Chapter 253: Chapter 253 – Murder plans

Bian stormed into the room, the ornate golden doors slamming shut behind him with a deafening thud. His footsteps echoed furiously off the marble floors as he marched across the room, fury seething off him in waves. His eyes were wild, his breath ragged with rage.

"Why did you say that?!" he snapped, voice cracking at the peak of his fury. "Why the fuck did you say you wanted an intimate wedding?! Huh? Are you trying to fucking hide me from everyone?! Is that it?! You want to keep me locked away like some dirty little secret?!"

Before Dican could even speak, Bian lunged forward, grabbing him by the collar and yanking him close.

Dican didn’t resist. He simply stood there like a broken doll—his body pliant, his face eerily calm. "I love you, my love," he said, voice sweet as honey, but his eyes... his eyes were hollow, almost disconnected from the words falling from his mouth.

Bian’s grip faltered for a moment. That sickly tone, that forced affection—no, something was wrong. Something was wrong. His breath stuttered in his chest. "Is the medicine wearing off?" he muttered under his breath, blinking hard.

No... it wasn’t. He had applied it not even an hour ago. The dosage was exact. The salve had worked perfectly all this time. Then why... why was Dican still thinking for himself? Why was he able to speak things Bian hadn’t scripted for him? This wasn’t supposed to happen. Dican was supposed to be his—his sweet, lovesick prince. A puppy eager to please. Not... this.

Trying to pull it back under control, Bian cupped Dican’s face gently. "Love," he whispered with mock tenderness, searching his eyes. "Tell me... why are you acting this way? There’s gotta be a reason, right?"

Dican closed his eyes tightly, as though trying to shut out the world around him. "I don’t know what you mean, love. I love you so much... I would bring all the worlds to your feet." His voice was soft and obedient, but his expression didn’t match the words. It was almost mechanical.

Something deep inside Bian twisted. Was he losing control? No. No, he couldn’t afford that. Not now.

"Then I want a fucking grand wedding!!!" Bian suddenly screamed, shoving Dican away with so much force that the prince staggered. "Not some pathetic two-day affair like we’re eloping in shame!"

He began throwing anything he could reach—cushions, scrolls, vases crashing against the walls. His fury was volcanic.

"I want the whole galaxy to watch! I want every eye in Gia to see that I am the prince consort! Not some fucking street rat from Earth you brought home like a stray mutt!" His chest was heaving, hands trembling as he pointed a finger at Dican.

But Dican only lowered his head. "The decision has already been made, love... I... I can’t ask them to change it now."

He stepped forward slowly, trying to hug Bian. "I just want this marriage to be loving... quiet... something real, something close between us. Isn’t that okay...?" he mumbled.

For a moment, Bian’s breath caught. His fury stilled just slightly. Even if it was a run-away wedding, it was still a wedding. He would still be royalty. Power, respect, the throne—it would all be within reach.

He turned away, tapping his fingers against his lips. Then, coolly, he looked back over his shoulder.

"Dican... your elder brother," Bian said flatly. "Can you kill him for me?"

Dican froze. It was like the world stopped spinning. His silence hung heavily in the air.

Then... a whisper: "Definitely, my love. But he’s bound for Earth."

"Hmm. Good," Bian smiled, venom laced in the sweetness. "Then I want you to kill both your brother and that fucking rock they’re going to pick up from Earth."

His thoughts drifted to Jian. That insufferable ghost. That unwanted shadow he could never seem to erase. Then his mind snapped to the old man and the child.

"Why the fuck are those humans still here?" he suddenly shouted again. "Didn’t I tell you to get rid of them?! Why the hell are they still breathing?!"

He gripped his hair, pacing back and forth like a caged animal. "I can’t even fucking touch them. The Emperor treats them like guests! If I so much as lay a finger on them, it’ll turn into a scandal!"

But then he stopped, exhaling sharply, trying to collect himself.

"...It’s okay," he muttered. "It’s okay. I threatened them. They know what’ll happen if they squeak. If they want to stay here, they’ll shut their mouths and play nice."

Behind him, Dican stood completely still—head slightly tilted, lips pressed in a faint line.

"Dican!" Bian snapped. "What are you thinking about, huh?! You better not be daydreaming—you better be plotting how to fucking kill your brother!"

Dican flinched. "I am... I’m thinking of that," he mumbled like a robot, eyes empty.

"Good. Now go. Start preparing the plan. When that fleet comes out of the fucking black hole, I want you ready to blow them out of existence. Got it?!"

Without another word, Dican nodded and quietly slipped out of the room.

He made his way down to the fleet operations center, where the massive star maps glowed on the holographic screens. He approached one of the officers and inquired calmly, "Where is the first prince’s fleet?"

The officer bowed slightly. "My lord... the eldest prince entered the black hole three days ago. Their current trajectory suggests they will not return to Gia for at least five to six years."

Dican stood there in silence, watching the swirling spiral of data rotate before his eyes.

Five years. That was a long time. Long enough for everything to change. Long enough to prepare... or long enough for something to break.

He quietly walked away, murmuring a soft "thank you" to no one in particular.

The palace gardens were glowing with life. In the center, a wide shallow lake shimmered, its waters clear as crystal and dotted with golden and lavender flowers that floated gently along the surface. The twin suns of Gia cast their light in rays that danced across the water, turning the whole space into something from a fairytale.

The location chosen for the wedding ceremony was undeniably beautiful. Too beautiful. Too romantic.

Dican stepped slowly into the clearing, taking it all in. But his chest ached. Because standing here, surrounded by all this beauty, all he could see was not Bian.

He saw someone else.

A young man with bleached-blond hair, standing at the edge of the water, staring back at him with fierce eyes and wind-swept defiance.

But he wasn’t real. He wasn’t here.

Dican clenched his fists, dropped to his knees, and sat on the ground in silence.

"Bian is my mate," he whispered to the lake. "Bian is my mate. I chose him. I love him."

But the image wouldn’t go away. It haunted him.

"That person isn’t real," he whispered again, eyes shut tightly. "He’s not real... he’s not real..."
