Isabella raised her hand.
Platinum Mana immediately began gathering around her.
A brilliant platinum spell formed in front of her, surrounded by a faint aura of light.
The aura reminded me of the sword aura Amy often used around her blade.
Beside her, Amy condensed an Ice Spear.
But this time, the spear wasn’t made of ice alone.
Pure lightning covered its surface, crackling violently around the frozen weapon.
Elena prepared two different attacks.
A Light Spear formed in one hand.
An Ice Spear formed in the other.
Meanwhile, Luna and I remained farther to the side.
We could attack.
But we weren’t the main attacking force.
Our job was to support them.
There was no reason to waste our mana unnecessarily.
So we waited.
I kept my perception active while carefully observing the Minotaur.
Isabella glanced toward the others.
Everyone was ready.
She gave the signal.
"Now."
The three of them attacked simultaneously.
Isabella’s platinum spell shot forward.
Amy’s lightning-coated Ice Spear followed.
Elena’s Light Spear and Ice Spear flew toward the sleeping Minotaur.
But just as the attacks approached—
The Minotaur’s eyes suddenly opened.
Its massive body moved.
It grabbed its enormous battle axe and swung it in front of itself.
BOOM!
The attacks collided with the massive weapon.
Most of the force was blocked.
However, Isabella’s platinum spell still managed to reach the creature.
Combined with Amy and Elena’s attacks, it tore through parts of its defenses.
The Minotaur roared.
But the injuries weren’t severe.
The next moment, Isabella, Amy, and Elena drew their swords and rushed forward.
Luna and I separated, moving to opposite sides of the battlefield.
I kept my distance and prepared my spells.
This wasn’t our battle to lead.
We simply needed to wait for the right opportunity.
My perception spread across the battlefield.
I carefully observed the Minotaur.
Its movements.
Its mana.
Its breathing.
Its posture.
Everything.
I searched for a weakness.
Then the battle intensified.
Isabella took the brunt of the Minotaur’s attacks.
CLANG!
Its massive battle axe crashed against her sword.
She blocked the strike, but the force pushed her backward.
Amy immediately attacked from the side.
Elena attacked from the opposite direction.
Slash!
Slash!
Both of their blades managed to leave cuts across the Minotaur’s body.
The creature roared in anger.
"GRAAAAH!"
It swung its battle axe in a wide arc.
The three of them immediately retreated.
That was my opening.
I raised my hand.
Space Mana gathered around my fingertips.
A Space Bullet formed.
I compressed it as much as I could without draining all of my remaining mana.
Then—
I activated teleportation.
The Space Bullet disappeared.
A moment later, it reappeared directly beside the Minotaur’s head.
Right in front of its eye.
Bang!
The Space Bullet pierced straight through.
The Minotaur screamed.
"GRAAAAAAAH!"
It staggered backward several steps.
One hand tightly gripped its battle axe.
It had lost one of its eyes.
Luna immediately followed up.
She launched an Ice attack toward its legs.
Ice spread across its body.
For a moment, its movement slowed.
But only for a second.
The Minotaur flexed its muscles.
CRACK!
The ice shattered.
Amy didn’t hesitate.
Lightning surged around her sword.
She rushed forward.
Elena formed a crystal spear in her hand.
She gripped it tightly and reinforced her entire body with mana.
Isabella took the lead.
Light surrounded her body.
Her movement speed increased dramatically.
In an instant—
She appeared directly in front of the Minotaur.
CLANG!
Their swords collided.
The Minotaur was already injured and had lost one eye.
Its movements had become easier for Isabella to read.
She exchanged blows with it while Amy and Elena attacked from the sides.
Amy suddenly saw an opening.
She swung her sword.
Slash!
Her blade cleanly cut through the Minotaur’s right hand.
The hand holding the battle axe was severed.
The massive axe almost fell.
At the same time, Elena dismissed her sword.
She focused everything into the crystal spear.
Mana reinforced her body.
Her arm.
Her hand.
Every ounce of strength she possessed was concentrated into that single attack.
She rushed forward.
Then—
Thrust!
The crystal spear plunged directly into the Minotaur’s head.
It struck its remaining eye.
The creature roared in agony.
Isabella immediately took advantage of the opening.
Her sword became surrounded by her sword aura.
She aimed directly at its head.
But the Minotaur managed to move.
The attack missed its head.
Isabella immediately redirected the strike.
Slash!
Her sword cut through its arm.
The severed limb fell to the ground.
The Minotaur was now covered in wounds.
Its breathing became rough.
Its movements became slower.
It was reaching its limit.
The three girls backed away.
They watched carefully.
The Minotaur staggered.
Yet somehow...
It was still standing.
Then—
It suddenly swung its massive battle axe.
Once.
Twice.
Again.
The weapon cut through the air violently.
Everyone immediately moved away.
The Minotaur swung harder.
And harder.
Until—
The axe finally slipped from its remaining hand.
Whoosh!
The enormous weapon flew through the air.
My perception instantly tracked its trajectory.
My eyes widened.
It wasn’t heading toward Isabella.
It wasn’t heading toward Amy.
It wasn’t heading toward Elena.
It was heading straight toward Luna.
"Luna!"
Isabella’s expression changed instantly.
She turned toward her.
Her eyes widened in panic.
She immediately activated her movement technique.
But she was too far away.
Luna noticed the axe far too late.
By the time she tried to move—
It was already too close.
I didn’t have time to think.
My body moved on instinct.
I activated Teleportation.
Space twisted around me.
In an instant, I appeared beside Luna.
But I couldn’t simply move her out of the way.
The axe was already there.
So I did the only thing I could think of.
I raised my hand.
Space Mana surged violently.
"Space Blade."
A clear distortion appeared in the air.
Then—
Slash!
A razor-thin cut appeared across space itself.
The massive axe was struck.
Its trajectory immediately changed.
Instead of hitting Luna—
BOOM!
It crashed into one of the massive stone pillars.
The entire chamber shook.
Dust fell from the ceiling.
I released a massive sigh.
"She’s safe..."
Isabella also let out a long breath when she saw Luna unharmed.
Her expression quickly changed.
She turned toward the Minotaur.
In the next instant—
Isabella disappeared.
Her movement technique carried her across the battlefield.
The Minotaur barely had enough strength to react.
Slash!
Isabella’s sword passed through its neck.
The Minotaur’s enormous head fell to the ground.
Its massive body collapsed shortly afterward.
Isabella stood above it, breathing steadily.
The battle was over.
I, however, had almost nothing left.
My mana was dangerously low.
Space consumed far too much mana.
Especially when I had to use it repeatedly during combat.
I lowered my hand and slowly walked toward Luna.
"Are you okay?"
Luna nodded.
"Yeah."
"I’m fine."
I finally relaxed.
Then my legs gave out.
I sat down on the floor.
A moment later, Elena hurried over to Luna and checked on her.
Amy walked toward me.
She looked at me for a moment before smiling.
"Good job."
I looked up at her.
"Thanks..."
I leaned back slightly and let out another tired breath.
The battle was finally over.
As soon as Isabella finished off the Minotaur, she immediately rushed toward Luna.
Elena followed closely behind.
"Luna, are you okay?"
Luna nodded.
"Yeah, I’m fine."
"Nothing happened to me."
Isabella let out a small sigh of relief.
Then she turned toward me.
"Gray..."
"Are you okay?"
I looked at her, slightly surprised by the concern in her voice.
Then I gave her a small smile.
"Yeah, I’m completely fine."
"It’s just that my mana got drained."
"Space Affinity is extremely mana-consuming."
I scratched the back of my head awkwardly.
Luna, after confirming that I really was fine, finally relaxed.
"Thanks for saving me."
Isabella and Elena nodded.
"Yeah."
"You did a great job, Gray."
"Thank you for protecting Luna."
"If you hadn’t intervened at that moment, she could have been seriously injured."
I scratched my head again.
"Oh..."
"It’s fine."
"We’re a team, after all."
"It’s our responsibility as teammates to look out for each other."
The three girls looked at my awkward expression for a moment.
Then they laughed softly.
I didn’t know what was so funny.
But before I could ask—
Something else caught my attention.
My gaze shifted toward the Minotaur.
Its massive head was lying on the ground.
Its body had finally gone completely still.
My eyes immediately lit up.
Loot.
I quickly stood up.
"Luna."
"Let’s go check the loot!"
Luna stared at me for a moment.
There was a brief silence.
Then she smiled.
"That’s a great idea."
The two of us immediately headed toward the Minotaur.
Behind us, Amy sighed.
She looked toward Isabella and Elena.
"Look at that."
"That brat barely has any mana left..."
"But the moment he sees loot, he suddenly becomes energetic again."
She shook her head helplessly.
"And Luna isn’t any better."
"She almost got seriously injured a moment ago..."
"But now she’s following Gray toward the loot with exactly the same excitement."
Isabella and Elena looked toward the two of us.
Both of us were already examining the Minotaur with shining eyes.
They couldn’t help laughing.
Amy sighed again.
"Those two really are a perfect match."
Then the three of them followed us toward the Minotaur.
