The Eclipsed Order

Chapter 186 - 187: Celeste’s Frozen Massacre

Chapter 186: Chapter 187: Celeste’s Frozen Massacre

"Celeste."

Andrea glanced toward her.

"Leave that old woman to me."

Her smile widened slightly.

"Kill everyone inside the laboratory."

Celeste looked toward Number Five.

For a moment, neither woman spoke.

Then Celeste smiled.

"Understood."

She raised both hands.

The temperature dropped Instantly.

A thin layer of frost spread across the ground beneath her feet, racing outward like a living wave. The stone walls surrounding the cave entrance began freezing over, followed by the ceiling and every exposed section of the laboratory beyond it.

The researchers inside barely had time to notice.

Frost climbed across the walls.

The floor disappeared beneath thick layers of white ice.

Metal doors froze shut.

The cave entrance itself became sealed beneath an enormous wall of translucent ice.

Celeste lowered her hands.

"This should be enough."

Number Five’s expression changed.

She looked toward the frozen walls.

Then she extended one hand.

The sword attached to her arm swung toward the nearest layer of ice.

BOOOOOOM!

The impact sent a violent shockwave through the laboratory.

Cracks appeared across the surface.

But the ice didn’t break.

Number Five frowned.

She struck again.

CRAAAAASH!

More cracks appeared.

Still, the ice remained.

Her expression finally hardened.

"What is this?"

Andrea stood several meters away, watching her with a faint smile.

"It’s pointless."

Number Five turned toward her.

Andrea casually brushed a strand of hair away from her face.

"That’s one of the highest levels of frost you know?"

Her smile became slightly wider.

"Even someone like me will have a hard time breaking it, meaning you won’t be able to break through it."

Number Five stared at her.

Then she glanced toward the laboratory.

The thick ice had completely isolated the interior.

Her crimson eyes narrowed.

Number Five’s expression darkened.

"Then I’ll kill you before you can cause any more trouble."

A sword suddenly formed in Andrea’s hand.

It emerged from a dark distortion beside her palm, the blade appearing almost completely black while faint crimson light traced along its edge.

Andrea raised it.

Her smile disappeared.

"Come."

Number Five vanished.

The distance between them disappeared in an instant.

CLANG!

Their swords collided.

The impact shattered the ground beneath their feet.

Neither moved backward.

The two blades remained locked for a brief moment before Number Five suddenly twisted her weapon and forced Andrea’s sword aside.

Andrea immediately stepped with the movement.

The crimson blade passed beside her.

She rotated her body.

Her sword came around.

SHING!

Number Five leaned backward.

The blade passed within a few centimeters of her throat.

She retaliated immediately.

Her living sword extended.

The blade suddenly became twice its original length.

Andrea’s eyes narrowed.

She jumped backward.

The sword tore through the space where her body had been.

SHRAK!

A deep cut appeared across the frozen ground.

Andrea landed.

Number Five was already there.

A second slash.

Andrea blocked.

CLANG!

A third.

CLANG!

A fourth.

CLANG!

The two women moved so quickly that the sounds of their swords became almost continuous.

Number Five attacked from above.

Andrea caught the blade.

The impact drove her several meters downward.

The frozen ground beneath her cracked.

Andrea twisted her wrist.

She redirected the sword.

Number Five’s body spun with the momentum.

Andrea followed.

Her sword flashed toward Number Five’s back.

Number Five turned at the last instant.

CLANG!

Their swords collided again.

A shockwave exploded between them.

Both were thrown backward.

Neither stopped.

They disappeared.

Then reappeared high above the laboratory.

Number Five attacked first.

Andrea blocked.

CLANG!

The impact sent them higher.

Number Five swung again.

Andrea tilted her body.

The blade passed beneath her.

She rotated in midair.

Her sword descended.

Number Five raised her living blade.

CLANG!

The collision produced another explosion.

The two separated.

For a fraction of a second, they remained suspended above the frozen laboratory.

Then both moved again.

Faster.

Much faster.

Their figures became streaks across the sky.

CLANG!

Their swords collided.

They disappeared.

SHING!

Andrea’s blade grazed Number Five’s shoulder.

Number Five vanished.

She appeared behind Andrea.

The living sword extended toward her back.

Andrea turned.

Too late.

SHRAK!

The blade cut across her side.

Blood scattered through the air.

Andrea’s eyes narrowed.

She touched the wound.

Then smiled.

"That actually hurt."

Number Five didn’t answer.

She attacked again.

Andrea raised her sword.

CLANG!

The two blades locked.

Number Five pushed forward.

Andrea’s feet slid through the air.

The older woman’s expression became increasingly fierce.

"You’ve got some nerve."

Andrea smiled.

Number Five suddenly drove her knee forward.

Andrea twisted away.

The knee passed beside her abdomen.

Andrea retaliated with an elbow.

Number Five blocked with her free arm.

THUD!

The impact sent both of them apart.

They immediately accelerated again.

The sky above the laboratory became their battlefield.

Their speed had already surpassed the speed of sound.

Every time they crossed paths, the resulting sonic boom shook the surrounding forest.

BOOOOOOM!

Trees bent beneath the pressure.

The frozen laboratory trembled.

The clouds above them were torn apart by their movements.

Yet neither showed any intention of slowing down.

Number Five’s sword changed again.

The blade separated into several smaller extensions.

They moved independently.

Andrea’s eyes sharpened.

"Interesting."

Five blades attacked from different directions.

Andrea turned.

One.

Two.

Three.

Four.

She deflected them.

The fifth came from behind.

Andrea twisted her body.

The blade passed across her back.

She immediately kicked Number Five away.

BOOM!

Number Five flew backward.

Andrea followed.

The two collided again.

CLANG!

Number Five’s living sword returned to its original form.

She thrust.

Andrea moved her head.

The blade passed beside her face.

Andrea’s sword flashed upward.

SHING!

Number Five’s cheek opened.

A thin line of blood appeared.

She touched it.

Her expression became colder.

"You’re good."

Andrea smiled.

"You too."

Number Five suddenly disappeared.

Andrea’s eyes moved.

Nothing.

Then—

BOOM!

Number Five appeared directly above her.

The sword descended.

Andrea raised her blade.

CLAAAAANG!

The impact drove Andrea downward.

She crashed through several layers of ice.

CRASH!

The frozen ground shattered around her.

Number Five descended after her.

The living sword stretched toward Andrea’s chest.

Andrea suddenly disappeared.

Number Five’s eyes widened.

"What—?"

Andrea appeared behind her.

Her sword was already moving.

SHING!

Number Five barely turned.

The blade stopped against her neck.

For a moment, neither moved.

Then Number Five smiled.

"So close."

She twisted her body.

The living sword struck Andrea’s blade.

CLANG!

Both women separated.

Andrea landed on the ice.

Number Five landed opposite her.

They stared at each other.

The battle had finally become serious.

Number Five’s body began changing.

Dark lines spread across her skin.

Her muscles tightened.

The living sword connected to her arm began expanding, its surface becoming darker and more distorted as several layers of corrupted energy wrapped around it.

Andrea watched quietly.

"So that’s your true form?"

Number Five slowly raised the sword.

"Not yet."

Her crimson eyes glowed.

"I’ll show you what the laboratory created."

Andrea’s smile returned.

"Then show me."

Number Five vanished.

Andrea vanished at the same time.

The next collision exploded across the sky.

BOOOOOOOOOOM!

The shockwave tore through the clouds.

Below them, the laboratory remained completely frozen.

Celeste stood outside the entrance, watching the distant flashes of their battle.

Then she turned toward the frozen structure.

The researchers were still inside.

She raised one hand.

A thin layer of frost covered her fingers.

"I suppose it’s time."

She walked into the laboratory.

The thick ice closed behind her.

And somewhere above the frozen mountain, Andrea and Number Five continued their battle at a speed that ordinary eyes could no longer follow.
