The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 25: Poisonous Cannibal Flower

Chapter 25: Chapter 25: Poisonous Cannibal Flower

In the carriage, Rong Ling no longer paid attention to her, leaning lightly against the wall and closing his eyes in thought.

Feng Qing felt bitterly troubled, gazing at the man lost in thought not far from her. Watching him, she forgot her own worries.

She became engrossed in admiring the Prince Regent’s grace. Truth be told, the Prince Regent deserved to be Dayan’s most handsome man, with his exquisite looks akin to those of dragons and phoenixes, exuding an innate nobility in every subtle movement. Even leaning lightly against the carriage wall, resting with eyes slightly closed, he could make the entire carriage come alive with charm.

Such exquisite features, if transported to the era she once lived in, would be akin to those of a superstar.

Feng Qing was deeply moved, when suddenly, the man resting on the couch opened his dark eyes, and in an instant, a brilliant radiance flickered, breathtakingly attractive.

Feng Qing was mesmerized, but the man on the couch responded with cold sarcasm.

"What are you staring at? Do you want to lose your eyes?"

Not only was he beautiful, but his voice was pleasantly captivating as well.

However, Feng Qing’s heart sank. How could she forget that this man had previously intended to kill her?

Beautiful indeed, but like a poisonous Cannibal Flower.

Thinking quickly, Feng Qing spoke, "Prince, when will you investigate what I mentioned earlier? If you find that the Feng Family truly proposed to the Emperor to eliminate you, can I leave the Regent Prince Mansion?"

Once she finished speaking, Rong Ling narrowed his phoenix eyes at her, "So eager to leave the Prince Mansion, what is your intention?"

Feng Qing instantly understood that he was about to accuse her of retreating to advance, so she quickly maintained a proper attitude and stated.

"Although I admire you, Prince, I know that a person of your stature is beyond my dreams. I fear facing you daily might make me lose control, so I voluntarily seek to leave."

That should suffice.

Rong Ling’s originally cold demeanor softened a bit, satisfied by Feng Qing’s attitude.

"You still have some sense, knowing not to dream of someone beyond your reach."

He finished speaking and closed his eyes again, speaking softly, "I will investigate this matter myself, but you’d better not deceive me, or else..."

Feng Qing saw him close his eyes and gritted her teeth, turning away from the man, silently contemplating the words she had previously spoken, though concocted by her.

The Little Emperor should not be able to tolerate an uncle as powerful as Rong Ling; he must want to eliminate him, making the Feng Family suggestion irrelevant, and it wouldn’t be surprising if the Feng Family did suggest something to the Little Emperor. Thus, her lie remained intact.

Feng Qing felt a bit relieved, at least for now there was no trouble.

Just then, the carriage stopped, and Nan Feng’s voice came from outside, "Prince, we’ve arrived at the Prince Mansion."

Rong Ling glanced at Feng Qing and said, "You may go down. For now, stay at the Purple Bamboo Pavilion."

The Purple Bamboo Pavilion was the yard where she and Rong Ling had married. Feng Qing didn’t say much, swiftly alighting from the carriage, and then Rong Ling instructed Nan Feng, "Inform the steward."

"Yes, Prince."

Nan Feng approached Feng Qing, respectfully speaking, "Princess Consort, please follow me."

Feng Qing nodded slightly, and followed Nan Feng all the way into the Regent Prince Mansion.

Although Feng Qing had just married into the Regent Prince Mansion, she already noticed that Nan Feng seemed to be Rong Ling’s most trusted person.

This man was tall and handsome, despite his youth, he was composed and stable in every move, maintaining propriety. No wonder Rong Ling had such trust in him, and judging by his expression, this person was upright, not bullying the weak. Even towards her, he had shown respect from start to finish.

While Feng Qing was thinking, the mansion’s steward brought people over.

"Uncle Lin, this is the Princess Consort. Escort her to the Purple Bamboo Pavilion and inform the people there to serve her well."
