Chapter 468 - 467: Missing You Dearly

Chapter 468: Chapter 467: Missing You Dearly

Overwhelming killing intent raged, striking everyone’s hearts like a sledgehammer. They stared at the young man who looked as if he had just walked out of an Asura Arena, their eyes filled with the utmost gravity. But behind that gravity lurked sheer terror.

As expected of a prodigy from the Cloud Sea Immortal Sect, Ximen Yu’s willpower was far beyond that of the others. He immediately crushed the fear burgeoning within him and said in an icy tone, "Qin Ya, this is a Cloud Sea Immortal Sect affair. What right do you have to interfere? Aren’t you afraid of creating a conflict between our sects?"

Qin Ya’s brow twitched at Ximen Yu’s threat.

SLAP...

A sudden, crisp slap echoed.

A red palm print immediately appeared on Ximen Yu’s face. He would have never imagined Qin Ya would suddenly strike—and so fast that he had no time to react.

"I hate being threatened."

Qin Ya calmly lowered his hand. Ximen Yu’s face turned livid in an instant, his body trembling as uncontrollable rage erupted from within him.

"I’ll kill you!"

With a roar, a surge of boundless True Essence erupted from Ximen Yu. Violent energy swept forth as he clenched his fist and threw a sudden, brutal punch.

The punch arrived with incredible speed, carrying the force of a thousand stampeding horses, enough to make the earth shudder and mountains crumble!

"Too slow."

Qin Ya spoke with indifference. He lifted his right foot high and snapped it out like a bolt of lightning, striking first and sending Ximen Yu flying before his punch could even land!

BOOM! Ximen Yu’s body was sent flying backward, tumbling more than a dozen times in midair before crashing into a stone pillar of a large hall. With a loud CRACK, the pillar spiderwebbed with fissures, and gray-white stone fragments rained down.

Ximen Yu fell to one knee, violently spitting out a mouthful of blood. The impact had broken several of his bones. He swallowed an Elixir, his eyes, like those of an enraged Fierce Beast, glinting with a venomous hatred that wished it could devour Qin Ya alive.

ZING...

The ring of a sword resounded as a longsword with a faint green glow appeared in Ximen Yu’s hand. A surge of powerful Sword Qi erupted from it, coalescing into a hundred-foot-long Sword Light that slashed outward.

Qin Ya’s expression remained serene. He tightened his grip on Breaking Army, which was now flowing with the four-colored Power of Nature. With majestic might, he suddenly struck out, instantly shattering the Sword Light.

The remnants of the Sword Qi swept through the area like a wild gale, kicking up roiling clouds of dust. Ximen Yu immediately charged into the dust cloud, his green-glowing sword unleashing waves of Sword Qi that layered one on top of the other as they slashed down upon Qin Ya.

CLANG...

As spear and sword clashed, Qin Ya circulated his Four Symbols Power to negate the immense, wave-like force. Simultaneously, purple Thunder Power crackled around his body, lashing out like ferocious pythons toward the grim-faced Ximen Yu.

"Hah! Jade Wave Force!!"

A massive Strong Qi imbued with Mysterious Power erupted from him, spreading out in layers like ripples on a lake’s surface. It blocked the ferocious Thunder from advancing. It was a Mysterious Technique!

"A little interesting."

Qin Ya smiled faintly. His long spear quivered and then thrust forward in a mysterious arc. Though it was a single motion, it seemed like a thousand stabs at once. The jet-black spearhead vibrated at such an extreme speed that it created rings of light, and it effortlessly pierced through Ximen Yu’s defense.

One inch, two inches...

Breaking Army was unstoppable. The mysterious, wave-like defensive Qi Force around Ximen Yu was torn apart as easily as thin paper!

Ximen Yu’s pupils contracted violently, his face a mask of shock.

’Retreat!’

Without a moment’s hesitation, Ximen Yu retracted his sword and tried to fall back. But the speed of the Extreme Stab was far too great for him to dodge. In an instant, blood sprayed as Breaking Army punched clean through his right shoulder, leaving a gory, fist-sized hole.

"Stop!!"

Just then, an enraged roar echoed from the horizon.

A figure in black and white robes blurred into existence before Qin Ya. It was Lin Tianba, the Elder leading the Cloud Sea Immortal Sect contingent. His face was a mask of fury; he clearly hadn’t expected Qin Ya to be powerful enough to injure Ximen Yu this severely.

"Junior, you are far too ruthless."

Lin Tianba’s face was grim. He glanced at the pale Ximen Yu, and an irrepressible anger began to build, unleashing the immense pressure of a King.

The very world seemed to tremble before Lin Tianba’s wrath.

Yuee Hongyi, Xu Zhenhong, and Helian Lie arrived at the same time. Xu Zhenhong spoke in a low voice, "Elder Lin, is it really appropriate to get this furious with a junior?"

Lin Tianba retorted coldly, "Hmph. This junior severely injured a disciple of my Cloud Sea Immortal Sect. Am I supposed to just swallow this insult?"

"Furthermore, this was ultimately a matter for my sect, yet Qin Ya took it upon himself to interfere. Is your Kunyun Palace deliberately trying to make an enemy of us?!"

"Elder Lin, that’s a heavy accusation to be making."

"Hmph."

Just as the atmosphere grew tense enough to snap, an indifferent voice reached everyone’s ears. "Private altercations are forbidden inside the Void Mausoleum. I suggest you all calm down!"

As the voice faded, a figure shimmering with a faint white light appeared before them. Clad in gray robes, it was none other than the unfathomably mysterious Tomb Guardian.

"The Tomb Guardian."

Lin Tianba’s expression darkened, but he didn’t dare defy the Tomb Guardian’s words.

"Since we’ve disturbed the Tomb Guardian, we will show you respect, Senior. We will drop this matter for now... until after our time in the Void Mausoleum has concluded," Lin Tianba said.

"Then we thank you, Elder Lin."

"Hmph. Nanle, Lingxi, get over here." Lin Tianba’s shout, like a clap of distant thunder, made the two jump in fright. They immediately hurried over.

"Very well. The Nine-Layered Tower will open in three days. You should all use this time to rest, conserve your energy, and prepare for the trials to come," the Tomb Guardian said.

After the Tomb Guardian departed, the conflict ceased.

Everyone knew that if the Tomb Guardian were truly angered, no one there would be his match.

Li Peiyi, Nanle, Qin Ya, and a few others who knew each other found a spot to catch up for a while. Afterward, Qin Ya went to find Yuee Hongyi to ask about Leng Ningshuang and the others. Upon learning that they were all safe, he couldn’t help but let out a deep sigh of relief.

"I was severely injured that day and couldn’t afford any delay, so I took Ningshuang and the others straight back to Lingxiao Palace. I never imagined that in doing so, we would miss out on a genius such as yourself. It truly is a shame," Yuee Hongyi said, sighing as she looked at Qin Ya.

At this, she couldn’t help but shoot a sidelong glance at Xu Zhenhong. "If not for that, Kunyun Palace never would have gotten their hands on you. Hmph. They got a prize for nothing."

"Then I suppose I should thank you, Elder Yuee."

"Don’t mention it."

Yuee Hongyi seemed to have an idea. She turned to Qin Ya and said, "How about this? Once our business in the Void Mausoleum is concluded, you should leave with me, Young Friend Qin."

"Both Ningshuang and your aunt miss you dearly."

’This is bad!’ Xu Zhenhong thought. If Qin Ya left just like that, Lingxiao Palace would surely do everything in its power to make him stay. At that thought, Xu Zhenhong immediately interjected, "How about this, Elder Yuee? Wouldn’t it be better to send Miss Leng and the others to Kunyun Palace? Besides," he added, turning to her, "Xiaa Yun misses you terribly, too."

’Ah, Xiaa Yun, my friend,’ he thought, ’you’ll have to forgive me for this.’
