Chapter 281 - Utterly frustrating

Chapter 281: Chapter 281 - Utterly frustrating

Xing Yu pulled his pants down just enough to free his lover’s member. his face pressing intimately against Jian’s throbbing member as he slowly rubbed against him.

Jian immediately arched his back, his fingers tightening in Xing Yu’s hair as a breathless moan escaped him.

"X-Xing..." His voice trembled. "I... I’ll take a bath. We’ll do this after..."

"You just took a bath, though." Xing Yu grinned, leaning closer as he caught Jian’s scent. He buried his face against the soft hair by his navel and inhaled deeply, his expression becoming almost mischievous. "You smell like mangoes. Did you use those fruit-scented body washes that humans have?"

Jian’s face flushed.

"Maybe we should have packed more of those," Xing Yu murmured, rubbing his cheek affectionately against Jian’s hair. "You smell delectable."

Hearing the way he described him only made Jian blush even more fiercely. His entire face turned bright red.

"I... I did bring some with me."

Xing Yu gazed up at him with a pleased grin.

"Good." His voice dropped into a teasing murmur. "We might need a lot of those."

Jian couldn’t handle another second of those shameless comments. He immediately leaned back and buried his burning face in his hands, trying to hide just how affected he was.

"Jian, my love." Xing Yu’s voice softened. "Look at me."

Jian stubbornly refused.

"Look at me while I take you in."

The soft whisper was followed by a warm breath against Jian’s stomach, making him flinch.

Closing his eyes only seemed to make the sensation more intense.

"you look so pink and flushed even down here. did you know over the years the hair down here had turned from black to blond slowly."

Jian suddenly sat upright, gripping Xing Yu’s hair.

"Stop talking, you!"

Xing Yu chuckled and settled back against him.

"You said I was too quiet before, and now you’re ordering me to stop talking?" He raised an eyebrow. "Hmm. I have a very commanding mate."

Jian reached out and pinched his cheeks hard.

"I just can’t handle your live commentary, okay?" he complained, his face still burning. "I mean, who could? You just sound too sexy, and I just want to..."

Xing Yu immediately perked up.

"Want to what?"

"Nothing..." Jian squeezed his eyes shut, refusing to meet his gaze.

"Come on, my love." Xing Yu gently coaxed him. "Tell me. What do you want?"

Jian buried his face against his hand, gathering his courage. After a moment, he finally muttered through gritted teeth, "I want you to fuck me."

Xing Yu’s eyes widened slightly.

Jian’s embarrassment immediately turned into frustration.

"I want to sleep with you, okay?" he repeated louder, his entire face crimson from having to say it aloud.

His bold proclamation only made Xing Yu’s smile grow.

"I will."

Jian’s eyes narrowed.

"But only after—"

"I know!" Jian interrupted immediately. "You need to get my grandpa’s permission first. God, you’re such a stickler for rules."

He grumbled beneath his breath, glaring at Xing Yu from beneath his lashes.

Xing Yu’s expression softened.

He reached up and gently cupped Jian’s face, his thumb brushing over his flushed cheek.

"I don’t want to dishonor you by taking you before we’re married, my love," he said quietly. "You are my beloved mate. I would never treat you carelessly or make you feel that I took something from you without respecting you."

Jian bit his lower lip, still glaring at him.

"But I’m asking you to."

"I know."

"You know how embarrassing it is to say all of this out loud?" Jian complained, his voice becoming increasingly frustrated. "I want to touch you. I want to feel you. I want to sleep with you. And you’re just sitting there refusing me."

He shifted on the soft, cushioned chair and pulled his pants back into place, his movements almost sulky.

"Is it just me?"

Xing Yu could see the hurt beneath Jian’s irritation.

"I want you too," he assured him.

But Jian simply frowned.

"Then why won’t you sleep with me?" His voice became quieter. "It makes me think that you don’t..." He swallowed. "You don’t love me as much as I love you."

"No. No, my beloved."

Xing Yu immediately pulled him closer.

"I love you so much. More than anything in this entire universe. I couldn’t exist without you."

He leaned down and gently kissed Jian’s nose.

Jian’s frown remained, but some of the tension slowly left his body.

He leaned against Xing Yu’s chest, listening to the steady pounding of his heart.

Maybe he really was overreacting.

But at the same time, his frustration was understandable.

It had been five years since they had come to know each other. Five years of Jian secretly pining after this stoic man, five years of feelings and longing slowly piling up inside him. All that affection, desire, and anticipation had nowhere to go.

He wanted to throw himself at Xing Yu.

He wanted to be held by him, kissed by him, and finally allowed to cross that last boundary between them.

Yet Xing Yu kept refusing.

It was frustrating.

Jian’s fingers tightened around Xing Yu’s shirt.

"I love you, Xing Yu," he whispered. "I love you so much. That’s why I want this."

Xing Yu’s expression became conflicted.

He looked down at Jian, clearly struggling between his own desire and the promise he had made to himself.

Jian noticed immediately.

"But if you’re not willing now..." His voice softened. "It’s... it’s okay. I’ll wait."

He paused, then admitted miserably, "But being patient has never been my strong suit. I get frustrated easily."

His eyes began to sting.

Before he could stop himself, tears gathered in the corners of his eyes.

Jian felt utterly ridiculous.

He was actually crying because his lover refused to sleep with him.

It felt pathetic.

But Xing Yu didn’t laugh.

He simply reached up, cupped Jian’s face between his hands, and gently kissed the tears gathering in his eyes.

"If... if you truly want it," Xing Yu whispered, his voice unsteady, "then we can. We can."

Jian immediately turned his face away and sniffled.

"No."

Xing Yu blinked.

Jian rolled his eyes, wiping at his eyes with the back of his hand.

"I don’t want it that badly."

His stubborn declaration would have been more convincing if his cheeks weren’t still bright red and his eyes weren’t slightly watery.

Xing Yu stared at him for a moment before a helpless smile tugged at his lips.

His stubborn, impatient, easily embarrassed mate.

He really didn’t know what to do with him.
