This part where he needed to set up rules of operation for the framework to function properly turned out to be easy for him since Fenrir already had a set of rules that it was working with. He only needed to make some tweaks to it to improve its power and increase its compatibility with the world.

Its compatibility with the world is especially important now that Fenrir is separated from the spark of power and has to stand on its own. If its rules aren’t compatible with the world, it will be crushed.

Of course, he will still fuse Fenrir with the spark of power. But he wants Fenrir to have the potential for independent growth like the Domination Supreme Metac.

He can dump on the Domination Supreme Metac all day and say it is of poor quality, but the fact remains that it can create Divine Metacs and can be used as the foundation of a pathway that anyone can use.

If he doesn’t make sure that Fenrir’s rules are compatible with the world, the best thing that can happen is that only he can use it, and no one else can use Divine Metacs of the Devouring Pathway for one reason or another.

The good news about this is that no one will be able to comprehend the rules of his pathway and try to use it to create their own pathway. The bad news is that he won’t be able to use the Devouring Pathway to set up a sect and reap whatever benefits it is that Dao Lords fight for.

Of course, the consequences for poor compatibility of rules can be worse than that. Fenrir can actually become useless and refuse to work. So all of the effort he has put into the work will go down the drain.

If that were to happen, he would have been proud of his work for nothing. All of the boasting he did earlier would make him exactly like Money Body, who was also full of pride until he realized that he might have made a mistake when the requirement for lifespan came up.

This made him chuckle as he infused lifespan into the constructed Supreme Metac to solidify it. This is the last step in the process.

His lifespan drained from him into the Supreme Metac like an ocean drowning a desert. He really looked like an ocean because the Supreme Metac was draining up to 8.1 million years of lifespan from him.

His Divine Spark clenched lightly because of the severe drain on his lifespan. For a while, he felt like he was dying. It felt as if the Supreme Metac was killing him.

Fortunately, this was ultimately an illusion. It was just a painful illusion. The pain was real, but he wasn’t going to die.

The ordeal made him click his tongue and say, "It is my fault anyway. Who asked me to make a Supreme Metac this big?"

Money Body had created a Supreme Metac with a size of 3.3,3,1. So the volume of his Supreme Metac was 9.9 units. This was why Money Body needed 990,000 years of lifespan to solidify it.

The rules Money Body made for the Domination Supreme Metac were very good, so the Supreme Metac was able to expand by just a little bit more when he was solidifying it with lifespan. It expanded to reach a volume of 10 units, so it used up 1 million years of lifespan at the end of the day.

As for himself, he made Fenrir into a behemoth with a size of 9,9,1. So the volume of Fenrir had become 81 units.

81 units were the limit, and no amount of lifespan or rules could increase it. This is why he had to pay 8.1 million years of lifespan to solidify it.

This requirement of lifespan is non-negotiable. If he can’t pay up, the least problematic thing that can happen is that Fenrir falls in quality.

As bad as a fall in quality will be, at least he can still use it. The worst thing that can happen is that Fenrir collapses and doesn’t form at all. In this case, he will have nothing despite all of the work and resources he has used up to create a rank 9 Fenrir.

Fortunately, he had 8.1 million years of lifespan available for the Supreme Metac. It was a big chunk of his lifespan, but he gained 112 million years of lifespan earlier, so he had this much to spare.

Because of the infusion of lifespan, Fenrir transformed from being a virtual phantom similar to a transparent jellyfish into an opaque structure with the form of a white dog.

On the surface, Fenrir looked exactly as it did before. The only difference on the surface was that Fenrir was now shining. But deep down, Fenrir was completely different.

The first main difference was that Divine Metacs could now fuse with Fenrir and become part of its abilities. The second most important difference was that Fenrir’s abilities had all improved in power and versatility.

There are other changes that Fenrir had undergone as befitting a rank 9 Supreme Metac. But for now, he can only try out the first, most important change.

To test Fenrir’s new power, he took the Danger Sense Metac and fed it to Fenrir. Fenrir opened its mouth and swallowed the Divine Metac. Then he stood by to watch.

He saw Fenrir grow a second tail after it fused with the Danger Metac. This second tail was white, but it was also that of a snake.

Aside from this, there didn’t seem to be any other changes. Loki had to impose his will on Fenrir to see what was going on within it.

What he saw was that the Danger Sense Metac was now occupying 9 units of volume within Fenrir. This left 72 units of volume that could be filled with something. In return, the Danger Sense Metac became more powerful than the Domination Supreme Metac.
