Ten minutes later, Song Xizheng was hiding in a corner, wailing and crying, while Lin Yun happily picked up the corpses with a chicken leg between her teeth.

Don’t ask. The answer was that the chicken leg had been stolen from Song Xizheng.

As for why Lin Yun could still pick up corpses while holding a chicken leg in her mouth... well, it was still in its packaging. She was only holding it in her mouth, not actually eating it.

Song Xizheng was speechless.

He had just picked it up from a nearby store! He had planned to enjoy it properly after finishing his work tonight, but who would have thought that a Cheng Yaojin would suddenly appear out of nowhere?!

This woman was incredibly shameless. He had clearly been trying to show her some kindness and concern, and instead, she had robbed him!

This was heartbreaking!

Song Xizheng raised his head and glared at Lin Yun again, wishing he had never come over.

This heartless woman!

He shifted his feet and ran back to collect the corpses to submit. The woman had already stolen his chicken leg; he couldn’t let her steal all the zombie corpses too!

Lin Yun glanced at Song Xizheng as he ran away.

Was it really necessary to steal a chicken leg from him?

He had practically delivered it right to her doorstep.

It was his own fault for not putting it away properly and simply stuffing it into his pocket. Of course she was going to take advantage of that.

Lin Yun stuffed the chicken leg she was holding in her mouth into her backpack and continued picking up the corpses.

As she continued collecting the bodies, she found that there were almost no more corpses left in the square, so Lin Yun stopped.

She looked around but couldn’t find where the two had gone.

They couldn’t have gone into the mall to do something sneaky, could they?

Lin Yun looked at the mall entrance not far away. It was pitch-black inside, with no lights at all, and the moonlight outside couldn’t illuminate what was inside.

To be honest, she didn’t want to enter the mall so late at night. It was too dark, and she was worried that something might happen.

"What, you want to go in?"

Song Xizheng had somehow crept over and was peeking at the mall from beside Lin Yun.

Lin Yun turned her head and looked him up and down again, beginning to wonder whether this person was really a survivor who had experienced several worlds.

He had the appearance of a sunny young man and seemed a little goofy, just like an energetic puppy.

If it weren’t for the fact that she had just stolen his chicken leg, Lin Yun probably would have really killed Song Xizheng when he approached her again.

"Although there are quite a few zombies inside, it’s the middle of the night. Let’s just go home and sleep, what do you think?"

Song Xizheng pulled his head back. The mall felt eerie, and he decided it was better not to go inside so late at night.

Lin Yun added, "I don’t plan to go in."

"Hey, sis, what’s your name? I’m Song Xizheng. Wanna be friends?"

The happy puppy Song Xizheng was the first to send her a friend request.

Lin Yun ignored him again, turned around, and left.

She went back toward the flower shop first. The two little ones could return to the flower shop on their own if they couldn’t find her.

Seeing that Lin Yun was ignoring him again, Song Xizheng stood there scratching his head.

Sigh. It’s all this damn survival game’s fault for preventing him from making friends!

However, he was indeed simple-minded. The reason he wanted to become friends with Lin Yun was because she had stolen his chicken leg.

But he had just finished collecting the corpses, and his anger had already subsided. He knew that Lin Yun wasn’t a bad person, so he wanted to approach her and make friends.

He’ll go crazy if he has to stay in this zombie world for forty days without anyone to hang out with!

But after thinking about it, Song Xizheng didn’t follow her. He was afraid that Lin Yun would really kill him again if he did.

However, the fact that they could both appear in this square meant that their shelters should be nearby, so there was still a chance they would run into each other again.

So Song Xizheng decided to ask her name again next time.

Lin Yun looked back and saw that he was sensible enough not to follow her, so she breathed a sigh of relief.

Even so, she still took a detour and returned to the staff break room through the back door of the flower shop.

After waiting for a while, two figures sneaked in from the front of the flower shop, seemingly carrying something in their mouths.

"Where have you two been?"

Lin Yun suddenly spoke, startling the two of them.

Sang Biao, in particular, was so startled that his fur stood on end.

Why did you scare the cat like that?!

Sang Biao put down what he was carrying and began babbling.

"The cat smelled cat food, so it took Tuan Tuan to look for it."

Sang Biao pushed the things toward Lin Yun.

"There’s a cat café inside. There are canned cat food and other things, but I didn’t take too much because I was afraid of making too much noise."

Lin Yun glanced at the items again. They were wrapped in a piece of cloth they had gotten from the shop. They had placed the items on top and carried them back by holding the cloth by its four corners.

"Let’s go back to the shelter first."

She picked up the bundle and took the two animals back to the shelter.

After entering the shelter, Sang Biao rushed into the bathroom, turned on the faucet, and crawled underneath it.

Lin Yun casually put the things down and went into the bathroom to wash the two animals.

"Are there still many cat treats left in the cat café?"

While rubbing Sang Biao’s fur, she also held Tuan Tuan under the running water.

"It’s alright, isn’t it? There’s still plenty left. Shall we get some cat food tomorrow? The cat hasn’t had any in a while."

In the previous world, they had managed to get some cat food, but since some of their underlings were kittens, they had given the cat food to the kittens.

Lin Yun had no objections.

They had already killed quite a few zombies today, and there probably weren’t many left in the mall. They could simply be careful and go in to check tomorrow.

"I’ll go check it out tomorrow, and I’ll open a can of cat food for you two in a bit."

"Good."

[I want some too! I want some too! Let me try some!]

Ghost Vine slipped in through the door, its body filthy.

However, after seeing Sang Biao and Tuan Tuan come in first, it had waited outside for a while to see what they had brought back.

Hearing the words "cat food," it immediately rushed in.

Lin Yun scooped it up again and gave it a squeeze.

"Little foodie."

[Whee.]

They weren’t very dirty. They had been quite careful when they went out, so a simple wash was enough.

Just squeeze some shower gel onto Ghost Vine and rub it in, and it was clean. It was that simple!

After opening the cans of cat food for them, Lin Yun yawned again and lay down to continue sleeping.

"You guys behave yourselves. Eat, then go to sleep. Don’t sneak out."

"Uh-huh!"

[I know.]

Before Lin Yun could get up and leave, it suddenly started raining outside.

Ghost Vine climbed onto the window, looked at the rain outside, and let out a roar.

[What do we do? It’s raining.]

Sang Biao nimbly jumped onto the table.

"Cat, go out and check the situation."

When Lin Yun got out of bed again, she saw Sang Biao, soaking wet, squatting by the door.

"?"

Where have you been?

Lin Yun quickly got up and grabbed a towel to dry Sang Biao’s fur.

"It’s raining outside. Are you still going out today?"

Sang Biao raised his paw and pointed toward the window.

Lin Yun turned her head and looked again, clearly not expecting it to suddenly rain today.

She turned back and wiped the rain from Sang Biao, asking, "What was the situation when you went out? Are there more zombies in the square?"

Sang Biao shook his fur and stretched.

"Yes, but not many."
