THE GOD EATER

Since his external body was within range of Loki, he decided to use the power of his spirit to see through Loki’s existence. As his spirit scanned Loki’s body, everything inside Loki’s existence became clear to him, including the Divine Spark and the Divine Mountain.

"What the hell?" he asked in shock.

Then he shouted loudly, asking Loki, "How did you get a Divine Mountain? Are you a world?"

He genuinely wanted to know the answers to these things. And even though he knew Loki wouldn’t answer him, he asked the questions anyway.

After he asked the questions, his spirit lay waiting in Loki’s mind, being patient for the answer to his questions to come up. But no matter how long he waited, Loki didn’t think about the questions at all.

His failure to extract useful information made him angrier and more bitter with Loki than he already was. In his anger, he scoffed and said, "Keep your secrets. They will be mine soon anyway."

As he spoke, he activated the Suppression Divine Ability of the Enslavement Pathway. This caused an invisible forcefield to drape around Loki, seeking to weaken him.

On the other side, after failing twice in a row, Loki used the Tracking Ability, Siphon Ability, and the Seal Ability. All three were auxiliary abilities, and he didn’t want to activate them because they were 2-D Metacs, but he forced them to activate with the spark of power. Unfortunately, the three failed to take effect on Black Chain.

Now that he had failed five times, Loki decided that the best thing for his health right now was to run as fast as he could. He still had the Devouring Ability, which was a Main Divine Ability, but he was no longer in the mood to fight. Especially when he felt the massive invisible invasive force enter the range of his external body.

The range of his external body was the 8.1 square kilometers around him and every kind of instruction that entered it would be subject to his Divine Perception. If his Divine Perception is strong enough, he will be able to sense the particulars of the instruction.

As soon as he noticed the attack, he switched the free 272 divinity to Divine Perception. What he sensed was that the attack had a magnitude of 22,610,150,784 units of celestial power. When he sensed this, he put all the free 273 divinity into his Divine Speed and took off.

With the 272 divinity in his Divine Speed, his total divinity in that stat increased to 274 units l, so his speed increased by 137 times. Because of this, his figure shot forward as if he had been thrown from a catapult.

Unfortunately for him, the improvement in his speed wasn’t enough to avoid the spiritual attack. He didn’t have any Divine Ability to improve his speed, and he was too close to the source of the attack, so the attack caught up to him and took effect.

His Divine Defense stat tried to block the attack for him, but it fell short. Not only did he lack enough divinity in it, but he also didn’t have any Divine Ability to enhance his defense.

The invisible forcefield entered his body, covering every layer of his existence from the inside out. The force was so invasive that it was behaving as if it had originated from Loki’s existence, not from outside of it.

As the attack took effect, every part of his existence was forced to weaken by at least 90%. While fleeing, Loki felt as if a great weight had been placed on every part of his body. Even his mind didn’t escape this power. His thoughts became slower, and it became difficult to think.

However, for some reason, the effect of the attack didn’t affect the Spark of Power. The attack only affected the Devouring Supreme Metac, so the Divine Spark, the Divine Mountain, and the 272 divinity in the Spark of Power continued to work normally.

This was similar to what had happened earlier when Loki was forced to father a child. Because of this, the original 2 units of divinity in his Divine Speed weakened by 90%, leaving the remaining 272 units to boost his speed.

Seeing this, Loki thought to himself, ’It seems my Spark of Power is really hidden deeply. Or could it be that those things couldn’t affect it because of the 4-D prototype?’

He could still think normally with the Spark of Power, so this thought came easily to him too. But even though the Devouring Metac was now handicapped, it was also able to feel relieved. Only that the thought was agonizingly slow.

Another good thing was that the Spark of Power was able to pick up on the particulars of the attack affecting. It showed him that the attack had been produced by Rank(20) × Divine Spirit(436) × Divine Ability(9^3 × 6 × 60%) × Domain(98.8 sqkm) × 10(Authority), which made up the 22,610,150,784 units of celestial power that he sensed earlier.

When he saw this, his eyes widened in disbelief as he thought, ’Please tell him most of his divinity was placed in his Divine Spirit.’

Now he knew why Black Chain was so powerful. Apparently, Black Chain had a Dao Status of 20, which is already twice as high as his.

Plus, Black Chain had at least 436 divinity to use for power, had reached 60% conversion efficiency of 60, and was somehow able to make his Supreme Metac produce six times the normal volume of his Divine Ability. The more he saw, the more he realized how outclassed he was.

After parsing the information, a grim frown couldn’t help but appear on Loki’s face. Behind Loki, Black Chain was also frowning.

He was frowning because Loki didn’t slow down. Instead of shrinking, the distance between them was increasing. This wasn’t what he wanted or expected to happen at all.

As it was, Loki was 25 times faster than him. So if this was allowed to continue, Loki would soon leave the range of his external body, and it would become nearly impossible to catch him.
