Gwendolyn’s POV
[The lovebirds are to be wed in an intimate ceremony with only loved ones in attendance. The ceremony which will be held on...] Unable to read anymore, Gwendolyn tossed her phone to the side. She had done so good, switching off her phone and not looking up anything to do with Ryan Terrell and that fat pig Vivian Rose, but then Paula had gone and ruined it.
Now Gwendolyn was stuck in her own personal hell, unable to stop searching for things that had to do with the pair. Now she had just learned something truly horrible, ...a private affair.
What sort of wedding was that?!
Had he been marrying her, she would have made sure that everybody who was everyone was invited. The world would have come to see her beauty... and their union of course. But instead, Ryan was having a wedding that would barely have anybody present.
What an insult to the elite.
To make it even more horrifying, the fact that it was a private affair would really make it obvious that Ryan did not hold her in high regard because Gwendolyn knew she would not be getting an invite.
She would not even be able to show up as anybody’s plus one and surprise him. The man had cast her aside to the point that he did not even think she deserved to see him getting married to an ugly woman.

Ryan wanted to spend the rest of his life with that preschool teacher Vivian Rose. It had taken a lot of effort and a lot of property damage for Gwendolyn to even begin to come to terms with that.
But what she could not come to terms with was the way in which Ryan was so publicly discarding her.
He could have at least done the toxic ex thing and sent her an invite hoping that she saw it and destroyed it, overcome by grief. Had she received an invite and gone for that option, Gwendolyn would have been sure to post the burning invite so that the world saw how little she cared.
Or maybe she would have taken the invite and actually attended. She would have shown up looking way better than the bride so that Ryan and all of the other attendees of the wedding would know that the man had made a mistake in choosing someone else.
Doing that would have been her way of showing him that she was done with him.
But Ryan had not given her that choice. Wherever he was, he probably was not even thinking of her, and that hurt. It truly did. After all the hurt she had caused him he was just going to move on?
Any other woman in her position would have been a mess. They would be crying their eyes out and doing other awful things like stuffing their face with ice cream and eating all manner of carbs. Just ruining their looks over a man.
But Gwendolyn was made of tougher stuff. She was not the kind of woman to just let herself go all because a man who had once been enthralled by her beauty and had worshipped the ground she walked on had now forgotten all about her.
No, she was not going to cry. What she was going to do was take matters into her own hands.
So what if she was not invited to the wedding? She had always wanted to be a wedding crasher. One way or the other, she was going to show up and she would make sure that Ryan did not forget about her this time.
***
The most important thing when it came to ruining other people’s big days was timing.
If Gwendolyn showed up before the wedding, then there was a chance that Ryan would have her thrown off the island where it was being held.
Vivian’s Rose, really?
All he’d ever gotten her that was of substance had been a fur coat that she’d had to twist his arm to get. But he had gone and named an entire island after that skank. Doing her breathing exercises to stop from wrinkling her skin in a scowl. Gwendolyn forced herself to focus again.
The point was that if she arrived before the wedding, she would most likely risk being kicked off the island by security and have the whole thing continue without the couple’s mood being ruined. She could not have that.
If she showed up mid-wedding that also would not have the same impact that she was looking for. Again, she could just simply be kicked off, and the ceremony would carry on.
The only thing she could think to do would be to show up after the two of them were married.
Ruining their happiest time would give her the greatest pleasure.
It stung, the fact that the next time she laid eyes upon Ryan, he would be a married man. But Gwendolyn realized that that would really be the best time.
Someone had leaked the wedding itinerary online. She knew that it was the real deal because it had the crest of the Terrell family on it, studying it. She looked at the plans for the day and her eyes fixed on the very last thing on the list.
She had done everything to keep him close, and yet Ryan had tossed her aside like she was nothing. Even now she had left the country and he had not chased her down. He had brought what she was going to do to him upon himself.
No one forgot Gwendolyn Stuart the fourth. She was far too beautiful for that. And once she carried out her plan, Ryan would not be forgetting her.
He would curse her name, but he would always remember her. Watching as the last of her bags were carried below deck, Gwendolyn boarded her recently purchased yacht. They set sail soon after, the destination...Vivian’s Rose. She was off to break Ryan’s heart for good.
