Tech Dominator Starts with Raising Kids
Chapter 728: Zero’s Glorious DeedsAs they ate, Candy suddenly stopped, her brow furrowed in concentration.
"What’s wrong?" Mo Jingchun asked in confusion, looking at Candy. The dishes tasted fine, so why was she frowning?
Candy quickly put down her chopsticks and ran silently to the bathroom.
When Candy returned, Mo Jingchun chuckled, "Still dare to drink that much?"
"No more," she replied.
"I doubt it."
After dinner, Mo Jingchun was tidying up the table when he looked up unintentionally, only to see Zhou Yaling, her hair disheveled and wearing pajamas, coming out of the elevator with a basin in hand.
Her once pale face now had much more color.
"There’s still porridge in the rice cooker, and I just put the dishes in the fridge."
Hearing this, Zhou Yaling weakly rolled her eyes at her brother.
"I’m not a pig; I can’t eat that much."
After putting down the basin and chopsticks, Zhou Yaling turned and went upstairs.
She casually took Bun with her, likely to warm her bed.
"Brother, why doesn’t sister go to the hospital if she’s sick?"
While wiping the table, Mo Jingchun asked with a smile, "Then why do you resist going to the hospital for a shot?"
"Oh!" Candy nodded and said, "So sister is also afraid of injections."
Who wouldn’t be afraid? The last time she had a tetanus shot, it probably left her traumatized.
In the evening, Mo Jingchun and Candy were watching a horror film.
At that moment, Zhou Yaling came down looking like nothing had happened.
Except for not changing clothes, you couldn’t tell that she was groaning "Ow ow ow" in bed just this morning.
Candy tapped her brother’s arm and pointed.
Following Candy’s direction, Mo Jingchun saw Zhou Yaling full of vitality.
"Are you alright now?"
Zhou Yaling fearlessly took a bite of her apple and said indifferently, "How serious could it be?"
"Come on, you were groaning endlessly this morning, weren’t you?"
Zhou Yaling’s face turned red, but groaning really helped relieve the pain.
It’s uncomfortable not to groan.
"You’ve never seemed so much in pain before; what happened this time?"
"How would I know, I probably caught a chill while sleeping last night."
The next afternoon, the three of them were lounging on chairs in the courtyard, basking in the sunlight.
There was food if they wanted to eat and drinks if they wanted to drink.
Candy was also enjoying this lifestyle.
Suddenly, the trio tilted their heads toward the door.
They had just heard the sound of brakes.
This was a private area; without permission, Wild Wolf and his crew wouldn’t let anyone in.
"Surprise!"
"I’m back!"
Zero awkwardly jumped a bit.
In the courtyard, Mo Jingchun and the others uniformly lowered their sunglasses, quietly watching Zero, who brought his own BGM.
"So awkward," Zero commented.
Eventually, it was Candy who broke the silence.
The next moment, Zero turned around and brought in a large bag of items from outside.
This immediately piqued Candy’s interest.
"Zero, what’s in there?"
Seeing this, Zero grinned and said, "All gifts I brought back for you guys."
"Wow!"
Excitedly, Candy took off her sunglasses, sat up from the recliner, and couldn’t wait to see what the gifts were.
Even Mo Jingchun and Zhou Yaling were a bit curious and gathered around.
The gifts Zero brought back should be something nice, right?
Candy opened the large bag and took out the first item.
After a closer look, she said in a daze, "Isn’t this a small desk lamp?"
Putting it aside casually, Candy randomly picked out the second item.
"A charging cable???"
As she took out each item, Candy’s expression grew darker.
Earphones, a fan, USB drives... all sorts of unexpected items, everything imaginable was there.
Candy couldn’t be bothered to rummage through it all and decided to dump everything out at once.
Oh wow, just as expected, it was all a bunch of little trinkets.
Mo Jingchun sorted through the small gifts, clicking his tongue in amazement.
"Not bad, Zero, it’s like a free shopping spree."
"With so many small gifts, did you walk through the entire exhibition area?"
Upon hearing this, Zero proudly gave a thumbs up, smiling and complimenting, "Boss, you’re really smart to guess that!"
"Do I even need to guess? It’s obvious with so many items."
"Only you, I wouldn’t have managed to go around and pick up all those little gifts one by one."
Zero nonchalantly waved his hand, "Boss, you don’t understand. I didn’t even need to ask; they just gave them to me."
"Really? There’s such a good thing?" Mo Jingchun clearly didn’t believe it.
Just then, Zhou Yaling burst into laughter, "It’s true, brother, look at this video, Zero has gone viral."
The three heads came together, prompting Zhou Yaling to move her phone closer.
In the video, Zero is shown with a large bag, collecting gifts as per request.
It started off normal, but towards the end, it seemed the entire exhibition center knew Zero was collecting small gifts, leading to a theatrical scene where as long as Zero walked by with his bag, everyone would voluntarily offer small gifts, and take a quick photo.
"Not bad, Zero."
"You really have hidden talents!"
Candy also looked at Zero with admiration.
So that’s how this whole bag of small gifts came to be.
Zero shrugged nonchalantly, "You don’t get it, many people envied me then."
Each and everyone wanted to pose for a photo with me.
"I know this! I even saved that video."
As she spoke, Zhou Yaling had already found the video she saved two days ago.
"Yes, this is it."
After watching the video, Mo Jingchun and Candy looked at Zero differently.
After holding back for a few seconds, Candy burst out laughing, "Zero, so your eyes can not only take pictures but also flash!"
"Why didn’t I hear you mention it before?"
Indeed, the video Zhou Yaling saved was when Zero, in frustration, used his eyes to flash and scare off those secretly filming him.
"Damn, I’m going to sue for infringement of my image rights."
After sorting through them, Mo Jingchun found that among the small gifts Zero brought back, there were actually some useful items.
Not to mention, those charging cables could be quite useful.
"By the way, boss, some industrial robots were wanted by someone, so I sold them instead of bringing them back."
"If they’re sold, they’re sold. Bringing them back would have been for scrap metal anyway."
"Oh no, the company’s top salespeople are really great. Even those crappy machines I designed brought in quite a few orders."
"Someone actually ordered in bulk?"
"They did. These people really trust Candy Technology’s quality."
"Wow, they have a keen eye. Just set up a temporary factory for production, and make sure everything’s arranged."
To motivate Zero a bit, Mo Jingchun continued, "You’ll take ten percent of the profits."
"The sales team signed the deals, so figure out how much bonus to give them, and have finance disburse it."
