We chatted happily inside the carriage until we finally arrived back at the Imperial Palace.

Our ruin-hunting adventure was officially over.

Once the carriage stopped, we all stepped out and entered the palace.

After an entire day of exploring ruins, fighting monsters, and searching for treasure, everyone needed to refresh themselves.

So we each returned to our respective rooms to take a shower and change into fresh clothes.

After we finished, we eventually gathered in the dining hall.

It was almost time for dinner.

I took my usual seat.

Not long afterward, Luna came over and sat beside me.

I looked at her.

She was wearing a simple white dress.

It wasn’t particularly elaborate, but somehow...

It only made her natural beauty stand out even more.

As soon as Luna settled beside me, she looked toward me.

"So, what are we going to do tomorrow?"

I thought about it for a moment.

"How about we train in the morning?"

"And afterward, we can drag that lazy Amy into town."

"We can try different foods and look around."

Luna’s eyes immediately lit up.

"That sounds great!"

But before she could say anything else—

"Tomorrow I’m busy."

Amy’s voice suddenly came from nearby.

"And who exactly are you calling lazy, you brat?"

I looked toward her in surprise.

"When did you get here?"

Amy smiled mischievously.

"Oh?"

"You two have gotten closer than I expected."

Both Luna and I immediately looked down at the same time.

I quickly waved my hands.

"What nonsense are you talking about?"

"It’s completely normal for us to get closer."

"We’re the same age, and we train together."

Amy’s smirk widened.

"Oh?"

"Did I say something wrong?"

"I simply said that you two have gotten closer."

She tilted her head innocently.

"Little brother..."

"What exactly did you think I meant?"

I stared at her with resentment.

Then I sighed.

"Think whatever you want."

"I don’t care."

Amy’s smile only became wider.

She suddenly reached over and grabbed my cheeks.

"Aww..."

"So cute!"

"Hey!"

"My cheeks!"

I struggled against her hands.

Luna was still embarrassed, but watching our usual sibling argument brought a smile back to her face.

Unfortunately...

Amy wasn’t finished.

She suddenly looked toward Luna and sighed dramatically.

"Oh, little brother..."

"Now you’ve completely forgotten about your amazing big sister after getting yourself a new fiancée."

"Okay, okay, I understand."

I gave her an annoyed look.

Amy immediately walked over toward Elena.

Elena was already struggling to hold back her laughter.

The moment Amy reached her, the two of them high-fived.

Luna’s embarrassment immediately returned.

I stared at Amy.

She simply laughed.

Soon, the Empress, Mom, and the others entered the dining hall and took their seats.

The Empress looked toward us.

She noticed Luna sitting beside me and quietly whispering something to me.

A small smile appeared on her face.

Then her gaze shifted toward Isabella.

"So..."

"How did everything go today?"

Isabella calmly began recounting the events of our ruin expedition.

Meanwhile, Mom looked toward me.

"So, Gray."

"Did you have fun today?"

"Yeah."

I nodded happily.

"It was really fun."

Then Mom’s gaze shifted toward Amy.

"Did Gray behave?"

I immediately puffed out my cheeks.

"Mom!"

"What are you saying?"

"I always behave properly!"

Amy immediately smirked.

"Yeah, yeah."

"Mom."

"He behaved too properly."

Mom simply smiled.

I glared at Amy.

"I’m ignoring you."

While everyone continued talking, I suddenly remembered something.

"Oh, right!"

I reached into my Space Storage and took out the book containing the SSS+ Sword Art.

I handed it to the Empress.

She looked at it with surprise.

"Oh?"

"What is this?"

"A gift?"

I scratched the back of my head.

"Not exactly."

"After we entered the treasure room in the ruins, Luna and I found an old sword."

"After we unsheathed it, an old man appeared."

"He was a sword spirit."

The Empress listened with interest.

"Really?"

I nodded.

"And he was really annoying."

The Empress covered her mouth slightly, clearly amused.

"Oh?"

"Why was he annoying?"

I sighed.

"He kept trying to give me his inheritance."

"Apparently, it was some kind of sword art."

"I don’t like practicing other people’s sword arts, so I refused."

"But he kept trying to convince me."

"He was like a roadside salesman."

The Empress couldn’t help laughing.

"And then?"

"After Sister Isabella stepped in, we scared him a little."

"So we took his sword art and brought it back."

"We thought it might be valuable."

The Empress laughed softly.

"That is certainly a unique way of obtaining an inheritance."

She looked down at the book.

"What rank is the sword art?"

I thought for a moment.

"That old man said he used to be a high noble or something."

"He also claimed to be a Sword Saint."

"And he said this sword art was SSS+ rank."

I paused.

"But it’s hard to believe him."

"He looked like a scam artist."

The moment I mentioned the rank, the Empress’s eyes sharpened.

But after hearing my final comment, her amused smile returned.

She opened the book and carefully examined the contents.

After reading through it for a while, her expression became serious.

"Yes."

"This really is an SSS+ Sword Art."

I nodded slowly.

"Oh."

"So that old man was actually telling the truth."

I scratched my head.

"I was so sure he was a scam artist."

Everyone around the table immediately burst into laughter.

I looked around in confusion.

"What?"

The Empress shook her head with an amused smile.

"So you really don’t want it?"

I nodded.

"No."

"I don’t need it."

"And Luna was the one who actually awakened the sword spirit."

The Empress turned toward Luna.

"Hm?"

"My daughter..."

"Then you should keep it."

Luna immediately shook her head.

"No, Mom."

"I don’t need it either."

She smiled.

"It’s more fun to train with Gray."

"I want to improve little by little by creating and developing my own swordsmanship."

"That suits me better."

The Empress’s smile widened.

"Oh?"

"Training with Gray?"

"I understand."

"I understand."

Luna’s face immediately turned red.

"Mom..."

The Empress looked at her innocently.

"Oh?"

"Yes, daughter?"

Luna opened her mouth.

Then closed it.

She simply slumped slightly in her seat.

Everyone laughed again.

As for Mom...

She wasn’t surprised at all.

She already knew that I didn’t particularly care about fancy inherited sword arts.

To me, creating and improving my own techniques was far more enjoyable.

Dinner continued peacefully.

Amy and Elena kept teasing Luna and me.

Isabella occasionally added a small comment of her own.

The Empress continued smiling throughout the conversation.

And before long...

Dinner came to an end.

I said good night to everyone before returning to my room.

The others did the same.

After everything that had happened today...

I was exhausted.

I climbed into bed.

And soon...

I fell sleep like a log.

The next morning, I woke up and immediately got ready.

After taking a shower and freshening myself up, I neatly made my bed before leaving my room.

I headed toward the dining hall.

As soon as I arrived, I greeted everyone before taking my usual seat.

Luna soon came over and sat beside me.

Her eyes immediately lit up when she saw me.

We began eating breakfast while having a pleasant conversation.

The conversation was simple.

We talked about yesterday’s ruin expedition, the things we had discovered, and what we wanted to do today.

The Empress quietly watched us from across the table.

A small smile appeared on her face.

She seemed perfectly content seeing the two of us getting along so naturally.

After we finished breakfast, we said goodbye to everyone.

Amy, Elena, Luna, and I headed toward the training grounds.

Mom and the Empress also went to attend to their own responsibilities.

Even though Mom had come here with us, she still had to deal with matters concerning the Starlight Family.

Soon, we arrived at the training grounds.

I looked toward Amy.

She immediately spoke.

"Alright."

"I’ll train with Elena."

"And you can train with Luna."

A small, mischievous smirk appeared on her face.

I immediately glared at her.

Amy burst into laughter.

Elena laughed along with her as well.

"See you later, little brother."

She waved her hand before walking away with Elena.

I sighed.

Then I turned toward Luna.

"Don’t mind her."

"She always likes teasing me."

Luna looked at me.

But this time...

She wasn’t embarrassed.

Instead, there was a faintly amused smile on her face.

I blinked several times.

"..."

"Are you making fun of me too?"

She didn’t answer.

She simply continued smiling.

I stared at her for a moment before sighing.

"Fine."

"Let’s just train."

I drew Eclipse from its sheath.

"How about we start with swordsmanship?"

Luna nodded.

She drew her own sword and stepped into a fighting stance.

"Alright."

"Whenever you’re ready."

A smile appeared on my face.

"Then..."

"Now."

I immediately stepped forward.

Our swords collided.

Clang!

And just like that...

Our training session began.
