Chapter 207: Chapter 150: Fight to the Death

"Arrogant!!!"

The Bishop laughed in a fit of rage, his face twisting into a savage snarl. The armor, which had already swelled with power after absorbing his clone’s energy, now showed signs of growing even larger.

He leaped high into the air, spreading his arms like a great roc before plummeting down, his hand a blade aimed straight for Su Xing’s head.

Then, catching the light,

an indescribable flash of a sword streaked between them.

The Bishop’s airborne body froze mid-lunge. While still suspended in the air, his armor—and the chest beneath it—was sliced open in a vibrant bloom of red. He was sent flying backward, tumbling across the ground several times before finally skidding to a halt.

The Bishop looked down.

The armor, condensed from his black sequence energy, had been pierced clean through. A shockingly deep gash now stretched from his chest to his abdomen, slanting from left to right. The sight was not just startling, it was horrifying.

He glanced at Su Xing,

and then at the ink-black heavy sword in his hand.

Droplets of fresh blood trickled down the blade’s dark, intricate patterns, finally dripping to the ground and spreading into a pool of crimson.

The Bishop’s expression shifted from fury to gloom, and finally, to a hint of fear. The disdain in his eyes was replaced with caution and gravity.

"A Tier Five Martial Artist?"

"How are you this strong?"

As he spoke,

a cold sweat broke out on his forehead.

A wave of fear washed over him. If his armor, condensed from tier-six sequence energy, hadn’t been so durable... even though it was shattered, it had absorbed most of the attack’s power. Otherwise, that one slash would have either killed him or left him grievously wounded.

Su Xing’s expression grew even colder, like that of a demon from Hell. His face was impassive, his eyes burning with raw, undisguised killing intent.

"Ptui!"

Spitting a mouthful of blood, the Bishop sneered, his expression hardening as he prepared to give it his all.

Su Xing said nothing.

A transparent current of air simply began to shimmer around his Black Sword, causing it to gradually vanish from sight.

The Bishop had lost his earlier boldness and aggressive strategy.

He was now far more reserved and cautious. As he watched Su Xing, thin black threads appeared on his broken chest plate, gradually stitching the gash closed.

"No matter how strong you are..."

"You can’t possibly withstand my sequence, can you?"

The moment he spoke,

his armor twisted grotesquely.

It writhed and shifted as if sprouting tentacles, finally forming four massive black appendages on its back. They were long and thick, and looked incredibly difficult to block.

’Heh heh.’

’So what if you’re strong?’

’I’m a Tier Six, after all. The gap between us is as vast as that between the stars and the moon. Taking down a Tier Five is just a matter of time; it just means I’ll have to use a few more tricks.’

The Bishop was lost in thought when he saw Su Xing beckon to him with a single finger.

"You’re courting death!!!"

The Bishop had already been suppressing a burning rage from Su Xing’s repeated provocations, and now it finally exploded.

The four tentacles on his back began to writhe wildly. The lower two braced against the ground, hoisting his entire body up, while the other two—long, thick, and resembling raging pythons—smashed down toward Su Xing!

Su Xing’s expression turned cold, his eyes narrowing. He stepped forward with his right foot, twisting at the waist. He drew his sword as one draws a bow and unleashed it like an arrow. The instant the sword’s power coalesced, the entire floor of the building utterly collapsed!

If it’s a head-on collision he wants, then so be it!

Meet force with force, kill with the sword!

BOOM!!!

In the blink of an eye, the blade struck.

As they collided, both men lost their footing and plummeted downward.

Su Xing found a falling chunk of rubble and lightly tapped it with his foot. The rock instantly shattered, but the burst of momentum was enough for him to grab hold of a nearby wall.

The Bishop’s solution was much simpler.

Although he had been sent plummeting after his tentacles clashed with Su Xing, and had been unable to react for a moment, he quickly recovered. He stabbed the tentacles from his back deep into the wall behind him, arresting his fall and saving himself from certain death.

Yes.

If he had fallen all the way to the ground floor.

He would have created the perfect opportunity for this man to kill him with a single blow.

Thankfully...

PSHHH!!!

The thought had barely crossed his mind,

when he suddenly coughed up a mouthful of crimson blood.

Even under the mask of sequence energy, the Bishop’s face was undeniably pale. Fresh blood stained the corners of his mouth. A sword gash had appeared on one of his tentacles, so deep it had nearly been severed.

Seeing his opponent cough up blood,

a sharp glint flashed in Su Xing’s eyes.

He sprinted along the wall, as agile as a fox. With a series of nimble movements, he positioned himself directly above the Bishop and brought his Black Sword down in a vertical slash. The moment his blade connected, the Bishop would be dead.

However,

the Bishop was a veteran.

His combat experience far surpassed Su Xing’s, and he reacted instantly.

He leaned to one side and yanked two of his tentacles from the wall. Using them like a swing, he launched his entire body upward. He was like a great bear taking flight, arms spread wide as he lunged at Su Xing, an utterly cruel smile on his face.

As the Bishop counterattacked,

the tentacles on his back transformed into four sharp, black spikes.

His armor also began to swell. A KRAK-KRAK-KRAK sound, like rolling thunder, echoed without end. In the blink of an eye, both the Bishop and the black spikes on his back seemed to have ballooned in size. He was like a giant mountain, crashing down on Su Xing with immense, crushing force.
