Racking his brain, Wandering Thief thought, ’It seems I lost more memories than I realized. Dying is such a handicap.’
The more he saw of Loki’s abilities, the more familiar Loki looked to him, pushing him to try to remember where he knew Loki. But when he saw the golden sun, he quickly forgot about Loki and rushed over to protect the golden sun.
His figure streaked through the world like the wind as he shouted, saying, "Please spare my brother."
In the blink of an eye, he jumped into the third dimension. Then his figure shimmered briefly before appearing outside of the Blessed Heaven World.
But before his voice could reach the Blessed Heaven World, the golden sun had exploded. So even though he did his best, it was still too late.
This made him say to Loki in anger, "You didn’t have to do that, Daoist. You didn’t need to kill him."
He had stopped calling Loki a fellow Daoist. That was how angry he was.
When Loki heard the accusation, he thought to himself, ’Of course, I needed to kill him. It is not even about need. I simply wanted to kill him.’
But he didn’t say that. Instead, he said, "I didn’t kill him. He killed himself. When did you see me lay a hand on him?"
It would have been one thing if he had actually killed Golden Sun and taken the Luck Supreme Metac for himself. He would have just ignored Wandering Thief.
But he didn’t do any of that, and he was unwilling to take the blame for something he didn’t do. So he said, "Please be careful with your words and don’t slander people."
Unfortunately, despite his reasonable demands, Wandering Thief was still angry and refused to back off. The Dao Lord of the Space Pathway said in anger, "If you hadn’t come to kill him, he wouldn’t have killed himself to stop you from reaching him."
"I said to stop slandering me." Loki also said in anger. "I didn’t come here to kill him."
"Then why did you come here if not to kill him?" Wandering Thief asked.
In reply, Loki grabbed a pillar and pulled it out of the ground. He showed it to Wandering Thief and said, "I came for this."
Before Wandering Thief could say anything more, he said, "If you want to fight, I am ready to fight you. If you’re not going to fight, then stop disturbing me."
As he spoke, the pillar he pulled out from the ground turned into a hammer. Then the hammer shrunk to fit his hands.
Wandering Thief narrowed his eyes when he saw this. His hands also began to itch as his eyes roamed across the hammer.
Repressing his urges, he said, "I want to make you pay. But this is not the right time, and this is not the right place. Finish what you’re doing quickly and ascend so that I can beat the life out of you."
Loki just snorted before ignoring him and continuing to roam the Central Domain. He was roaming to maximum, reaching as much surface area of the Central Domain as possible and devouring as many cities as he could before he had to leave.
Wandering Thief watched him work with his gaze still narrowed into slits and his hands shaking. His hands didn’t stop shaking until he saw Loki put the hammer away into the Cave Heaven.
Then he snorted and said, "Next time we meet, you would wish that you hadn’t done what you did."
He would have liked to also ignore Loki after saying so much. Unfortunately, he couldn’t. At least, not yet.
Another thing he could do but didn’t do was to fly into the third heaven. Instead of being pushed by the force of rejection of the world into ascending, he could proactively enter the third heaven. But for some reason, he was delaying as much as possible.
The same thing was happening with Harem King. She had already anchored her Supreme Metac and set up her Domain. She even announced her Sect to the Sea of Worlds, so there was nothing left for her to do.
But she didn’t leave yet. Like Wandering Thief, she was delaying for as long as possible. The two of them seemed to be waiting for something.
As for Loki, he too wasn’t in a rush. He continued to target and devour every life he came across. Sometimes, he went out of his way to reach living things because they were the easiest source of lifespan to him.
Eventually, he could no longer indulge himself. In a span of 10 seconds, he reached his limit and could no longer resist the repulsive force.
At this point, the new Domain was still in the process of being made. It was still rising from the void between the territory of Sword Maestro and the Harem King.
It would take a long time before the new Domain appeared in its entirety, and it would take longer still for it to be properly integrated into the system of the Blessed Heaven World. In the meantime, as long as he continued to supply the anchored projection of his power with lifespan and no one interfered, the Domain would be successfully completed.
"That will do for now," he said to console himself.
He still wanted to keep devouring, but time was up for him, so he could only be content with what he had achieved and move on. But before leaving, he dashed into the third dimension and sank into the River of Death.
Unfortunately, the world still repelled him in the River of Death, preventing him from searching for what he went there for. He was unwilling, so the Sea of Worlds had to bounce him out into the third heaven.
When Harem King and Wandering Thief finally saw that Loki was expelled from the Sea of Worlds, the two of them also decided to leave. Their figures became faint and intangible until they both disappeared from the world completely.
