The Spirit Realm.
After the sound of the explosion faded,
the entire Spirit Realm descended into a state of frantic chaos.
Countless Sequencers
rushed toward the source of the blast to provide support.
They had to prevent this anomaly
from escalating into something the special organization could not handle.
As a result,
the area where Su Xing and Su Yu were suddenly became eerily quiet—so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
Su Yu was wearing a plain T-shirt and ankle-length pants, making him look no different from a tourist at first glance. But a sequence energy was already beginning to emanate from his body.
Su Yu's sequence energy,
was unlike that of any other Sequencer Su Xing had ever seen.
Other Sequencers
mostly had only one sequence.
Thus, their sequence energy was relatively simple—or, you could say, pure.
Even those with multiple sequences
rarely had as many as Su Yu.
This made Su Yu's sequence energy appear incredibly colorful, like several different types of energies jumbled together.
Unfortunately, aside from his one Adjudication Sequence, the grades of his other sequences were not very high—in fact, they could be considered quite low in the current combat environment.
This greatly limited Su Yu's practical combat ability. Otherwise, even without using his Adjudication Sequence, he would have possessed immense fighting strength.
Beside Su Yu,
the hidden Su Xing stood silently to one side.
Compared to Su Yu, whose potential was yet to be realized,
the current Su Xing could be considered a fully-formed fighting force.
Therefore, neither Su Yu nor Su Xing was particularly worried about the sudden attack. They were, however, concerned about the casualties among the Sequencers on the other side.
"Should we go?"
Su Yu asked, glancing in Su Xing's direction.
"Let's go."
Su Xing replied with a nod.
Although Su Yu couldn't see where Su Xing was, an unspoken, subtle understanding between them always allowed him to sense his older brother's location.
THUMP... THUMP... THUMP...
The sound of Su Xing's footsteps on the floor slowly reached Su Yu's ears, letting him know his older brother was already heading toward their destination.
The two of them arrived at a fork in the road.
The Spirit Realm,
was, after all, built within a mountainous region.
Forks in the road
were not just a few—
they were everywhere.
However, this didn't affect Su Xing and Su Yu, as Su Yu already knew the terrain like the back of his hand.
The two chose a path and followed it to the mouth of a cave. A guard should have been stationed here, but they were now gone.
Only the pitch-black cave entrance remained, like some kind of monster with its mouth wide open, waiting for them to walk right into its trap.
Not only that,
clinging to the cave walls were gecko-like creatures. They remained perfectly still, showing no reaction to Su Xing and Su Yu's arrival.
To be honest,
if not for Su Xing's sharp senses,
he wouldn't have noticed the Spiritual Qi-like energy emanating from these geckos, and they might have already fallen into a trap.
"Bro?"
Su Yu took a step forward but felt as if he had run into something. He quickly retreated several steps. Looking up, he saw only empty space ahead and instantly realized Su Xing had stopped him. Confused, he asked,
"What's wrong?"
"Yeah, it's dangerous. I can sense the aura of spiritual beasts inside, but there's no trace of any humans."
Su Xing said with a nod.
He didn't explain further, simply telling Su Yu to stay put. He went to find a barrel of oil nearby and then returned.
This barrel of oil
was probably left here by the special organization for refueling vehicles.
Now, however,
Su Xing was about to use it to set off an explosion.
Without hesitation, Su Xing opened the lid and dumped the gasoline from the plastic barrel directly into the cave. The large barrel was emptied in moments, and the smell of gasoline began to fill the air.
Su Xing took a few steps back, but still feeling it wasn't safe enough, he had Su Yu retreat further. Only when they were more than ten meters away did Su Xing pull a lighter from his pocket that he had picked up earlier.
With a CLICK,
he lit the lighter.
He then tossed it toward the cave in front of him.
The lighter traced a graceful arc through the air before landing precisely inside the cave. The moment it touched the ground, the nearby gasoline ignited instantly. Flames surged in all directions, and in the blink of an eye, the entire cave was engulfed in a raging inferno.
A moment later,
BOOM!!!
Following a deep, deafening roar, a massive Fireball erupted from the cave, blasting out several meters and even engulfing Su Xing in its reach.
The rolling heatwave
washed over Su Xing,
instantly incinerating his clothes completely.
His body, however, was completely unharmed.
Thankfully, Su Xing had felt uneasy and made Su Yu retreat another ten-plus meters. If those flames had enveloped him, he definitely might not have been able to withstand them.
After all,
Sequencers didn't have the monstrously tough bodies and terrifying Defense Power of a Martial Artist.
The flash fire lasted only a moment before things settled down. The raging inferno continued to burn within the cave, bathing the entire area in a crimson glow as bright as the midday sun.
