"Hahaha. Your group is good, but you haven’t utilized your powers to their full potential." Supervisor Jacob laughed.
"For example, you, Katarina Vasilyevna... your control is superb. I have nothing to say, but after reaching Rank 3, your senses were heightened to a whole new level. You should be aware of micro control, right?"
"Yes. I’ve been trying to use it, but I still can’t."
"That’s because your senses have reached that level, but your body hasn’t. Now that you have reached Rank 4, your body is capable of hosting the power to handle that micro control. However, you need to use your transformation.
"For the time being, you should keep using your transformation once a day. Use the boost in power to try using micro control.
"Your bullets are already good, but if you can add micro control to it to further refine your bullets, it will change everything. The same applies to your barrier.
"While your barrier is good enough for now, those who have mastered micro control will be able to destroy it."
"I understand." Katarina nodded politely. "Still, won’t it damage my body if I keep using my transformation?"
"This is something that I’ve learned, so it might not be written in any textbook. Transformation might cause damage to your body in exchange for boosting your power. Most of the time, you need to rest for two to three days before you can use it again. That’s why stronger people will need to take time off between hunts and training.
"However, you can use your transformation multiple times, right?"
"Yes. As long as I don’t reach a certain limit, I can keep doing it. I think everyone can do the same."
"Exactly. That’s why you use the transformation for twenty minutes per session. Average people can last for about an hour while using transformation, so do three sessions a day. This will reduce the damage. With a good night’s sleep, you should be good to go the next day.
"Of course, if you still feel unfit, you may skip a day, but that should be enough for a full recovery."
Katarina gasped. "Is it alright to teach me such a secret?"
"This guy will probably realize it if his sensitivity is that good. He just doesn’t have much knowledge of transformation." Supervisor Jacob pointed to Auric, who was trying to pull his head out of the ground.
"Ehm? Can anyone help me?" Auric waved his hand.
"Enough playing around. You can do it yourself."
Auric sighed and pulled his head out. "It hurts."
"Says you. I don’t see any wounds on your body. You are in a much better condition than any of these girls, so stop whining." Supervisor Jacob rolled his eyes.
Of course, there was no wound on his body. Auric didn’t pull out his head immediately because he secretly used the light element to heal his injury. The ground sealed the energy, so no one noticed it, especially Supervisor Jacob.
Supervisor Jacob didn’t care. He simply continued, "Next is Vera Schneider. Your swordsmanship is sharp and flexible, but you have been too focused on its sharpness since receiving Greenfell’s training. You should combine sharpness and flexibility.
"If you can still follow up your attack after such a powerful strike, you could have landed two hits on me during that opportunity earlier.
"I think you will do fine with your swordsmanship. Your experience is plentiful, so you can continue to grow just fine. Just make sure to focus on the combination for now. Once you are able to reach that point, you will find your path opening up even if you don’t actively search for a way to improve."
"I understand. Thank you very much." Vera nodded. "Though you might have used a bit too much force this time. I still need time to get up."
"Well... I might have gone overboard this time." Supervisor Jacob looked at Vera’s condition awkwardly. "Need a medic?"
"No. I just need a bit more time."
"Okay. If you still feel uncomfortable later, go see the doctor."
"Yeah."
Supervisor Jacob turned to Ellia. "As for you, Ellia Stroph Astler. I never thought you would be able to launch a counterattack while trying to defend yourself. In terms of pure swordsmanship, you are better than Vera’s. However, your elemental manipulation is one step behind.
"You really need to step up your game. However, once you’re able to master your elemental manipulation, you will find many paths that you can focus on, like her."
"Yes, sir." Ellia nodded.
"As for you..." Supervisor Jacob looked at Auric before letting out a long breath, not knowing what to do with Auric. "You can work it out on your own. To be honest, I’m not exactly familiar with your style of fighting. But I guess you need to sharpen your mind. While cheap tricks may work from time to time, they won’t work all the time.
"You need to be more creative in using your power and focus on the elemental fusion. Your path is something I have never seen before, so I can’t tell you anything other than to continue on your path and hone each variable. You may find something you haven’t discovered before."
Auric nodded. "But that last one wasn’t a trick. Well, I did it to stop you, yes, but I wasn’t doing it solely for that reason."
"What are you talking about?"
"I’m talking about the fact that your injuries can be treated."
"!!!" Supervisor Jacob was astounded.
"I’ve heard about your retirement. During the sparring match earlier, I think I understand your fighting habit. You must have been channeling your injury into a single spot. You forcefully extract the energy so that your body can continue moving.
"However, because this energy has been accumulating for so long, it becomes something that can’t be resolved by ordinary means.
"That’s why all that energy on the right side of your abdomen... is still stuck there, completely entangled.
"When you release your energy, you’ve been avoiding that part the entire time, which is why the right half of your body has a slower response time. That should be the reason you threw the spear to Ellia first, since she was on your right.
"Because there was no obstruction in the left side of your body, you could respond to anything.
"You retired because of your injury, but I can still fix your body. I mean, not right now since I don’t have the strength to do it yet. Maybe I will be able to do it in a year or two." Auric shrugged. "I can’t make any promises right now. The accumulated energy is simply too strong for me to currently handle right now. Maybe if I become Rank 4 or Rank 5, I will have enough power to handle it."
Supervisor Jacob widened his eyes. He had visited all the renowned evolution masters in the country. He had even visited a few masters in neighboring countries, but none of them claimed that they could fix him.
Even Chief Lucas could only shake his head and apologize back then.
"You’re saying you can fix my body?"
"Not right now." Auric waved his hand. "Well, if my strength had been higher, I could have fixed you right now."
Supervisor Jacob didn’t know how to react. He had to retire early because of this injury, so it had become one of his regrets.
These four students ended up reigniting the fire that he had extinguished because of his wound.
Auric actually claimed that he could allow this fire to keep burning. "Are you saying you are willing to treat me?"
"I am not someone who turns down a customer as long as they pay. It’s not my problem if a certain man suddenly comes to my store seeking treatment." Auric shrugged.
He didn’t make a promise that he would treat him, but he didn’t discourage him from coming to his store either.
Supervisor Jacob couldn’t believe it, but he remembered Chief Lucas’s assessment. Auric might be able to do it in the future.
Supervisor Jacob thought for a moment before saying, "There might be some people who are trying to eliminate you during the Europe Training Program. No, there might be some favoritism, considering they want their own people to win.
"I can’t promise you that I will do whatever you want, but I promise you that if they attack first, you can expect me not to show any mercy. Blood might be spilled. I heard your principal is all about ’Equivalent Exchange.’
"So, I will just deal with them according to your principle and make sure you can return safely without being bullied... Of course, without causing a conflict between the two nations, if possible."
"Interesting. I guess you’re paying the interest first." Auric chuckled.
"That’s only the interest?" Supervisor Jacob chuckled. "Your treatment is so expensive."
"What do you mean by expensive? You must have visited a lot of evolution masters, but none of them can treat you. They will definitely charge more than I would." Auric shrugged.
"Fair enough." Supervisor Jacob scratched the back of his head. "Well, that’s the interest then."
"Well, you will probably find out when I reach Rank 4 or Rank 5."
"You can call me directly." Supervisor Jacob took out his business card. "You can call that number if you want me to pay the principal. However, if you realize after paying that you can’t do it, I’m going to get everything back from you, including the interest, from you."
"I know." Auric nodded.
"In that case, you guys can take a break for fifteen minutes. I’m going back to change my clothes. That’s where our training will begin."
Auric smiled.
Katarina couldn’t help but helplessly shake her head. ’A Rank 6 human just ended up owing him a favor. Besides, Supervisor Jacob’s position is much more powerful than that of the Keffling Brothers. It’s so easy for him to earn other people’s favor.’
"All right. Let me fix you guys." Auric stood up and walked to Katarina first. He placed his hand on the big bruise, while making sure that his body blocked Vera’s view.
This way, he could release his energy only through his hand without her realizing it.
The bruises disappeared in a few seconds.
"It’s good now." Auric nodded, satisfied. "Do you feel any discomfort anymore?"
"Nope. It’s all good." Katarina tried to stretch her body to check if there was any more pain.
"Okay." Auric then moved to Ellia and channeled his energy to fix her internal injury. He had to spread the light element all over her body, but the internal injury was quite minor, so it took him less time than Katarina’s treatment had.
After that, he walked behind Vera and placed his hand on her back. He made sure Vera didn’t find out about his light element for the time being.
"Now, all of you are good to go." Auric smiled. "Anything else?"
"You can actually heal people?" Vera looked shocked. "I thought you couldn’t."
"Gloria was in the previous hunting event. I couldn’t exactly show it." Auric shrugged.
"Fair enough."
"We just have to wait for Supervisor Jacob to get back." Katarina nodded. "Still, to think you can gain that man’s favor. I’m impressed."
