"Yes." Auric nodded with a serious expression.

"Very well." The examiner came out and waved his hand. "Get the first patient in."

The first patient came in in a wheelchair. He looked like a middle-aged man who had seen his fair share of battles, judging by the wounds all over his arms.

However, Auric was more concerned about the energy stuck to his legs.

’The man has a wind element, but because of the light element that had pierced through his bones, this man’s energy couldn’t flow to that part.’ Auric frowned.

"Hello, sir." Auric nodded to the patient, talking to him in a polite and gentle voice. "It’s going to be all right, okay?"

As soon as Auric released his dark energy, the examiner shouted. "Hey, hey, hey. What are you doing?!"

He grabbed Auric’s shoulder and pulled him away.

"W-What?" Auric was confused as the examiner was standing right before him, glaring as though Auric had already made a mistake.

"You’re treating the patients already? Don’t you know the protocols? You don’t even know his condition. And you’re already treating him?"

"Oh... yeah..." Auric looked up.

"Do you think this is a joke? This is about someone’s life. If you end up making a mistake, someone will pay the price with their life"

"Yeah, sir. But... uh?"

"Are you talking back to me?" The examiner looked like he was about to chew Auric out.

Auric simply pointed to the patient with his hand right in front of the examiner’s eyes. "I’ve finished treating the patient. Look, he’s standing right now."

When the examiner glanced to the side, he actually found the patient standing up.

"I don’t feel pain anymore. It’s a bit weak, but I can actually stand up again?" The patient looked surprised. He was startled when the examiner suddenly pulled Auric away and lectured him, but he was trying to check the sudden change in his body.

"He’s just a kid! He’s only a silver-grade evolution master. Do you think he can see through that?"

"Whoa, whoa. Are you seriously asking me that question?" The chief examiner looked confused.

"Yeah? Why?" Examiner Jason frowned.

"I was in the bathroom."

"Huh?" Examiner Jason looked at his paper.

"I think this is a ’you’ problem. As I said, Chief Lucas is paying close attention to this matter. If you’re just making this hard for the kid, maybe you should just go back to your lab, assuming that the association doesn’t cut the funding."

"For a kid?"

"Yeah, for a kid who is going to be a 17-year-old gold-grade evolution master... the youngest gold-grade evolution master. Someone who will surpass Chief Lucas? What are you compared to him? Do you think Chief Lucas will prioritize you over him?

"You’re not going to fight it out with him?" Lindwurm asked.

’No, I’m not someone who fights every person I come across, you know?’

"Well, this guy is at fault."

’Are you trying to make the same situation as the one with Madam Shelly here? I’m learning as well, so I don’t plan to do anything. Besides, it will be better to remain this way. At least he’s not complaining right now.’
