There’s not much else to say. It’s not like you’re here for the eye candy, anyway.

Now that I’m getting older, I, Old Ghost, have gained some perspective. Writing is something you have to approach with a serious attitude, but in a relaxed state of mind.

I’m writing this book simply to tell a good story, and you, my dear readers, are here to read a good story.

It’s that simple!

If you’re enjoying the read, throw Old Ghost a monthly ticket. If you’re not, well, feel free to curse me out—actually, on second thought, let’s just scratch that.

I have no grand ambitions for this book. I, Old Ghost, just want to finish telling this story properly and make it a brilliant one.

I used to wonder how I could get you all to leave more Chapter comments, how I could get you to cast more monthly tickets. I’d rack my brain over it. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to a realization.

The only thing that will make you leave more comments is more solid content. The only thing that will make you vote with a monthly ticket is a more exciting story. Beyond that, what better method is there? After all, a key feature of this industry is its simplicity.

It’s so simple it can be boiled down to: Effort + Reward.

And I think that’s the most freaking awesome and commendable thing about this community of ours.

Now that it’s time for the book to go paid, I, Old Ghost, admit I thought about saying some pretty, flowery things, but it always feels a bit meaningless.

I am incredibly passionate about writing. To this day, I still haven’t gone for my post-surgery follow-up appointment because I have to ensure I spend at least ten hours a day writing.

Sometimes, I’ll spend days on a draft only to delete the whole thing because something feels off. But what’s the point in bringing that up? Isn’t that what every author who makes it in this community and earns some recognition does?

If you want to achieve results and earn recognition, the only way is to work hard. When that hard work bears fruit, you all will naturally see it.

And if it doesn’t, that can only mean I still haven’t worked hard enough.

So, I’ll keep this launch announcement simple. The only thing I, Old Ghost, can promise is that I will do everything in my power to write this story well and ensure the content I release every day is solid.
