Its pure-white pupils were filled with an intense hunger for flesh and blood.
Lin Yun frowned and checked its detailed information.
There wasn’t much.
[Level 2 Speed Zombie: Fast.]
That was all.
The information was extremely brief.
But one thing was certain.
Level 2 zombies had already appeared.
After reading the information, Lin Yun didn’t hesitate.
She struck again.
This time, the zombie’s head exploded.
Just as she was about to submit the corpse, Ghost Vine suddenly pounced on it and pulled something out of the viscous remains.
[Again! There’s something shiny!]
Ghost Vine proudly presented the object wrapped in its vines to Lin Yun as if it had found a treasure.
Lin Yun stared at Ghost Vine.
Its vines were covered in sticky red-and-white substance, with some of it still dripping down.
Her expression became completely speechless.
She closed her eyes, grabbed a piece of cloth from the nearby table—she had no idea what it had originally been used for—and wiped herself clean before taking the object Ghost Vine had brought over.
She then wiped Ghost Vine’s vines as well.
Finally, she tossed the object back to it.
"If you like it, keep it. You don’t have to give it to me."
[Okay!]
Ghost Vine was extremely happy.
It really liked shiny things.
It didn’t know what they were for, but it liked them anyway.
After stuffing the small crystal into its body, the group continued exploring the upper floors.
Three hours later, Lin Yun had completely cleared the entire building where the shelter was located.
She had killed a total of 17 zombies, earning 1.7 points.
After spending the entire afternoon fighting, Lin Yun was exhausted.
She hurried downstairs before nightfall.
Before she could even leave the first floor, she noticed several doors beside the staircase.
Lin Yun’s eyes immediately lit up.
These should be doors connecting to the shops at the front.
She wondered which shop they connected to.
Hopefully, it was the flower shop.
After entering, Lin Yun discovered a passageway filled with a considerable amount of goods.
There were also several doors connecting to the shops in front.
These were clearly the shops’ back-stock inventory.
Lin Yun closed the door she had entered through, while Tuan Tuan stood guard nearby.
She then began examining the goods.
She had already seen the flower shop’s inventory.
Most of it consisted of materials used for wrapping bouquets.
Next to the flower shop was a snack shop.
The goods at the front of the store had already been looted, but no one had come to collect the inventory in the back.
Once again, Lin Yun had benefited.
There were other useful things as well.
Unfortunately, her shelter was already too small to hold anything else.
She decided not to move the supplies yet.
She could wait until the shelter was expanded.
Lin Yun entered the flower shop through the back door.
After observing for a while, she discovered that the door was located beside the staff break room and was very well hidden.
It had probably been deliberately designed that way so it wouldn’t affect the appearance of the store.
After changing her clothes, Lin Yun relaxed for a while before lying down on the bed.
She opened her eyes and stared at the ceiling.
For some reason, she began thinking about the purpose of this survival game.
Why had it sent them into these survival worlds?
If its goal was simply to kill them, why not create disasters on Earth like the ones found in these worlds?
Why select people individually and send them into survival worlds?
Wouldn’t a catastrophe on Earth kill people much faster than this?
But if the goal really was to kill them, then what was the purpose of the system?
And what was the purpose of the shelter?
Everything seemed contradictory.
It seemed as though the survival game wanted them to die, yet at the same time, it didn’t actually want them to die.
Lin Yun rolled over.
Then rolled over again.
She still couldn’t figure it out.
Could it be some kind of torture?
Perhaps they were meant to believe that entering a survival world meant certain death, only to discover that they had a shelter and a system to guide them.
They couldn’t return to Earth, but at least they could remain alive for a while.
If that was the case...
Then it truly was torture.
Humanity was in a miserable situation.
A survival game had appeared out of nowhere, forcing them to risk their lives for reasons no one understood.
Everything was completely inexplicable.
Lin Yun flipped over again, her head buzzing.
I can’t figure it out.
I really can’t figure it out.
Then there was the transit station.
She had only just remembered something.
The transit station she’d entered seemed to have been occupied entirely by Chinese survivors.
She hadn’t seen anyone from other countries.
Could it be because her level wasn’t high enough?
Or did every country have its own transit station?
But when she thought about it carefully, there had to be other transit stations.
Just then, Sang Biao came over and snuggled against her.
Lin Yun reached out and pulled the little tiger into her arms.
She didn’t know what the system’s true function was.
She didn’t know what its purpose was.
And she didn’t know what relationship the system had with this survival game.
For now, there was only one thing she could do
Survive in the survival worlds.
