Meeting her gaze, Ling Feng said in a low voice, "You can invade us, but I’m not allowed to come to the Four Directions Nation?"

"Who are you?" Fengxue asked in a deep voice.

"My name is Ling Feng, I come from Paradise Island!"

"Last time, you’re the one who drove our Red-Clad Army back?" Fengxue asked.

"That’s right!"

Ling Feng nodded, then continued, "I thought that after your people returned, you would give up that idea. I didn’t expect you still haven’t let it go!"

"How did you know our army would enter the Space-time Vortex today?" Fengxue asked.

"Don’t worry about that. Anyway, I’m not going to let you enter today!" Ling Feng said.

Fengxue narrowed her eyes. "Just relying on those flying things of yours?"

"They’re not just as simple as being able to fly!"

Ling Feng let out a cold laugh and went on, "You saw the effect just now. Can you withstand a single missile strike?"

"Petty tricks, that’s all!"

Fengxue sneered. "You think just this is enough to scare us?"

"If you don’t care about the lives of your own men, you can have them charge. We’ll see who suffers more casualties!" Ling Feng said.

He knew that if the tens of thousands of Red-Clad Army attacked together, neither the Magic Crystal Warriors nor the ships would be able to survive.

Even with Mu Mu’s extraordinary abilities, she still couldn’t wipe out tens of thousands of people in an instant; by then, things would get very messy.

No matter how powerful one person is, they’re no match for countless others.

Even ants, when enough of them gather, can bite an elephant to death!

So Ling Feng’s main purpose today was still deterrence; he hoped to scare the other side away rather than actually start a battle.

Now it all depended on whether Fengxue could bring herself to make that decision.

This was a psychological game.

Ling Feng didn’t know Fengxue as a person, so it was hard to judge what she would do.

If the other side really chose to attack, he would rather abandon the Magic Crystal Warriors and the ships and take Mu Mu away first, return to the Paradise Island side and then decide what to do next.

The two sides fell into silence, no one speaking.

"Ling Feng, what exactly is your goal?" Fengxue asked in a low voice.

"The goal is simple. You don’t harass Paradise, and I won’t disturb the normal order of your Four Directions Nation. We just coexist peacefully!" Ling Feng said.

"You think I’ll believe you?" Fengxue asked.

Ling Feng smiled. "I don’t believe you either. But so far, all I’ve done is stop you, nothing else."

"What if you break your word and launch an attack on our Four Directions Nation?" Fengxue asked.

"Relax, I won’t do that!"

Ling Feng’s face was earnest.

His goal was to restore the Chaos Sword, but the premise was dealing with the Four Directions Nation, and he couldn’t just go on a killing spree for that. So for now, Ling Feng hadn’t yet figured out exactly what he should do.

"Your promise is worthless!"

Fengxue glanced at Ling Feng, then said in a deep voice, "We in the Four Directions Nation have so many warriors; just preparing for departure took us several days. Our morale was high when we arrived here, and yet we’re supposed to retreat because of your little performance—on what grounds?"

What she said wasn’t wrong. After all, she was the King. Even if her subordinates had been frightened by Ling Feng’s methods, she couldn’t simply announce a retreat.

If she did, the Four Directions Nation’s morale would never rise again.

From then on, every time the Red-Clad Army saw Ling Feng, they would feel inferior!

Ling Feng now understood what Fengxue meant. After pondering a moment, he said, "Since that’s the case, then we can only meet on the battlefield. Whether it’s your side or mine, both will have to pay a price!"

"It doesn’t actually have to come to that!"

At this moment, Xiao Xiao, who had kept silent all along, suddenly spoke up.

Ling Feng and Fengxue both glanced at her.

Xiao Xiao smiled and said, "This is everyone’s first meeting today. There’s no need for things to be so tense. We can find another time to sit down and talk properly!"

"Aren’t we talking right now?" Fengxue asked.

"It’s not the same!"

Xiao Xiao shook her head. "We’ve never met before and don’t understand each other’s situations. To start fighting as soon as we meet isn’t good. Throughout history, disputes have never truly been resolved by force. There’s nothing that can’t be talked through; only when talks really break down do you resort to fighting!"

She paused here, then said to Fengxue, "I know that the King brought the army here this time, and turning back halfway would really hurt morale. You don’t need to have the soldiers withdraw. Just have them camp here. It won’t be too late to decide after everyone has finished talking!"

"This..."

Listening to Xiao Xiao, Fengxue felt what she said made a lot of sense.

She truly didn’t want to see her soldiers die, but neither could she allow Ling Feng to force her into retreat. She would lose face, and the army’s morale would be heavily damaged.

Now that there was this chance to smooth things over, the situation became easier.

After thinking for a moment, Fengxue nodded. "All right, let’s do that. We’ll talk first!"

"Fine, no problem!"

Ling Feng also nodded immediately.

The seven Red-Clad women behind Fengxue immediately went to pass down orders. The tens of thousands of Red-Clad Army landed one after another, heading into the forest of the Health-Nurturing Grounds to set up camp.

As for Fengxue, she looked at Xiao Xiao and Ling Feng and asked, "Where do you want to hold the talks?"

"In the Four Directions Nation. It’s your territory. We won’t bring many people, just my Brother Ling Feng and me. How about that?" Xiao Xiao asked.

"Oh?"

Fengxue was taken aback and pointed up at Mu Mu high in the distant sky. "That little girl isn’t coming?"

"She’s not. Her strength is far too overwhelming; she would be a threat to you and wouldn’t represent our sincerity!" Xiao Xiao said.

"Very good!"

Fengxue narrowed her eyes slightly. "In that case, three days from now, I’ll be waiting for you in the capital of the Four Directions Nation!"

"All right, but we don’t yet know how to get there, or how to find you once we arrive!" Xiao Xiao said.

A sharp glint flashed in Fengxue’s eyes as she said, "I’ll leave a guide for you!"

With that, she turned back and said softly, "Huo Yun, come here!"

Hearing this, Ling Feng and Xiao Xiao both felt a jolt in their hearts!

A moment later, a red figure shot out from the forest and came to stand before Fengxue, lowering his head. "King, you called for me?"

"These two will be going to the Four Directions City. You’ll be in charge of leading them there. You already know each other anyway," Fengxue said.

Huo Yun’s expression didn’t change. He nodded and said, "Understood, King!"

Fengxue said nothing more. Her figure flickered as she flew up into the sky.

The seven Red-Clad women immediately followed, soon disappearing from sight.

"What’s the situation now?" Ling Feng looked at Huo Yun and asked.

"The King might already suspect I’ve been in contact with you. Your group suddenly appeared here, and that made her suspicious!" Huo Yun said.

Ling Feng thought about it and frowned. "If that’s the case, then you’d better not go back later. It’s too dangerous!"
