If you want to kill somebody, conquer his heart; then leave slowly and leave them between death and madness.

After extending those veterans’ lives, Edgar called over again.
"The Guardian, I have someone here I’d like to introduce to you." The old fox was as calm as ever.
Hillel leaned lazily against his chair. "Who is it, having such a big presence, and which little boss is it this time?"
Not long after, Edgar personally brought someone to visit.
That was a remarkably young-looking woman, with an appearance somewhat resembling Arabic descent, and a capable, calm temperament.
Newman?
Newman’s daughter should be several years old already, right? To think that as a mother she could still maintain herself looking this youthful and retaining her charm, this is quite interesting!
Hillel took a few extra glances.
"The Guardian, this is Newman, currently working in Congress!"
"Not bad." Hillel raised an eyebrow. "A member of Congress is actually a hidden Supe!"
The woman’s figure stiffened slightly, a flash of astonishment darting through her eyes.
Her identity was hidden extremely deeply. Aside from Edgar and the child’s biological father, no one else knew. Could it be that Edgar had told the Guardian about her identity?
"The Guardian’s abilities are even more powerful than Homelander’s, so it’s no surprise that he can see through your true nature!"
Edgar, having seen a thing or two of the World, specially explained.
Newman understood.
"Mr. Guardian, Congresswoman Newman is a very important ally of ours all along. This time, she even managed to advance further thanks to the Little St. James Island incident, and this is all thanks to you!"
Newman nodded politely toward Hillel. "Hello, Mr Guardian, I am Newman!"
"Mm."
Hillel responded indifferently. "What is your superpower? Use it on me, let me test the waters!"
Huh?
Newman was stunned, a trace of hesitation flashing across her face.
She subconsciously looked toward Edgar.
Her ability was no mere parlor trick; it was capable of easily exploding other people’s heads, and even Supes were no exception.
But Edgar nodded. "Whatever the Guardian asks you to do, just try your best to satisfy him. He is the most powerful Supe on the surface of the earth, bar none!"
Getting these words, Newman finally settled her mind a little.
She took a deep breath, locked her gaze onto Hillel, and her eyes suddenly rolled back.
Under normal circumstances, the opponent’s head should have exploded directly like a ripe watermelon.
But Hillel didn’t even twitch an eyebrow.
He looked around for a long time, then looked at Newman with a puzzled expression.
"What’s wrong? Constipated? Use your ability."
Newman: "???"
Newman continued to increase her power output, the strength within her body venting frantically, exerting force toward Hillel’s head.
I fucking used all my strength!!
But no matter how she pulled out all the stops, Hillel’s expression didn’t show even a trace of abnormality.
"How is it possible? Why can’t my ability affect even a single red blood cell of yours?" Newman looked astonished.
That feeling was like hitting a giant mountain with full force.
Having exerted too much force, Newman herself couldn’t hold on first, and two streaks of blood gushed from her nasal passages.
This... is this still a human?
Hillel withdrew his gaze, too lazy to look at her again. Newman’s ability probably couldn’t even affect those four women by his side.
"Alright, enough nonsense."
Hillel put his big feet on the table. "Edgar, what on earth do you want to do by introducing this young lady? I don’t like guessing other people’s thoughts!"
Edgar didn’t beat around the bush either.
"Congresswoman Newman is a rising star in Congress! She wants to go further and needs your support, The Guardian."
"Support?"
Hillel raised an eyebrow. "That’s not difficult, but why should I help her?"
Edgar was momentarily at a loss for words. "F-For my.."
"For the sake of your reputation?"
Hillel shook his head. "Edgar, I’ve given you enough face! Who is it that propped Vought up to the height it is today? Shine my shoes!!"
To Newman’s astonishment, Edgar actually bent down and shined Hillel’s shoes.
It’s not shameful, child!
The old-timer behaved even more excessively than me!
"Asking me to do something, you at least have to offer some benefits."
Hillel took a sip of cola. "I may not care about any benefits, after all, I lack nothing nowadays, but you guys can’t be clueless; you have to show some attitude at least!"
Edgar’s expression stiffened.
The old-timer doesn’t care about hundreds of billions of dollars, what chips can I possibly give?
"The Guardian, you currently lack neither money, nor women, nor power. How I should express myself, you can give a hint."
Hillel glanced at Newman.
This woman understood the times better than Edgar.
Whoever could protect her, she would side with them—a character who naturally flip-flopped back and forth in the original series.
This kind of person is simply not easy to bribe.
She isn’t even as loyal as Ashley!
As for what he wanted...
Hillel couldn’t really say for a moment.
He lacked nothing.
"Mr. Guardian, I might be able to help you do one thing." Newman stood up.
This woman quickly tossed out her price tag. "I can establish an administrative agency for you, specifically used to serve your various actions, such as fighting crime."
"This agency can provide legal endorsement for all your actions."
Hillel took another look at her.
Not bad, has some brains!
Unfortunately, his own actions were even more lavish. As long as Ashley successfully rose to power, whatever Hillel wanted to do would have the President personally endorse it, making everything reasonable and legitimate.
You mere congresswoman, what rank are you!
Would I need you?
However, since Edgar and his companion took the initiative to come and offer a pledge of allegiance, there was no need to slap them in the face.
"Your agency is too petty and small-scale; I have no use for it. But today, let’s just consider it getting acquainted, and I don’t mind doing Edgar a favor!" Hillel said indifferently.
"But remember, when I need to use you one day, you must know how to act sensibly, understand?"
Newman immediately nodded solemnly.
"Rest assured, Mr. Guardian, Newman is at your beck and call at any time."
Only then did Hillel look back at Edgar. "How is it?"
"I owe you a big favor." Edgar said sincerely.
"Heh."
Hillel said with disdain. "Edgar, you owe me way too many favors; get ready to pay them back with your hooks!"
...
Hillel had been idle for a few days.
For so many years, he had been a bit over-diligent and really couldn’t sit still.
Thus, Hillel remembered the weapon forging module given by the system.
He grew more and more curious about what kind of World those few transmigration opportunities would eventually bring him to.
Might as well go collect some materials.
Then let’s sleep.
Just as Hillel was preparing to go find the two women for a big battle, he sensed a faint, elusive mental fluctuation in the air.
"Annie and I are going to rush our schedules, let’s save tonight’s event for later, we’ll talk about it later!"
Maeve and Annie seemed to suddenly remember something.
The two women immediately put on their clothes and dashed out hurriedly.
Yo-ho!
Little Cate was trying to rebel against fate itself, huh!!
