The Boys: Viltrumite Bloodline Panel

Chapter 110: Father-Son Duo Comes Knocking

I know it is my father’s first time on this Earth, too. And I know He had it worse when he was little. But I was little too.

"Those words were made up by you!"

Soldier Boy wore an infuriated expression. "Don’t think you can fool me by randomly combining words from the dictionary. I’m not some idiot produced by gentle parenting!"

Neither of the two was willing to acknowledge the other.

One felt that being the other’s old man was a terribly shameful thing.

The other felt that being the other’s son was worse than acknowledging The Guardian as a father.

Clearly bound by blood, these two fellows couldn’t stand each other from the very bones.

Seeing that this newly reunited father and son were about to come to blows again...

"Enough."

A deep voice came from the doorway.

Edgar looked at the smashed conference room and this chaotic father and son, rubbing his brow wearily.

Who could tell him what on earth had happened?

Why would Soldier Boy start a fight with Homelander?

Could it be that Homelander served hot drinks to Soldier Boy too?

Stormfront concisely summarized what had transpired.

"I don’t care if you are father and son, and I don’t care what stale old scores you have between you, get the hell out of here."

"Edgar, you..." Homelander wanted to say something more.

"This building now belongs to The Guardian," Edgar interrupted him mercilessly. "If you keep fighting here and smash the building down, watch out for being tossed into the Sun together by him."

The three words ’The Guardian’ being spoken were practically like a basin of cold water.

Homelander’s brimming anger instantly extinguished by more than half.

He subconsciously raised his head, using his X-ray vision to pierce through the ceiling and look straight upstairs.

Then he saw Hillel. That guy was sitting with his legs crossed, holding a bucket of popcorn, and watching this side with keen interest using his own X-ray vision.

People down here were beating the shit out of each other.

You actually still have the mood to eat popcorn!

What the fuck!

Homelander instantly turned red-hot with fury. He smashed through several layers of floorboards and rushed straight in front of Hillel.

"Guardian! Are you targeting me?"

Hillel stuffed a handful of popcorn into his mouth and said slowly, "Nope."

"You are! You definitely are!" Homelander practically roared. "You brought Soldier Boy back, you knew long ago that he was my father, didn’t you? You’re just taking revenge on me!"

"Hey, John," Hillel shook his head.

"Your finger is about to poke into my eyes. Can you act like an adult and calm down? This father-son relationship between you two, I only just found out about it too."

"You fought like it was a vendetta for killing a father, I didn’t expect that either!"

"Besides, do you even care about these things?"

"It’s different!"

Homelander stiffened his neck. "If he really is my father, we should have had a better way of meeting, rather than attacking each other the very moment we met like at the beginning!"

Hillel looked at his aggrieved look and almost couldn’t hold it together.

"Oh, give it a rest."

"John, no matter how wonderful your beginning was, no matter how filial the father and loving the son, it wouldn’t take two and a half minutes before you ruined it with your own hands."

"The problem lies with you, what does it have to do with Soldier Boy? Back when he joined The Seven, you were the one jumping around the most joyfully!"

Homelander was choked up and speechless.

"Ayo-yo, you were fighting to the death just a moment ago, why are you about to shed little pearls again now? You wouldn’t actually want Soldier Boy to acknowledge you as his son, would you!"

"Who cares..." Homelander subconsciously turned his head away.

Homelander’s entire body was soft except for his mouth, which remained stubbornly tough.

"What the hell are you pretending for!" Hillel wore a look of disdain. "I advise you to live like a real man! Soldier Boy likes tough guys the most. The son he wants is a pillar of society, a man whose word is law!"

"Instead of a bouncing wimp. The more you act like this, the more he will look down on you."

Homelander’s expression changed over and over again.

Hillel couldn’t be bothered to look at his conflicted appearance anymore and waved his hand. "Alright, everything that needed to be said has been said! Also, don’t come questioning me about everything in the future!!"

"I never need to explain myself to you. Whoever you want to flash your ass to, suit yourself!"

"Just don’t aim it at me, I don’t have the interest to help you maintain it!"

The show was over.

Hillel flew away in satisfaction.

Like an Ultraman who had just finished fighting a monster.

Homelander froze in place, slowly turning his head to look at Jordan and Cate Dunlap in the room.

The two girls were sitting upright on the sofa, staring unblinkingly at the television where a yellow sponge was talking with Patrick Star.

Patrick Star: "Friend, it seems we have already drifted apart!"

SpongeBob SquarePants: "What do you mean?"

Patrick Star: "We were so happy together in the past, but now, we are incompatible! We should part ways, that is life, life!!"

...

The lines on the screen silenced Homelander. "Fuck!!"

He cursed softly, turned around with pigeon-toed squats, and just as he was about to take off, he suddenly thought of something and slapped his own butt.

Forcefully correcting his pigeon-toed posture back.

Cate Dunlap was already having trouble holding it together looking at Patrick Star, and as a result, she heard Homelander slapping his butt beside her.

Slap!

The faces of the two women turned the color of a pig’s liver from holding back their laughter.

...

Nightfall.

Central City Apartment.

Hillel had just finished taking a shower and changed into a bathrobe when the doorbell rang.

Soldier Boy, wearing a leather jacket, was standing right outside the door.

"Come in." Hillel stepped aside.

Soldier Boy cut straight to the chase: "You knew it long ago, right? Knew that me and that blond wimp are father and son."

"Mhm." Hillel didn’t hide it at all.

Telling a couple of casual lies to Homelander and then flying away coolly left the other guy with nothing he could do.

But there was no need to pretend with Soldier Boy.

Soldier Boy said simply: "So you brought me back wanting to use me to deal with Homelander?"

Hillel shook his head. "I have zero interest in that kind of crap. Whether you two are a loving father and filial son or murdering each other, what does it have to do with me? I’m purely here to watch the fun!"

He drifted back into the living room.

Soldier Boy followed him in.

In the living room, two very young girls were curled up on the sofa chatting and laughing.

He happened to know both of them.

These two people were both members of The Seven, but unfortunately they were both too young for him, so he wasn’t interested.

Soldier Boy raised an eyebrow, looking at Hillel with quite a bit of surprise.

"Kid, your taste is not bad."

Hillel wore a matter-of-fact look. "The aesthetic over on our side has always been at this standard; it has to be a show-grade woman. It’s a pity your aesthetics here have seriously downgraded."

Soldier Boy wasn’t annoyed either, walking straight over to the living room’s wine cabinet and glancing at the expensive imported liquor.

"Whoa, you’ve got quite a lot of good stuff here."

"Those were all gifts from other people."

Hillel sat down on the sofa. "I never drink alcohol, I only drink cola."

Hillel picked up a can of iced Dr Pepper.

"Your favorite iced one."

Hillel’s words carried a hidden meaning.

"Fuck you!" Soldier Boy raised a middle finger with a look of exasperation mixed with disappointment. "A real man has to smoke, drink, and chase chicks, otherwise wouldn’t he have lived in vain? What’s the point of drinking that stuff!"

"It’s not like I threw a tantrum at people because of hot cola. What old bird is a little boy pretending to be?"
