The Good Guy with a….

Chapter 34: I’m Done WIth You

I slapped my husband.

I slapped him across the face.

I slapped him so hard that it left a bright red mark on the right side of his cheek. He stood there holding the right side of his face with his hand, utterly abashed.

I never hit anybody before, so this was the first person I ever hit. All that pent-up anger, all that pent-up frustration, I let it all out with that one slap.

"You can go to hell." I said angrily.

"What..."

"What did you just say..."

"I said you can go to hell! You limp dick piece of shit."

"H-Hyunjoo..." Park stood stunlocked of my reaction.

"Are you fucking kidding me..."

I can feel my husband’s anger rising as he clenched both of his fists and shook sporadically. This was the second time I ever saw him like this.

The last time he acted this way was the time a question him about the marks on his neck, and he made a face that I wouldn’t forget.

"Do you know how much I do for you....Do you know how much I work for us!"

He yelled again, but I wasn’t scared this time like last time because I had Park with me this time. I stood firm.

"Done for me? All you do is work, work, work, that all you do. The second you even come back from work, you get a call back from your supposed secretary to tell you to come back to your job. And it’s not that I hate you working, but the fact that you put your job first and some random fucking whore that you met over two years ago before your own marriage of eight years."

"For some whore? Are you seriously getting jealous over that woman again? I told you there is nothing between us--"

"YOU SAID THAT YOU DIDN’T LOVE ME!!!"

He was shocked; you could see sweat coming down his face as I yelled.

"W-What are you talking about?"

"The time that you unexpectedly came home from work, you were on that phone with you sencretary, and on the phone you said to her that you didn’t love me at all, even at the beginning of our relationship."

"Wait, you would in the closet?"

I just stood quiet; there was no need for me to answer that question. For the very first time, my husband was panicking. He was breathing intensely, and a river of sweat was pouring down his face.

"But there was half-eaten curry on the table too. Don’t tell me that he was..."

He averted his attention to Park. Park gulped.

"You..."

My husband clenched his fist.

"YOU MOTHERFUCKER!!!"

He lunged at Park with a straight fist to his face.

"W-Wow."

Park easily dodged it.

"Tsk...YOU PIECE OF SHIT!!!"

He attack agian, but Park dodged with ease again.

"Stop it! Don’t hurt him!"

There was no point of claming my husband down. As he kept throwing punches at Park, but Park unexpectedly did something that I had never seen him do before.

"S-Sorry, man, since you attacked me first, I have to use self-defense."

My husband threw another punch at Park, but Park moved to the side, grabbed my husband’s arm, and threw him on the ground. Lying on his back.

"A-Ack...Y-You fucker..."

"S-Sorry."

My husband was on the floor, twitching from the pain as he slowly lifted up.

"Y-You bastard."

"He is not the bastard. He was just defending himself as you attacked him viciously."

He looked up at me as his eyes widened with fear.

"H-Hyunjoo, I was wrong. Please, I-I’m sorry."

"I will be better this time, I-I swear."

He was panicking; he was afraid, not because of losing me, but because he was losing his trophy. He was on his knees begging me to stay with him, but I couldn’t anymore.

"Sorry, but I can’t be with you any longer."

"W-Why!?"

"Heh, Why? You may ask."

I grabbed Park’s arm and held it tightly.

"Because I love him now. My body, heart, and soul belong to him now."

"W-What?"

I took off my ring and tossed it on the floor.

"Here’s the ring back. I’m done with you now. I want a divorce."

"HUH!! H-Hyunjoo, y-you can’t be serious."

My face was stern, with no emotions or reaction. I want to get rid of my old meaningless life and begin my new full-feeling one.

"No, I am serious; I want a divorce in the morning."

My soon-to-be ex-husband calmed down, but shortly after, he began to laugh.

"Fine then, we can get a divorce. It’s not like I need you anyway."

He gets up and walks to the door.

"In the morning, I’m calling my lawyer, and we’re filing. I’m getting a hotel; I don’t want to stand in this apartment anymore."

He shuts the door behind him and walks out of the apartment.

"Sigh."

"H-Hunjoo, are you alright?"

Park asked, concerned, as he put his hand on my shoulder.

"Yes, I’m feeling really great. This was the first time I stood up for myself."

I put my hand on top of his hand and gently smiled.

"Park, I may be old, but I want to spend my time with you. I love you❤️"

Park started to blush.

"Y-Yes, but I don’t have a lot of money as your husband does."

"That doesn’t matter to me. The only thing that matters to me is you."

Park’s heart skipped a beat, and he blushed even harder.

"O-Okay. I-I’m sorry, Hyunjoo, but I should really get back."

"Yes. Good night." I said.

As he was about to leave, He stopped, turned around, and walked back to me and kissed me on the cheek. He walked out the door.

I was stunned by his action as I blushed. I smiled and began giggling like a girl in love before falling asleep.

***

The next morning came around, and my soon-to-be ex-husband and I sat at the dinner room table in front of the lawyer.

"Alright, I just need you both to sign here and here."

We both signed our signatures were the man told us to sign.

"Alright, everything is finally done. You both are now officially separated."

Soon after, I left the apartment with my belongings. My now ex-husband ended up putting it up for sale as he disappeared. I never saw him again after that.

But my new life is right ahead of me.

Knock Knock.

I knocked on Park’s door as I excitedly waited for him.

The door began to open, and Park was right in front of me.

"Park❤️"

I instantly hugged him with no second thought as tears fell from my eyes.

"I’m so happy...I can finally be with you❤️"

"So, this is the girl that you slept with."

"Huh?"

An unfamiliar female voice filled the room as I looked at Park’s face; he was sweating a lot. I looked behind me and saw a girl with blond hair, a red streak, and ear piercings.

"Sup, I’m Park’s girlfriend. Nice to meet you."

"Huh?"

Of course, my new life just keeps getting better.
