"In my previous life, my name was Irakiel..."
Orpheus stared at him in utter shock "...What? Reincarnated?"
She pushed herself up slightly from his chest, the sheet slipping further down her back as she looked down at him with wide green eyes.
"So you like remember everything from your past life?"
Looking into her gaze, he nodded "Mhm. Elfaria is also like me... we were very close in the past life."
"And we met again in this life..."
Her eyes trembled "You two were close... and then both of you were reborn into this world. And somehow, you found each other again."
She let out a slow breath and sat up more fully on his abdomen "Okay, okay... let me think about this."
Klein pushed himself up slightly, resting back against the headboard.
As he moved, Orpheus adjusted with him, sliding fully into his lap.
Her bare legs settled on either side of his hips, and she wrapped her arms around his neck without hesitation.
The soft weight of her breasts pressed against his bare chest as she pulled herself closer.
Klein kissed her lips "In my past life, I was an Acolyte of a Lesser Divinity," he murmured against her mouth.
"Zrryha. I served her until the end of the war that destroyed us."
Orpheus listened without interrupting, her arms still looped around his neck.
"When everything fell apart. I died with her cause. What exists now is what was salvaged afterward. And a second chance in this world under a different name."
Orpheus’s fingers curled slightly against the back of his neck "...I see."
Her gaze lowered for a moment thoughtfully before she looked at him again.
"Tell me more."
With a soft chuckle, Klein rested his hands on her waist, "Elfaria’s real name was Aeloria,"
"We were childhood friends. She loved me."
"In the end, she chose to follow me into death. When I woke up in this world as Klein Faress, I didn’t expect to ever see her again. But fate brought her back too... as Elfaria."
"And..."
---
In the morning,
Soft light filtered into the wooden house of the Spirit Realm.
Klein lay on his back, still half-asleep with the sheets tangled loosely around his waist.
Orpheus was snuggled tightly against him with her head resting on his chest and her arm curled around his midsection.
Klein stirred slightly. In response, Orpheus made a small sound and pressed closer, nuzzling into his chest without opening her eyes
"...Don’t move yet," she murmured.
Klein’s hand rested on her back, moving in a slow, absent stroke along her spine.
"I’m not going anywhere immediately."
Orpheus finally opened her eyes a little, and her green irises were still hazy as she tilted her head just enough to look up at him.
"...Irakiel," she said softly. "I like that name, so I will call you that from now on, Husband."
She pushed herself up slightly on one elbow, and her hair fell forward as she looked down at him "I meant what I said before we slept. I need time to fully understand everything... Elfaria, your past life."
Klein raised a hand and brushed a strand of green hair behind her ear "Mhm."
Orpheus leaned down and pressed a slow kiss to his lips.
She settled back against his chest for a moment longer, clearly in no hurry to leave the warmth of the bed.
After a while, she spoke again, "...When Elfaria returns, I will have to talk to her... a lot."
Then, after another stretch of comfortable silence, she tilted her head up once more.
"Are you going back to the academy today?"
"I should."
She exhaled quietly, clearly not pleased at the idea of him leaving, but she didn’t argue.
Instead, she pushed herself up into a sitting position beside him, "Then eat something before you go. And don’t push your mana too hard. Your body is still adjusting to being half-spirit."
Klein sat up as well, "...Yes, wife."
Orpheus’s cheeks colored faintly at the word, and a smile touched her lips as she reached out and rested her hand against his cheek for a brief moment.
"Come back when you can. I’ll be here."
He shifted over her, guiding her back down onto the mattress.
Before she could say anything else, he leaned down and pressed his mouth to the soft valley between her breasts.
His lips trailed down the center of her chest, over the gentle curve of her stomach, and further still across her abdomen.
Orpheus looked down at him. "...Husband?"
His hands settled on her waist, holding her in place as he continued downward, kissing along the sensitive skin just above her hips.
"A little sex before leaving won’t hurt."
Orpheus let out a quiet, breathless laugh "You’re shameless, Husband... we only just woke up."
Klein lifted his gaze just enough to look up at her from between her breasts and stomach, "You called me husband. I’m acting like one."
He returned to her skin, kissing lower until his mouth brushed the soft skin of her lower abdomen.
Orpheus’s fingers curled into the sheets.
Her legs shifted slightly apart without conscious thought as the warmth of his breath and lips continued their downward path.
Klein kissed the inside of one hip, then the other, before finally settling between her thighs.
His hands slid under her legs, lifting them slightly as he pressed an open-mouthed kiss against her already warming folds.
"Haa..."
Orpheus’s head tipped back against the pillow.
One of her hands moved to his hair as he began to taste her pussy.
His tongue moved slowly at first, parting her wet folds before focusing more firmly on her clit.
Her thighs tensed around his head as he sucked gently.
One of his hands held her hip in place while the other stroked along her inner thigh, keeping her open for him.
"Haa... nnh... if you keep that up..."
Soft, broken moans slipped from her lips as the pleasure built steadily under his tongue.
He kissed his way back up her body over her abdomen, between her breasts, along her collarbone until he was hovering above her again.
Orpheus looked up at him with half-lidded, flushed eyes.
Klein leaned down and kissed her lips, "Still want me to leave without this?"
Orpheus wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer, "...Don’t you dare."
