Chapter 153: Chapter 125: Blood Words 2

Just as the call was placed.

BOOM!!!

A tremendous roar suddenly erupted!

The alloy door in front of Curse shattered. A violent wave of white energy, like a roaring mountain flood, surged in from outside and slammed into Curse, blasting him away!

Curse couldn’t hold onto his phone. It clattered to the side as his entire body was launched backward, smashing hard against the wall behind him.

The immense impact made him feel as if his body were splitting apart. He coughed up a mouthful of blood, slid down from the wall, and rolled several times before coming to a stop.

Uncertainty, confusion, fear—

All sorts of emotions washed over his pain-wracked body. He forced his eyes open and stared at the man who had kicked down the door and was now slowly walking in.

"Su... Su Xing...?"

"How, how... how can it be you!!!"

Disbelief filled Curse’s eyes.

He felt as if his entire worldview had been shattered. His right hand rose, trembling, as he pointed at Su Xing and stammered:

"You, you... Aren’t you an ordinary person?!"

"That’s just what you all thought."

Su Xing stepped into the room. His eyes swept over the various dissection tools and the dense, purple curse energy, a cold glint appearing in their depths.

"So you’re the one behind all this?"

Su Xing glanced at Curse, who was lying on the ground. He strode forward, grabbed him by the collar, and lifted him off his feet, sneering.

"Rest assured, I won’t let you die. You’ll be confined to a bed, living forever."

"You, you’re... the mysterious master!"

"Spare, spare me... I’m innocent! I was forced by the Spiritual Sect! I’m really innocent!"

Curse’s pleas were wretched. ’He had fought so hard to get to where he was today; how could he possibly want to die!’

"Shut up!"

Su Xing’s brow furrowed as he roared.

"AHH—!"

The moment he shouted "Shut up!", Su Xing slammed Curse to the ground. Curse immediately spat out a large mouthful of blood and screamed, his legs flailing as his face contorted in agony.

Indifferent to Curse’s suffering, Su Xing grabbed him again and kicked him squarely in the chest. Curse was sent flying backward, smashing into the wall once more!

"Tell me, where is your master now, and what is he planning?"

Su Xing grabbed him by the neck, lifting him from the ground as he demanded coldly.

’Su Xing clearly remembered the diagram Curse had drawn in the organization’s building. The Spiritual Sect definitely had a plan.’

"Hahaha!!!"

"You so-called righteous heroes... are you all this arrogant? You think you can beat it out of me? Don’t underestimate me!!!"

Curse grinned, his teeth stained bright red with blood. He spat out copious amounts of blood as he spoke, including visible fragments of his internal organs.

His life force was visibly draining away, and the fear on his face twisted into a grotesque, maniacal laugh!

"Hahaha!!!"

"Once I convert my remaining life force into curse energy, your death today is certain!!!"

BANG!

Su Xing slammed a fist directly into Curse’s lower abdomen. Curse’s eyes bulged, and a trickle of blood ran down the corner of his mouth. With that one punch, Su Xing had instantly shattered the Source of the Sequence located in his Dantian!

With the Source shattered, the "curse energy" instantly disintegrated, receding back into the space within Curse’s abdomen. The massive exertion caused his eyes to roll back in their sockets, and he passed out.

Su Xing indifferently tossed Curse to the floor. He flicked the blood from his hand as the crimson energy enveloping his body vanished. An indescribable exhaustion washed over him.

’Is my time up?’

Su Xing leaned against the wall, taking several deep breaths to combat his fatigue, and muttered:

"At least the hallucinations didn’t show up this time."

The Sparrow Sword materialized once more, circling around Su Xing. This time, however, it was far more translucent, lacking its earlier solidity.

Su Xing glanced down at himself. The purple lines had completely vanished. He nodded, thinking:

’The purple lines really are gone.’

’Now I just need to contact my brother and have him come clean this up.’

Whether it was handing over the clothes or keeping Curse imprisoned and alive, these were all tasks for the special organization.

Su Xing leaned against the wall for a long while before a faint white energy began to emanate from his body. As it did, his weakness rapidly faded, and soon he felt as if nothing had happened at all.

Just then,

A BEEPING sound suddenly rang out.

Su Xing looked toward the source of the sound. It was a ringing phone, likely the one Curse had dropped just moments before. He walked over, snatched it up, and saw the caller ID: "Vice Bishop." He answered.

"Curse, why the sudden call? Oh, the mission must be complete."

"I was in the middle of some research, so I missed your call. I have to tell you, I feel like I’m on the verge of grasping the marvels of the Martial Artist. If I make a breakthrough this time, I’ll be sure to enhance you first."

"Sigh! If that fool Fury had been more competent and brought me that little girl, Lu Anning, it would have been perfect. Getting a look at her body would be a massive help."

After this long spiel, the person on the other end finally noticed something was amiss and asked:

"Curse, why aren’t you saying anything?"

"Because I killed him."

Su Xing said coldly, "And you’re next."

As her coach, hearing someone talk so brazenly about dissecting one of his own disciples ignited a fire in Su Xing’s heart.

"Oh?"

"Quite the tone you have there. May I ask which esteemed figure from the special organization I have the pleasure of speaking with?"

Vice Bishop Jie paused, his tone growing more cautious. He felt nothing about Curse’s death. It was merely the loss of a relatively loyal dog, and there was never a shortage of dogs to be had.

"You just need to remember."

"I’m the one who’s going to kill you."

With that, Su Xing crushed the phone in his hand, casually tossing aside the sparking fragments.

The screech of tires.

A car had suddenly stopped near the institute’s entrance. Su Xing looked over, sensing three somewhat familiar auras. It had to be the special organization.

He glanced down at the unconscious Curse, then, after a moment’s thought, dipped his fingers in Curse’s blood and began to write on the wall.

...

"Li Yu, what happened here?"

In the underground research institute, Li Yu and his two companions made their way deeper inside. They saw countless corpses and piles of flesh, a sight that made even Bailan feel nauseous.

"A very intense battle."

"Many of the dead are wearing the robes of the Spiritual Sect, so they were one of the factions involved. As for the other... it’s difficult to say."

Li Yu was taking it much better than Bailan. He kept his head down as they walked, his brows furrowed in concentration as he muttered his analysis.

He looked at Elder Lu, who hadn’t spoken, and asked:

"Elder Lu, you’re Rank 5. What’s your take on this?"

"This is just my gut feeling, so don’t take it as fact. Just for your reference. I think the aura of the other party feels a bit like that mysterious master you’ve mentioned, but there’s also something else... something different."

"The mysterious master?"

"What would he be doing here?"

Bailan exclaimed.

She’d been thinking the aura here felt familiar, like someone she knew, but couldn’t place it. ’So it was the mysterious master all along.’

But...

’The special organization couldn’t even find this place,’

’How did the mysterious master manage to find it?’

The trio continued on, talking as they went. They saw floors covered in bodies and gore, but not a single living person. It seemed the mysterious master had killed everyone.

Soon, they reached the deepest part of the institute. Li Yu, who was in the lead, was the first to enter the room. The overwhelming stench of blood hit him, and his expression changed in an instant.

In the most prominent spot on the wall, someone had used blood to leave several lines of large text.

This is a research institute of the Spiritual Sect.

Its master is the second Vice Bishop, Vice Bishop Jie. He specializes in kidnapping ordinary or talented people for human experiments to study Sequencers, Martial Artists, and other Extraordinary Beings.

Vice Bishop Jie’s Sequence seems to be related to analysis and research. He has developed many items that ordinary people can use. On the bed are five damaged combat suits. I hope you can take them back and learn something from them. This could increase the survival rate of low-level Sequencers.

The person lying next to the bed is not dead. His Sequence is "Curse Armor," and he is very troublesome to deal with. It is recommended that you neither let him wake up nor let him die. That way, the Sequence won’t transfer to someone else.

...

Finally, I do not wish to expose my identity, but I bear you no malice.

Perhaps we will meet again.
