The Elven Cultivator

Chapter 129 - 127: Something Never Done Before

Everyone present knew perfectly well that the outcome of the fight between Anton and Wood would be the deciding factor in this battle.

Therefore, when they saw Wood being suppressed by four streams of sword light, unable to even lift his head, Sieg and Bullock were both shocked and overjoyed.

Wood's strength was ranked second among the consuls of Kresol Dragon City, second only to the High Consul Aurion. He was a veteran Golden Peak expert.

Sieg knew that even if Wood were injured, he would be no match for him.

But Canglan?

Not only had he gained the upper hand in a direct confrontation with Wood, but he was also pressing him so hard he couldn't even lift his head.

The implications were self-evident.

Canglan's true strength was far greater than they had previously estimated!

The three suppressed consuls also witnessed this scene, and a storm raged in their hearts.

Their morale, already shaken by Kenneth's death, now suffered another heavy blow.

If they weren't tied down and unable to escape, they would have likely turned and fled long ago.

Anton's gaze was calm. Under the control of his Divine Sense, the four streams of sword light moved with extreme agility, like extensions of his own limbs.

He could anticipate Wood's every block.

He could promptly cut off his every evasion.

In just a few moments, Wood's body was covered in countless sword marks. Blood seeped from the gaps between his scales, staining the ground beneath his feet a dark red.

His stamina and Magic Power were heavily drained, and his movements had clearly become sluggish.

"It's time to end this."

Anton murmured, and the four streams of sword light abruptly halted.

Just as Wood thought Anton had exhausted his strength and a glimmer of hope flashed through his mind, the four streams of sword light suddenly trembled and split once more.

In an instant, they became a full eight streams of sword light!

SHIING!

The eight silver-white streams of sword light shot through the air like eight flood dragons, weaving an airtight net of swords in the void that descended upon Wood.

Wood's pupils contracted violently, his vertical slits filled with horror and despair.

He wanted to dodge, only to find that the sword light had sealed off all his escape routes.

"No..."

A furious, unwilling roar was cut short.

The eight streams of sword light pierced through his body simultaneously, exiting from different directions.

Blood splattered. Wood's body froze. He swayed twice on the spot before crashing to the ground.

The pass fell silent for a moment.

Sieg and Bullock's eyes widened in unison.

The faces of the consuls locked in fierce combat also changed drastically.

However, Anton's assault did not stop there. The instant Wood fell, he flipped his wrist, and five drops of Dark Heavy Water appeared in his palm.

With a casual wave of his hand, the five drops of Dark Heavy Water shot out silently, transforming into five streams of inky light that streaked toward the consul fighting Bullock.

That consul's expression changed dramatically. He frantically channeled his Power of Law, and the invisible force field around his body layered upon itself until it was almost tangible.

But against the immense power contained within the Dark Heavy Water, his deflection ability failed for the first time.

Under the impact of the five drops of Dark Heavy Water, the invisible force field collapsed and dissipated almost instantly.

The Dark Heavy Water continued unabated, slamming into the consul's chest.

He was instantly crushed as if by a mountain. His bones shattered, his internal organs ruptured, and blood gushed from his seven orifices as he fell to the ground, dead.

From Wood's death, to Anton decisively switching targets, to this consul's demise, it all happened in the span of a single breath.

In just a short time, two consuls had fallen one after the other.

Such a sharp, lightning-fast assault left everyone present stunned.

The two remaining consuls reacted almost immediately. They realized Canglan had clearly been hiding his true strength, planning to wear down Wood—the strongest among them—before striking with overwhelming force at the critical moment for the kill.

His only reason for doing so was the fear that revealing his power too early would scare them off!

'This guy was planning to wipe us all out from the very beginning!'

"Awesome!"

Snapping out of his shock, Bullock felt his blood boil. He couldn't help but let out a great shout, his eyes filled with excitement and awe.

He'd long been getting a headache from that consul's turtle-shell-like defense. Seeing Anton take him down so cleanly and decisively was incredibly satisfying.

After witnessing Anton's astonishing strength, Bullock's previous dissatisfaction with him had vanished completely, replaced by wholehearted admiration.

'So strong!'

'Of all the Golden Peak experts I've ever seen, not one is as formidable as Anton!'

Sieg was also so stunned by this scene that he was at a loss for words, his assessment of Anton once again revised upward.

'This is no ordinary Golden Peak expert who just awakened the Power of Law.'

'He's clearly invincible below the Legend rank!'

The two remaining consuls—one entangled with Sieg, the other trapped in the Five Elements formation—saw it all, and the last shred of their will to fight completely crumbled.

'I have to flee!'

The consul fighting Sieg suddenly erupted with a blazing golden light, forcing Sieg back several steps. He then turned to escape.

But just as he moved, eight streams of sword light descended from the sky, sealing off all his escape routes.

Bullock also came to his senses and charged from the flank, letting out a battle cry.

Three against one. The outcome was never in doubt.

The consul, who had awakened the Law of Radiance, only lasted two or three minutes before being pierced by the eight streams of sword light, following Wood to his death.

The last consul, trapped in the Five Elements formation, was even more isolated and helpless.

Anton withdrew the Five Camp Divine Soldiers and attacked simultaneously with Sieg and Bullock.

In just a few moments, that consul followed in his companions' footsteps.

With that, the battle was finally over.

All five of the Dragon Race consuls had been wiped out.

The pass returned to silence.

A wind blew in from outside the pass, swirling the ashes on the ground and scattering them slowly into the air.

Sieg and Bullock stood in place, staring at the five consuls' corpses in a daze.

Of the twelve consuls of Kresol Dragon City, nearly half had been lost in this one battle.

Before today, they would never have dared to imagine that the Fallen Dragon Association could achieve such a stunning victory.

Even Sieg, who had high hopes for Anton, had only expected to repel a few consuls and successfully capture the transport convoy at most.

Who could have imagined they would actually kill five consuls in one go?

When news of this spread, the entire Eldron Plain would be shaken to its core.

Sieg took a deep breath, suppressing the roiling emotions in his chest. He turned to look at Anton, his expression incredibly complex.

"Canglan, today you've accomplished something no one in the Eldron Plain has ever done before."

"When the results of this battle get out, your name will definitely resound throughout the entire Eldron Plain."

Anton smiled faintly. "My name is already well-known, isn't it? Don't forget, I still have a two-hundred-thousand Gold Coin bounty on my head."

Sieg was slightly taken aback, then chuckled. "You're right."

"Canglan."

Bullock walked over, scratching his head in embarrassment.

"I shouldn't have doubted your abilities before. I apologize."

Dwarves were straightforward. They would bluntly speak their mind if they were unhappy with someone, but once they realized they were wrong, they would frankly admit it and apologize.

Whether this kind of personality was good or bad was a matter of opinion.

"It's fine," Anton said with a wave of his hand.

Bullock grinned but said nothing more.

He was now truly and completely convinced by Canglan.

Anton collected the five consuls' bodies and then headed out of the pass.

"The transport convoy is still waiting outside. Let's go."

...

On the plain, the convoy of carriages was still waiting where they had stopped.

A few Golden Tier Dragon Race officers stood at the head of the convoy, glancing from time to time toward Graystone Pass.

"Why haven't the Lords returned yet?" one Dragon Race officer frowned. "There hasn't been a problem, has there?"

"What kind of problem could there be?" another Dragon Race officer sneered. "With five Lord Consuls attacking at once, what force in the entire Eldron Plain could possibly resist them? The attackers are dead for sure. Just relax."

"That's right."

"Stop worrying for nothing."

"Just wait patiently."

The other Dragon Race officers chimed in with their agreement.

Hearing this, the officer who had spoken first also felt his worry was unnecessary.

'It's true,' he thought. 'With five consuls on the move, what enemy could possibly stand against them?'

'Dealing with a few mere attackers would be a piece of cake.'

At this thought, he relaxed and looked toward Graystone Pass again.

As he looked, he spotted figures on the horizon and immediately shouted in excitement.

"The Lord Consuls are back—"

Halfway through his sentence, he suddenly realized something was wrong.

'The number of people is wrong!'

'There are only three figures in the distance!'

The other Dragon Race officers also noticed something was amiss.

The newcomers didn't seem to be the Lord Consuls.

As the figures drew closer, they soon confirmed this.

The arrivals were two humans and a Dwarf; the five Lord Consuls were nowhere to be seen.

'What's going on?'

The group of Dragon Race officers looked at each other, all sensing that something was terribly wrong.

And when they got a clear look at one of the men's faces, their expressions changed drastically.

Canglan!

That fiend who had slaughtered so many of their people!

'If this guy is here, doesn't that mean the five Lord Consuls are...?'

A terrible thought flashed through the minds of the Dragon Race officers, and the color instantly drained from their faces.

'Dammit! What the hell happened?'

Although it was hard to believe, the current situation undoubtedly indicated that something completely unexpected had occurred.

The leading Dragon Race officer immediately yelled hoarsely, "To arms!"

The Dragon Race cavalry and Gray Scale-man infantry, as if waking from a dream, all drew their weapons and faced the newcomers as if they were a formidable enemy.

However, this was destined to be a futile struggle.

A convoy without even a single Golden Peak combatant stood no chance against three of them.

Anton didn't even need to act; Sieg and Bullock cleanly and decisively finished off all the enemies.

In just a few moments, there was not a single figure left standing around the convoy.

Blood soaked the ground, giving off a dark sheen under the midday sun.

Bullock flicked the blood from his War Axe, his gaze sweeping over the corpses littering the ground as he grinned.

"Exhilarating!"

Anton, meanwhile, inspected the carriages one by one, collecting the goods piled inside.

In fact, the convoy was only carrying a small portion of the resources. The bulk of it was lying in the Dimension Rings of the several consuls.

Anton had already inspected them after the battle ended. The five Dimension Rings were filled with all sorts of rare materials and magical items.

'As for what exactly is inside, I'll take my time sorting through it all when I get back.'
