Feng Luo originally thought that something big had happened for the little beggar to be in such a hurry, but upon hearing it was that annoying woman who bought a pack of medicine and sprained her old waist!

She glared at the visitor and scolded: "I thought it was something huge, but it turns out she just bought a pack of medicine? What’s the big deal? Look at you running all flustered!"

The little beggar looked innocent, "Miss Feng Luo, wasn’t it you who said to report to you if Lady Ye does anything unusual?"

"Buying a pack of medicine is unusual? Think a little!" Feng Luo was speechless with anger.

The little beggar still looked bewildered, scratching his head and said, "But she isn’t sick, isn’t it suspicious to buy medicine?"

Maybe the little beggar was trying to absolve himself, or perhaps he genuinely felt something was amiss, but to Feng Luo, it sounded different.

She fell silent, standing there pondering whilst stroking her chin.

"Hey, Miss Feng Luo, if you’ve got things to do, go do them, don’t block the sun for us to enjoy."

Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted, Feng Luo gave the speaker a speechless glance, then turned and left without a word.

She walked slowly, contemplating as she went.

The little beggar continued to follow her silently for a while; Feng Luo suddenly turned to him and said, "Go check, see what kind of medicine Ye Liang bought!"

"Can’t find out."

The little beggar pursed his lips; he seemed to catch a whiff of something fragrant and sniffed hard, "Smells nice."

Seeing this, Feng Luo gave him a slap on the head, "Look at you! Quickly say, why can’t you find out?"

The little beggar had found the source of the fragrance; not far away, a baozi stall had just finished steaming, the aroma of the steaming hot buns could be smelled from far away.

His eyes were fixed on them.

Seeing his pitiful look, Feng Luo sighed in resignation, came to the baozi stall and bought two meat buns for the little beggar, handed them to him, and said: "Quickly say why you can’t find out?"

The little beggar replied while chewing on the bun, "She went to the pharmacy under the Marquis Ye Mansion, we beggars can’t even get in!"

Feng Luo frowned, "The pharmacy under the Marquis Ye Mansion is the only one in Shuo State, and it’s located quite far; why would she go all that way just to buy medicine?"

The little beggar shook his head, "I don’t know. We wanted to investigate, but the pharmacy chased us out as beggars."

Feng Luo nodded slightly, "The Marquis Ye Mansion is a dog of Prince He Shuo Manor. The Beggar Gang and Prince He Shuo Manor are arch-enemies; if you go in, it would indeed be strange if they didn’t chase you out."

She thought for a moment, decided to check herself, "Alright then, go about your business, I’ll go back to the Old Mansion for a look."

"Okay then."

The little beggar happily walked away hugging the remaining meat bun.

...

Ye Liang returned to the Old Mansion’s courtyard with the medicine; during this time of day, when Little Shunzi was around, he’d typically be sunbathing in the yard next to Chu Ge, but today, as she walked in, there wasn’t a single soul.

Despite only a few days of getting accustomed, this sudden change made her momentarily uncomfortable, yet this discomfort only lasted briefly as she quickly reverted back to normal, walking in with an indifferent expression.

Just as she stepped into the yard, she suddenly heard the opening of a door; looking up, she saw Chu Ge step out from the room.

"Back already."

Chu Ge stated blandly.

Seeing Chu Ge, Ye Liang felt somewhat uneasy; she nodded, "Are you heading out?"

Chu Ge nodded, "Going out for a stroll, heard there’s a market on the Xishuo side today, going to join the fun."

"Oh."

Ye Liang replied and lowered her head.

Chu Ge glanced down, his eyes falling on the medicine pack in her hand, "Are you sick?"

Ye Liang instinctively tucked the medicine pack behind her, "No, I’m not sick."

"Then why the medicine...?" Chu Ge was puzzled; since she wasn’t sick, why buy a pack of medicine?

Ye Liang apparently had no intention to discuss further; she directly replied, "I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable, going back to the room to rest."

Watching her hurried figure leave, Chu Ge felt puzzled, wondering why Ye Liang seemed strange today.

Unable to figure it out, he decided not to dwell, carrying a folding fan and dressed elegantly in a green robe, looking suave and handsome.

He was very satisfied with his attire today, even his walking gait had a breezy flair.

Only, upon just stepping out of the yard, he collided with someone, hearing an "eyoh" and once recovered, he saw Feng Luo lying on the ground in a sorry state.

"Ouch! It hurts! Who is it! Walking without watching!" Feng Luo couldn’t help but curse.

Chu Ge initially wanted to help her up, but upon hearing her curse, he withdrew his outreached hand.

Before her eyes were a pair of men’s shoes, this size, she didn’t need to look to know whose they were.

She grumbled, getting up from the ground, brushing off the dust, "Chu Ge, are you rushing to reincarnate, walking in such a hurry!"

Chu Ge looked innocent, "Miss Feng Luo, words should be reasonable, which of us is rushing to reincarnate? You ran hurriedly into my yard, what’s up? Do you want to see me that badly?"

"Hmph!" Feng Luo snorted, "Who wants to see you! I’m here to find Lady Ye!"

"Oh?" Chu Ge raised an eyebrow, "You came to find Ye Liang? Well, this is odd."

Feng Luo scoffed, "Why? Lady Ye is sick, I came to check on her, that’s strange? She stays with the Beggar Gang; if the Marquis Ye Mansion accuses us of poor hospitality, that’s a charge we can’t bear."

"Is there really anything Miss Feng Luo cannot bear?" Chu Ge unabashedly mocked, "You even dared to stir the military recruitment event; I’m genuinely curious about what you wouldn’t dare."

She rolled her eyes at him, then bypassed Chu Ge and said, "I can’t be bothered to talk to you, I’m going to find Lady Ye!"

Chu Ge puzzlingly watched her, she directly headed towards Ye Liang’s room, murmuring to himself, "Did the sun rise from the west today?"

Feng Luo actually came to care about Ye Liang? However, earlier he asked Ye Liang if she was sick, and she denied it? Strange.

Chu Ge shook his head, finding women truly troublesome and strange!

Feng Luo arrived at Ye Liang’s room door, knocked, and shortly after heard Ye Liang’s voice from inside, "Coming."

She assumed the visitor was Chu Ge; she had been contemplating earlier about staying by Chu Ge’s side to ease relations for convenience later.

Just as she was feeling annoyed, she heard someone knocking, immediately thinking it was Chu Ge, but upon opening the door, she saw Feng Luo standing at the entrance.
