Emma covered her ears with both hands, looking between Dante and Natasha with red eyes that looked like tears could fall at any moment.

If the employees of Raven Group knew their cold, rigid CEO had been teased to the verge of tears, it would be very interesting to see their reactions.

Especially if they saw the cute pout on her face right now. The woman who made Fortune 500 executives sweat during negotiations was sulking in a man's arms with elf ears drooping behind her fingers like a puppy that just got scolded.

"You two are the worst." Emma sniffled, refusing to look at either of them. "I'm going through the most traumatic experience of my life and you're laughing at me."

"I said I was sorry." Natasha cleared her throat and crouched down slightly to meet her eyes. "Let me see your ears properly and check if nothing changed."

"No!"

"Emma."

"You're going to laugh again."

"I won't. I promise." Natasha said with a straight face that lasted about three seconds before the corner of her mouth twitched.

"SEE?! You're already doing it!"

"I'm not! That was a muscle spasm!"

Dante watched the two of them go back and forth and couldn't help but smile. 'These two really are like mother and daughter.'

'And they're going to stay that way. Even after they're both mine.' He imagined some scenes in his mind and a pervy smile formed inside.

He shifted Emma in his arms slightly. "If you keep hiding them, you'll never learn to control them."

Emma glared up at him. "Easy for you to say! You don't have rabbit ears growing out of your head."

"They're elf ears."

"I don't care what they are! They move on their own!" She looked distressed. "What if they pop out during a meeting? What if I'm signing a billion-rollad contract and my ears start doing that twitching thing again?"

The image was so vivid that both Dante and Natasha had to look away from each other to avoid losing it a second time.

As Natasha was trying hard to control her laughter, she recalled something about Legendary bloodlines.

'Wait... Legendary bloodlines come with their own mana techniques. For a race as ancient as the ice elves, she should have inherited more than just a mana technique.'

"Emma, you should have received some kind of inheritance from your bloodline." Natasha's expression went back to her usual composure. "Go through them carefully. There should be a method to transform back."

"Master, what are you talking—" Emma started to ask but the word 'inheritance' made her pause in the middle of her sentence.

The moment she focused on it, a flood of information rushed into her mind as if it had always been there, just waiting for her to look.

'A mana technique? The history and origin of the ice elves?' It was like a movie had started playing behind her eyes. 'A transformation technique...?'

Her eyes snapped open.

'This is it!'

She went through the details in her head and a relieved smile spread across her face. "I found it! There's a way to switch back!"

"That's great." Natasha also breathed a sigh of relief.

But there was no response from Dante. Both of them turned to look at him and it took a moment before he came to his senses.

"Nice. Now you can go to work without any problems." He spoke with a nervous smile.

"Why do I hear disappointment in your voice?" Emma glared at him with suspicion.

"What? How could I possibly be disappointed about that?" Dante looked at her with a wronged expression. "I'm happy for you. Really."

Emma squinted at him for a few seconds before letting it go.

'First the cat ears, now the elf ears.' Natasha had caught the brief flash of disappointment in his eyes before he hid it. 'Does this boy have a thing for non-human ears?'

'I wish I had a non-human bloodline too.'

Emma closed her eyes and followed the steps one by one. Her pointed ears slowly shrank back to their normal shape and the pale tone of her skin warmed up, returning to her original appearance.

When she opened her eyes and checked her reflection, a smile broke across her face. "I DID IT!"

"Master, is Emma going to train with me too?" Dante asked with a smile.

He didn't want Emma anywhere near their secret study room. If she saw the way Natasha was teaching him, things would go south very fast.

'But she won't listen if I'm the one telling her not to come.' He figured Natasha was the better option. There was no way she wanted an audience while she was trying to seduce her own student.

Hearing his words, Emma's eyes immediately lit up. "Master, can I join too?"

Natasha's smile turned stiff.

As a master, it was her duty to teach a student who had just stepped onto the path of mana cultivation. But as a woman, the training sessions were the only time she had Dante to herself.

'And there's no way I can let her see what I wore during the lessons.' She could already picture Emma's face if she saw the stockings, the tight blouse, and the skirt she picked out specifically to distract Dante.

The thought alone made her want to dig a hole and crawl into it.

'But I can't neglect her completely either.' She went through her options, trying to think of a solution.

A few moments passed. Emma noticed her looking down with a serious expression. "Master...?"

Natasha came out of her thoughts and calmed herself before speaking with a firm look. "I can't let you join the successor training. There are things I can only teach to the successor."

'Such as how to seduce me?' Dante was dying on the inside.

"Is that so..." Emma trailed off, her voice dropping.

Dante felt a small pang of guilt seeing her look so down. He reached over and patted her head. "It really is a shame. I just had a breakthrough so I could have helped with your training a lot."

Emma's danger sense went off immediately. 'A breakthrough means he got stronger, right?'

'A-and I literally just became an awakener.' She shook his hand off her head and said in a cold tone. "It's fine. I can train on my own."

'Help me with my training? You just want another excuse to bully me!' She huffed and turned her face away.

'Huh?' Natasha looked between the two of them with a confused expression. 'Didn't she just say she wanted to join? Why did she change her mind all of a sudden?'

She guessed it was something between the two of them and decided not to pry. "But I can spare a day. I will teach you the fundamentals tomorrow. After that, you can come to me whenever you have questions."

"What about me, Master?" Dante immediately asked with a teasing smile, glancing at Emma.

Before Natasha could even open her mouth, Emma blurted out. "NO, YOU CAN'T!"

The second the words left her, she regretted it. Both Natasha and Dante were staring at her with raised eyebrows.

"...Anyway." Natasha turned back to Dante. "There is no training for you tomorrow. You can do whatever you want. Consider it a reward for your breakthrough."

Only after hearing him mention it did she actually sense his cultivation. Reaching Mana Awakening Mid Stage just days after becoming an awakener was impressive.

It wasn't that difficult of a breakthrough but most newcomers neglected their training early on.

Discipline and consistency mattered just as much as talent at this stage.

"Okay, Master!" Dante would never refuse a day off.

Since Natasha would be busy teaching Emma, it wasn't an ideal situation for him to assign any missions to them.

Besides, he had things to take care of on his own. Like awakening his bloodline and bonding with the Formless Fragment.

After laying her on the bed and pulling the covers over her, Dante flicked her forehead with a smile. "Don't cause another blizzard. The mansion already looks like an ice cave."

"Ow! It's not like I did it on purpose!" Emma rubbed her forehead and glared at him.

Dante turned toward the door but froze when he saw Natasha staring at him with a hint of resentment in her eyes. The lights were off so Emma couldn't see her expression properly.

'He didn't flick my forehead before.'

'...is that what she's upset about?' He could practically read her thoughts. He didn't know his master was such an unreasonable person.

At that time, she was supposed to be sleeping. How was he supposed to flick her forehead?

"Good night, Master." He said with a smile and quickly escaped back to his room.

Natasha stood at the door, watching him run off with a smile on her face. Of course she knew her thoughts were unreasonable. She just didn't care.

She closed the door and walked back to her room.

Emma was staring at the ceiling with a blank expression. This was the best day she had in years. She went to a gala with Dante, did so many things with him, and even became an awakener.

[Congratulations! You have successfully taken the first step on the path of mana cultivation!]

No matter how much Natasha taught her in a single day, Dante knew it wouldn't be enough.

He would protect her from everything without a second thought. But he wanted her to have the power to defend herself too.

As an orphan in his previous life, he knew the importance of independence better than anyone.

"Uh a manual?" Emma looked at the system panel with a surprise. She claimed the reward and looked at the manual in her hand.

'I guess it's time to pull an all-nighter.' An excited smile formed on her face.
