The tower was done, and it was glorious. From the outside, the black bricks stretched as tall as the castle’s keep, and housed tens of beautifully framed windows. But the true beauty was in what regular people couldn’t see: a powerful surge of mana that was sucked directly from the ground and carried all the way to the tower’s peak, and was then sprinkled over the entire capital.
The wizards inside the city could suddenly cast first-tier spells like zero-tier spells without needing to use their own mana, and the air itself felt richer as the concentration of mana rose sharply to match the concentration seen only in the deepest and most secluded of sacred groves.
It was still locked for the public and won’t be opened until a few weeks later when it’s fully furnished, but at least for now, Merlin’s lab inside was fully functional. She had over a hundred layers. Each was hundreds of kilometres wide and locked with a boss room. If anyone wanted to reach her private lab on the 100th floor, they had to clear everything from the bottom up, and that was easier said than done.
Of course, Merlin herself, Arad, and all of those of the Private Quarter were given special permissions to allow them to directly teleport to Merlin’s private lab, and she even linked it directly to the Private Quarter.
Of course, since this was a labyrinth, Merlin easily filled it with small villages and even cities that had people living in them. Those people might be illusory and mere creatures conjured up from Merlin’s magic like Ombre and Neige, but if any of them became impressive enough, she could bring them out. Once again, like Ombre and Neige.
Every floor from 0 to 99 got progressively more and more dangerous, all of them filled with horrors born from Merlin’s own nightmares and fears. Some of them were so nightmarish that they gave Nyar’s abominations a run for their money, and Arad was honestly scared as he realised that, in fact, some were abominations created by Merlin’s magic.
For example, the guardian of the 10th floor was a large, fat, ten-meter-tall orc in power armor and accompanied by ten soldiers as minions. The catch was that killing the fat orc would cause his stomach to burst and hundreds of goblins to rush out from his guts. There was also a secret way to bypass him, and it was to bring enough food to the boss and his minions.
Merlin was proud of that boss, as he allowed both powerful wizards and the ones who specialise in less offensive schools to pass if they were smart enough. She even made the boss’s Warcry be him shouting, "I AM REALLY HUNGRY!"
Then she even allowed Arad to make the boss on the 50th level, which really allowed Arad to play God for a bit. What he made even Merlin shiver. It was a dark void mist that clogged the entire boss room, and when the challenger or challengers walked in, the mist turned into their perfect copies and attacked. To surpass Arad’s boss, everyone had to surpass their limits first.
Of course, there were usually swarms of cannibalistic spiders, worms that burrow under the skin to lay eggs, eye-biting wasps, and even a rotten zombie dragon. So, the labyrinth wasn’t just a larger tower for Merlin to test her magic, but a full-blown ecosystem.
Back at the highest floor, Merlin was inside a hundred-floor tower, looking down at the endless green hills that would soon be her private spell range. "It is beautiful, isn’t it?" She asked as Arad stood right there beside her.
He looked down as well and smiled. "It is... but not as beautiful as you are." He leaned on her shoulder, and she giggled.
"Calling this old hag..." She pushed his hand aside as she twirled her hair. "Beautiful... is an obvious lie." She looked at him with a smile as she leaned on the balcony. "Beautiful is an overused word. I would much rather pretty."
Arad smiled. "Feeling like complaining?" He reached toward her and touched her hair. "Gorgeous, stunning, exquisite, breathtaking, elegant, and magnificent. None is enough to explain your beauty, so they’ll all fall short."
Betty appeared sitting on Arad’s shoulder. "She is best described as a voluptuous, lascivious witch. The pale skin, white hair, glowing purplish-pink eyes, the curves, the smell, and that hungry blush..." She smiled and gave Arad a wink. "You probably need to run away."
Merlin giggled. "As expected of someone as old as you are, you know a lot of words." She reached toward Betty and touched her legs. "I wanted some alone time with Arad... What brought you here? I know you ran past all of the bosses without them even noticing you."
"This final layer is protected by your magic and Arad’s space control. Can I use it as a training zone?" She jumped from Arad’s shoulder and landed on Merlin’s shoulders. "I promise that I won’t blow anything. I’ll just jog around the whole layer. I want to test my limits in speed, and this is the only safe space I can do it in."
"Fine, just be careful." As Merlin sighed, Betty thanked her, kissed the back of her head, and then disappeared as quickly as she had appeared. At that moment, she had already run several laps around the entire layer and was trying to move even faster.
Arad approached Merlin, grabbed her by the waist, and lifted her up. She was surprised for a second, but then smiled. "Oh, my. Who’s going to play this time?" She reached up and kissed him. Their lips didn’t part for a whole minute, but when they did, Arad gave her a gentle smile. "You pick. I’m fine with anything."
She wrapped her arms around his neck. "Well, how about we both have our fun? We won’t run out of time here. I’ll have my way first, and then you have yours." She looked at his face for a long second, and then smirked. "What are you doing in the bath?"
Arad took her to the bed that she had already prepared in advance and threw her on it. "That doesn’t matter here." He laid by her side, and she quickly pushed him aside and jumped on top of him.
With a single flick of her fingers, both of their clothes disappeared, and she jumped to sit on his face. Her large peach covered his entire head and had more size to spare, yet she didn’t fear suffocating him; he could handle far more than this, and she immediately got what she wanted. His long and forked pricolici tongue already slipped as deep as her womb, and that sudden stimulation caused her to immediately squirt down his throat. "AH! That’s it... keep going, don’t stop." She moaned, pushing her rear to his face even harder as she wrapped her feet around his flesh and summoned both Ombre and Neige.
The two didn’t need to hear any order and immediately went down to fight over who got to suck Arad’s flesh and Merlin’s feet. Even though the two would rather have nothing to do with the last part, they both wanted one thing, and it was to give Merlin’s enough pleasure to exhaust her and leave Arad for them to grab.
"Lady Merlin, can we go after you?" Ombre asked, and Merlin shoved her toes in her mouth. "If I feel bad for you enough, then I’ll let you have him. This is my day, and I want to lose my mind here." But then, Merlin smiled. "But... since we have all the time here, I’ll make this an exception."
Neige, who had just taken Arad’s entire flesh down her throat, pulled it out and gave the witch a strange look. "You’re never honest, are you?" Ombre immediately shoved Arad’s flesh down her throat as Neige took on Merlin’s toes. "You’re a sadistic monster who loves seeing others beg. You’re not even an elf and still love having us suck your toes."
Merlin giggled. "It’s not just that; anything and everything tickles my succubus bones." She slapped her with her foot. "You’re not serving a human, an elf, or even a living being. You’re serving me, the Abominable Chimera witch."
Arad, who was beneath Merlin, lifted her butt a bit to speak. "Her feet taste like those of the elves, and the same is true of her arms." Arad smiled. "Merlin, you grafted those in the past, didn’t you?"
Merlin looked away with an embarrassed face. She indeed had elvish hands and feet and had replaced them twenty years ago. At the time, she had to amputate all of her limbs that had almost rotted away, and elvish limbs were the most sensitive and the best suited for magic. That explained why she was so sensitive in them.
Hearing that, both Ombre and Neige left Arad’s flesh and attacked Merlin’s feet to tire her out and get him for themselves, a tactic which seemed to be extremely effective.
Merlin was known to take a lot of time with Arad in bed, but this time, she was going to spend even longer.
But outside, away from the boiling love nest, Betty was running circles around the entire layer and had just started to use [Time Slow] to accelerate beyond the speed of light. She should already be the fastest in the universe, and if not, then one of the fastest beings there. She knew that was already a horrifying feat, but still wanted to go faster and faster.
Next time Nyar shows up, she wants to be fast enough to rip him apart cell by cell before he can even react. Merlin had already broken through her limits, so Betty wanted to do the same.
With her torso steady, her legs racing in circles and her head bopping up and down as she moved faster than light, she tried to use space magic to go even faster and then jumped outside reality.
"I want to be faster than light, faster than time, and faster than space. I want to beat reality itself." She knew that Nyar was something that could destroy the reality that she knew, and so, to be able to face him, she thought it was necessary to match his insane power. No one knew it yet, but Betty also carried Asgorath’s factor like Kossuth, and hers was the Light bloodline.
