It was already midnight as Ronan opened his eyes. There was Hesa, who stood on the tree branch, her head lifted to the sky.

"Are you okay?" Ronan stood up as he asked.

Hearing his voice, Hesa sighed.

"Maybe you should lead," Hesa spoke, stunned. She never really considered that just the first problem she would face would leave her unable to find a solution.

Not to talk of the fact that as a leader, you don’t only look out for yourself but others too.

Ronan chuckled.

"Tell me what exactly is bothering you and what is wrong with your plan exactly," Ronan asked calmly as he picked a nearby branch and sat on it.

Hearing this, Hesa sat on the branch she was on as she started speaking.

"You see, one of my abilities is echolocation. Basically, using sound waves, even the lowest ones, I can make out the general outline and ’see’ what can’t normally be seen with the eyes."

"For me, I can even see inside of an object or even what is behind it, but I have a limited range. From where we are, I can’t see the Orc tribe’s base," Hesa explained as Ronan listened extensively.

"If we were to go close enough to my range, we risk being caught. Yen has her ability that allows her to create a door through shadows and move from one end to another. I was just thinking if she and I work together, we risk being caught."

"She also has a limitation of distance. Unless somehow we can perfectly work out some points where it is the blind eye of the Orc race, and then, using Yen’s abilities, we are able to go in and out, then maybe this could be solved," Hesa finished as she furrowed her brows while Ronan laughed.

"You just figured it out yourself," Ronan spoke as Hesa’s eyes widened.

"You just provided the solution to your problem. All we need to do is find those points within the range of Yen’s abilities. Then you two can observe the Orc tribe’s base for a longer time," Ronan finished as Hesa looked at him, then smiled.

"Thank you so much," Hesa said as Ronan also smiled.

"You are welcome, leader. So now, let’s go find Yen," Ronan spoke as Hesa nodded.

The two walked to the other side of the tree where Yen was hugging the tree’s trunk as she slept with her body tilted at a weird angle.

Hesa and Ronan’s faces twitched as they saw this. Was this really the assassin they knew?

They woke Yen and then told her about the plan. Listening to this, Yen nodded.

So, they had a new goal: look for the weak blind spots in the Orcs’ defense. Just enough for the two to briefly appear, then leave.

Basically, the more people Yen carried, the slower her ability was, so Ronan offered to stay while the two girls had to do the work.

For the next few days, the girls studied the defenses and finally found the weak points that they could use.

Then they tried it, and it was a success. Now, Hesa could observe the Orc Chief for a longer time, only he seemed rooted in place with no sign of leaving anytime soon.

This was frustrating for the two girls, but they had to just endure.

After a week, they finally saw a change. The Orc Chief left for some minutes, but there were Peak Sovereign Realm Orcs that took his place.

So, the core was never left unguarded. Even if the security was changed.

"Master... what can we do?" Yen asked as Ronan frowned. Frankly, he didn’t expect this. But they had to complete the task one way or the other, and it seemed like the Orcs were not attacking the humans any time soon.

Could it be they wanted the humans to relax their guards before they did?

This was weird because Ronan was sure the humans would be tense and alert throughout the one-week period. If this went on for a longer period, then eventually they would be mentally drained and weakened.

"Alright, I will head there now. You keep observing and inform me immediately when the Orc Chief leaves," Ronan added.

"Yes, we will," the two girls smiled as they found a breakthrough.

The next day came as the girls resumed their observations. Meanwhile, Ronan traced the bones and hoped the graveyard was large enough. After all, even if the Orc Chief was not there, there were two Peak Sovereign Realm Orcs. If the number was not much, they wouldn’t be distracted enough for the girls to have the chance to plant the seed.

The more Ronan walked, the more bones he saw, and finally, he could see a large ditch in the forest ahead as his heart accelerated.
