Swordsmanship Coach: Kill with One Slash
Chapter 141 - 120: Please, Take This Move of MineChapter 141: Chapter 120: Please, Take This Move of Mine
About ten kilometers from the wasteland,
a black sedan was hurtling toward the wilderness at speeds far exceeding the highway limit.
Bailan’s Sequence had keenly detected an extremely intense energy fluctuation in that direction, so the special organization had unhesitatingly decided to investigate.
Li Yu was driving, Elder Lu was resting in the passenger seat with his eyes closed, and only Bailan was staring grimly at the clouds of yellow sand faintly visible in the distance.
As someone who had always followed Li Yu, Bailan had seen her fair share of Tier 4 Sequencers, even fighting alongside them personally.
But even the strongest Sequencer she had ever met couldn’t possibly generate such an exaggerated energy fluctuation. This was completely beyond Bailan’s understanding of Tier 4.
’So... could the one there be Tier 5?’
At this thought, Bailan’s eyelid twitched. She had a keen sense that the attack on the organization’s building might have a follow-up.
She picked up a pair of binoculars and looked into the distance. Though she was still too far away to see the scene in the wilderness clearly, the binoculars gave her a more direct sense of the violent energy fluctuations there.
’Who are the two sides fighting?’
’Are any of our people there?’
Bailan wondered.
In her vision, an extremely thick, crimson energy clashed with a large cluster of miscellaneous energies.
But every time the miscellaneous energies collided with the crimson one, they would diminish rapidly. She even began to suspect the battle might be over by the time their car arrived.
The slaughter was just too fast.
In about a minute or two, the crimson energy, like a hungry tiger, had completely slaughtered all the larger energy signatures around it.
Each of those energy signatures represented a Sequencer of at least Tier 2, or even Tier 3! In the past, they would have been considered a core force, but now they were being mercilessly slaughtered.
Clearly, this was a one-sided massacre.
"Li Yu, can this thing go any faster?"
"This is as fast as it goes."
"Alright."
Bailan sighed internally, her dark eyes fixed on the distance.
Suddenly,
five even larger energy signatures appeared.
...
On the sand dune,
shrouded in crimson energy, Su Xing stood alone.
A flash of surprise crossed his eyes. He shook his head, looking around, his sanity clearly fully restored.
Around him lay bloody corpses, vast swaths of mangled flesh and dismembered bodies strewn across the dune. Wreckage from exploded armored vehicles jutted out from the sand like morbid decorations, bearing witness to Su Xing’s recent slaughter.
Su Xing had been able to regain his senses,
not because he had already killed the wielder of the Curse Armor.
Instead, it was because he discovered that the energy from "Sword Shatter" could block the influence of the "Curse Power."
It was just that, in the beginning, Su Xing had been too close to the source of the Curse Power. The illusions it created were so deep-rooted that it took the energy from the Sparrow Sword’s "Sword Shatter" a full minute to block it completely.
But in the end, it was blocked.
Having just experienced that twisted illusion, Su Xing couldn’t help but exclaim inwardly:
’It feels so damn good to be clear-headed again.’
Su Xing glanced at the surrounding corpses and tightened his right hand around the Black Sword in his palm. The contents of the illusion he’d just seen flashed through his mind before quickly dissipating.
A thought suddenly occurred to him.
’If it weren’t for the rule that a Sequence can typically only have one wielder,
if Sequencers didn’t have this hard-and-fast rule, then "He" could simply grant the Curse Armor blessing to a few Tier 4 or Tier 5 Spiritualist Followers. They could then burn through their lifespans to lock onto members of the special organization, and the situation would become incredibly difficult to handle.’
’Fortunately, if there’s only one wielder of the Curse Armor Sequence, it’s much easier to deal with.’
’Since he has to consume his own lifespan to use the Curse Power, he can’t just unleash it wantonly. Besides, now that I have "Sword Shatter", I don’t need to be afraid of these tricky Sequences anymore.’
Putting those thoughts aside, Su Xing looked at the closed gates of the military base in the distance. He could still feel the Curse Power connected to him, which meant its user was still in the base, casting their spell, and hadn’t fled.
This feeling of clarity only strengthened Su Xing’s desire to beat the person into a vegetative state.
Only by keeping him alive, crippled and bedridden, would the Curse Armor Sequence not pass to a new master and remain permanently disabled.
Thinking of this, Su Xing clenched his fist and muttered,
"I absolutely can’t let this Sequence get away!"
Just then,
as if in response to Su Xing’s thoughts, the gates of the abandoned military base suddenly swung open. But before he could enter, five massive Mechas drove out, blocking his path.
These Mechas emanated a familiar aura—
that of the Space High Priest.
However, while they resembled the Space High Priest’s, they also weren’t quite the same. Although the design was similar to a Space Mecha, they lacked any trace of Spatial Sequence Energy.
It was as if someone had modified the original design. Though they lacked the power of the Space Sequence, they were clearly more powerful in other respects.
