In that exact moment, Gavriel’s darkness engulfed them both, shifting them until her back hit the mattress of their bed.

He pulled back just enough to drive into her a few more times, a deep growl tearing from his throat as he filled her to the absolute brim. Before she could even catch her breath, his fangs elongated and sank deep into her neck. Her intoxicating blood pooled into his mouth as he fed, letting his dark energy pour directly into her body.

Aliana’s frame went completely rigid as she climaxed for the fourth time, feeling the sharp bite at her neck. A scream tore from her lips while Gavriel tightened his arms around her, crushing her beneath his weight.

Then, something shifted inside her.

Her body began to glow a fiery red, and a sharp ache throbbed in her gums as her own fangs pushed through.

Purely on instinct, her gaze locked onto the single pulse point exposed to her while Gavriel remained buried in her neck. Only one thought consumed her mind... she wanted to taste him as well. Leaning in, she sank her fangs deep into his neck as well.

A deep rumble erupted from his chest at her action. The second his rich, metallic blood hit her tongue, her eyes shut in absolute bliss, feeling her own energy beginning to circulate, flowing smoothly from her body into his.

It happened so seamlessly, calming their volatile powers down effortlessly, as if it was meant to be.

A profound sense of power and stillness washed over them both. Clinging tight, they felt the chaotic storm in their hearts melt away into complete harmony.

Once the volatile energy eased, they both withdrew their fangs.

Aliana kissed his neck lovingly before Gavriel lifted his head to gaze at her with pure reverence. His pitch-black eyes locked with hers, which looked back at him with a dazed, absolute devotion.

With both of their lips painted crimson, Aliana gently cupped his cheeks, pulling him down into a slow, deep kiss that quickly spiralled into another battle for dominance.

Gavriel savoured every inch of her soft body he had craved for so long. He lifted her into his lap facing him, all while remaining buried deep inside her.

What they experienced was beyond anything either of them could put into words, yet their desire for one another remained unsated.

The night was still young, and the full moon cast its silver light across the estate.

Soon, the couple surrendered to another wave of pleasure, pouring out all their raw longing.

Over and over, they reached earth-shattering orgasms in every position imaginable, as though intense passion had become their only true language. They lost count of how many times they found heaven in each other’s arms, but neither slowed down.

Not once did either of them show signs of stopping, their moans echoing through the quiet mansion until the first golden rays of dawn finally announced the morning.

Aliana finally sank back into the pillows, her skin flushed crimson and damp with sweat as her chest heaved. She shut her eyes for a brief moment, letting the wave of exhaustion wash over her as the euphoric frenzy of the full moon slowly receded, leaving her body humming with deep contentment.

Gavriel gathered her tight against his chest, refusing to pull out or break their closeness. With his eyes still closed, he peppered gentle kisses along her bruised neck, lingering right over the puncture marks his fangs had left behind.

When a tiny hiss slipped past her lips from the sensitive sting, he asked in a low, velvet rasp, "Does it hurt?"

Aliana opened her eyes, which had finally bled back to their natural light grey. "A little," she murmured softly.

A blush warmed her cheeks when his tongue glided soothingly over the sensitive skin, drawing a sharp, shuddering breath from her lungs. A faint, wispy thread of his power coiled gently over the wound, and almost instantly, the sharp ache melted away.

Curious, she turned her head to check, frowning when she realised the marks were still visible rather than fully erased.

Looking back up, her eyes locked with his, which had reverted to their striking icy blue.

Noticing the silent confusion in her expression, Gavriel asked, "What is it?"

"I know you have the power to heal it completely... why didn’t you?" Aliana asked softly.

She watched his eyes linger over her face before his gaze slowly glided downward. "Because I like seeing my marks on you."

A slight frown creased her forehead as she followed his gaze, and a gasp escaped her lips when she saw her body blooming with marks, from dark red hickeys to the clear imprints of his hands wherever he had touched her.

She snapped her head around to look over her shoulder, heat rushing to her face as she whispered, "This is... insane."

Gavriel hummed lazily, completely unconcerned.

Drawing her closer into his chest, he nuzzled his face into the crook of her neck. "What’s truly insane is that you are still here... alive and breathing in my arms."

Aliana’s heart skipped a beat.

The warnings he had given her at night echoed at the back of her exhausted mind, and she couldn’t help but sink further into his warmth as she asked quietly, "How..."

In response, Gavriel snapped his fingers. Right before her eyes, every curtain in the room drew shut, the door locked on its own, and the blanket rose to cover them.

"I don’t know, Ana," he whispered close to her ear, his arms tightening around her. "It’s a miracle and..."

"And?" Aliana whispered into the dark.

"And it only proves that you were only ever meant for me." Gavriel pressed another kiss below her ear, sending a wave of heat low in her belly. It was astonishing to her that after spending the entire night together like animals in heat, her body was still wanting more.

With her inner walls fluttering around him, she felt him stir before he rasped, "Want to go another round?"

"What?" she squeaked. "No! And p-pull it out." She felt him swell inside her once again.

"I don’t want to. Now sleep, baby... unless you want to continue." His voice was pure velvet temptation that awakened a shameless heat inside her.

"Of course not," Aliana answered quickly. But even as she said it, she knew deep down that if he made a move, she wouldn’t have the willpower to deny him.

’God, I am really hopeless, aren’t I?’ she thought in disbelief, closing her eyes.

As if sensing her internal chaos, he added something that made it worse. "You know I can feel your emotions."

Horrified, her eyes snapped open, and she turned to look at him. "What?! You can?"

"Hm..." His fingers traced lazy patterns down her stomach, slipping lower until she caught his wrist. "Gav!"

"I sensed my wife wanted more," he replied playfully.

Aliana quickly retorted, "Y-you sensed wrong."

A soft, quiet chuckle escaped his lips, sending a swarm of butterflies fluttering in her stomach.

How much she loved the sound of his carefree laughter, wishing only to hear more of it, especially after everything she had witnessed. She knew they had a lot to talk about, but right now she was happy... happy to be with him now that the storm had passed.

Gavriel pulled her tight against his heart and kissed her temple. "Sleep, Ana. We’ll talk about everything when you wake up."

Surprised by his words, she wondered if he could read minds too. That would be even scarier than sensing emotions, she thought.

Her eyelids grew heavy as her body relaxed completely against his. Right before slipping into sleep, she murmured, "Gav?"

"Hm?"

"You’ll be here when I wake up, right?" she asked quietly, remembering all the times she had woken up to find him gone.

"I’m not going anywhere," he reassured her, interlacing his fingers with hers. "When you wake up, I’ll be right here."

A soft smile bloomed on her face as she whispered, "Thank you..." before finally drifting off into sleep.
