“What is this?!”
Luna shouted, her voice trembling with agitation.
“To think that pervert’s potion would lead to such a scandalous situation!”
Naked, the two sat back-to-back. Luna’s face was flushed deep red, even to the tips of her ears, as she tried to shout away her embarrassment.
“You’re the one who told him to make it,” Leo retorted.
Luna fell silent, unable to argue. With nothing left to say, she hugged her knees and buried her face.
The warmth of Leo’s body against her back made her face feel like it was on fire.
‘This is too stimulating!’
Every time Leo moved, she felt their skin brush against each other. She desperately suppressed the moans, not screams, that threatened to escape her throat.
Her heart was racing wildly, as if it were broken.
They had roamed battlefields together for years and stood side by side to save the world until the very end. But in truth, they had never been in a situation like this before.
The culprit was none other than Dweno.
Despite his personality, Luna and Lysinas were beautiful enough to make even goddesses weep, and Dweno had wanted to use them as models for his art. Naturally, being a model for his ‘art’ meant being a nude model, as Dweno was, in a certain sense, a certified pervert.
Lysinas and Luna had always been extremely cautious, keeping constant watch over their surroundings whenever they bathed outdoors or changed clothes.
Moreover, despite her rough speech and behavior, Luna had been raised with the education of a High Elf and had dedicated her entire life to magic. Being in this situation with the person she liked was unbearably embarrassing.
“Don’t you dare turn around. If you do, I’ll never let you hear the end of it!”
“I won’t.”
Luna snorted at Leo’s indifferent response.
“I have a question.”
“What?” Luna answered curtly.
“Why did you hide your feelings from me? Lysinas might have suppressed her emotions for the greater good, but you don’t seem like the type.”
“Sigh.”
Feeling stifled, Luna tilted her head back. She let the strength leave her body and leaned her back against Leo.
The sun had already set, and the night had deepened. Lunia, Eiran, Chen Xia, and Carr had all gone out to see the festival. It was only possible because Leo and Luna had made the excuse that they had something to discuss.
The curtains were drawn tight. The faint light from the Magic Stone Lamp cast their shadows on the wall. Luna glanced at the shadows of herself and Leo sitting back-to-back.
Leo was staring straight ahead in silence. After organizing her thoughts while watching him for a moment, Luna let out a self-deprecating chuckle.
“I actually proposed to you, you know?”
“What? When?”
Startled, Leo instinctively tried to turn around. Luna elbowed him in the face without hesitation.
“I told you not to look!”
“Ugh!”
Watching Leo clutch his face, Luna snorted coyly once more and pouted.
“I told you I would be your future. If you couldn’t envision a future, I said I would become your unchanging dream. So that your life could lead into mine.”
“That was a proposal?”
“Yes, it was a proposal, you idiot. It was a proposal. Back then, that pervert often told you, didn’t he? That you were a blockhead. Yeah, he was right.”
“Since when did you have feelings for me?”
“Since then.”
Proposing out of the blue to someone she had only just started liking.
‘I suppose that is very like Luna.’
As Leo let out a hollow laugh, Luna spoke while gritting her teeth.
“I made a vow then. I would never say I liked you with my own mouth again. I’d never show it, and I’d make sure you were the one to fall for me!”
“But you confessed when we were subjugating Zerdeac and Sillatna.”
“That was an exceptional circumstance, so it doesn’t count.”
Leo let out another hollow laugh as he watched Luna grit her teeth. He stared up at the ceiling in silence.
It was a clean but old inn that showed the passage of time. Late at night, the faint light of the Magic Stone Lamp flickered.
Because they were so close, he could clearly smell Luna’s scent. He could feel her flinch with tension.
After a brief silence, Luna spoke.
“How did you feel when you first realized you had reincarnated?”
“I was bewildered. I woke up from a long sleep and found my body had shrunk.”
“And after that?”
“I felt relieved that the world was still at peace even after 5,000 years. And I thought that this time, I had to finally put an end to it all.”
Leo looked down at his hands.
“Because it was an incomplete peace.”
“...Did you never think about just forgetting everything and enjoying life?”
“It’s not that I didn’t think about it. But I figured you guys wouldn’t have done that.”
“No. If I had been reborn in this era, I probably would have turned a blind eye to the world’s threats.”
Luna gripped her knees tighter.
“Because this world is like a dream.”
The current era was the very world Luna had dreamed of. What a joyful world it was. Luna herself was revered as the greatest Mage in history. Magic had developed based on the theories she had planted, branching out into countless disciplines and schools. Magical theories had evolved in directions even Luna herself could never have imagined. For a Mage, what world could be more worth researching than this?
“Arron would have been the same.”
Given his cowardly nature, he would have chosen a peaceful life.
“Dweno too.”
Though he possessed a mind like steel, Dweno would have spent his time cultivating the beauty of the world.
“Lysinas would...”
Luna hesitated, then burst into spontaneous laughter.
“Lysinas probably would have tried to wipe Erebos out completely.”
“Yeah, she’s that kind of person. But,” Leo added, agreeing with Luna. “In the end, all of you would have chosen to stand against Erebos again, just like me.”
Luna, Arron, and Dweno. To protect this world they had guarded, the peace their friends had sacrificed everything to achieve, they would have eventually stood against Erebos.
“If you were the type to say, ‘Someone else will do it, I’ve already done enough,’ you wouldn’t have embarked on that grueling journey 5,000 years ago in the first place.”
“Is that so?”
Luna burst into laughter.
“There certainly were a lot of hardships back then.”
“Yeah.”
“Do you remember when Lysinas and Arron were together...”
They began to reminisce. They shared stories of long ago, stories that had now become mere memories. As they did, their tension naturally began to melt away.
“Ah... this is really nice.”
Luna leaned back more deeply and stared at the ceiling.
“Come to think of it, do you still have nothing you want to do after saving the world?” Luna asked, changing the subject.
“I want to realize the future you all wanted.”
“Huh?”
“I want to find people to inherit your wills so that the future you dreamed of can continue.” Leo smiled softly. “So that my future can become your future. So that your stories can continue through my life.”
‘Ah... honestly, this guy.’
Despite having such a messy personality, why was he so selfless?
‘It’s because he was that kind of Kyle that even Lysinas fell for him.’
Understanding her friend’s heart, Luna spoke.
“Close your eyes.”
Leo obediently closed his eyes at her command. Luna stood up, moved in front of Leo, and leaned her back against his chest.
“If you try anything funny, I won’t let you get away with it.”
“It’s hard to do anything in this position.”
When Leo spoke as if he were troubled, Luna leaned further back against his chest.
“Let’s just stay like this for today.”
With her eyes closed, Luna spoke in a trembling voice. Her heart was racing, and she felt like she would die of embarrassment, but she wanted to feel Leo’s warmth just a little longer.
The night deepened. A strange time, brought about by the elixir, flowed by.
(T/N: My dirty mind can not! hahaha. I'm sure you all felt it too. Hahahaha)

The next day.
Leo and Luna went out into the streets.
“What a surprise. You didn’t go to school today?”
Lunia, who had come along, asked as she crossed her arms. Leo replied.
“I felt tired.”
(T/N: Did they.do.it? Or just my dirty mind at play here lol.)
“You?”
Lunia narrowed her eyes suspiciously. Leo just grinned at her. After staring at him for a moment, Lunia spoke.
“Can I get some advice?”
“About what?”
“It’s about Luna-nim.”
Leo looked at Luna, who was enjoying the street festival on her own, and opened his mouth.
“What about her?”
“The Pureblood Society people were quite rude to Luna-nim the other day.”
Lunia spoke as if troubled, still bothered by the incident.
“I was worried Luna-nim might have been disappointed with the current era because of that.”
It had been weighing on Lunia’s mind. At her words, Leo chuckled.
“I don’t think so.”
“Eh?”
“You saw it too. What kind of place Luna grew up in.”
“Mmm.”
“She won’t be disappointed by something like the Pureblood Society after all this time. She’ll probably just look at the bright side instead.”
“That’s true. I’m glad I talked to you.”
Lunia brushed off her worries and smiled brightly. Then she narrowed her eyes.
“By the way, you talk as if you understand Luna-nim better than I do.”
“Is that not allowed?”
“It’s not that it’s not allowed, but I was directly recognized as her successor, you know?”
Lunia puffed out her chest with a proud expression.
“I should be the one who understands her better.”
“But I was recognized by Seiren, wasn’t I?”
“Ugh. That’s different.”
Lunia seemed to want to understand Luna more deeply.
‘Well, she is her idol.’
“You’re a human and an All-Class, so just be Kyle-nim’s successor.”
‘I am Kyle.’
Leo was letting out a hollow laugh at Lunia’s words when—
“Hmm! I think it would be wonderful if this square were full of flowers!”
Luna crossed her arms and made a regretful face. Hearing her, Lunia spoke up.
“Shall I go buy all the flowers in the city?”
As the successor to the House of Lunda, the most prestigious of Elf families, Lunia was a young lady of immense wealth. If she set her mind to it, she could sweep up every flower in the city.
“Then there wouldn’t be any flowers left anywhere else.”
Luna said with a smile, glancing at Leo. Leo gave her a flat look and opened his hand.
Magic Power began to fluctuate, and flowers started to bloom profusely across the square. Gasps of admiration erupted from all around. Lunia’s jaw dropped at the sight, and Luna approached Leo with a beaming smile.
With a smirk, Leo made a flower bloom in his hand and tucked it behind Luna’s ear.
“Do I look pretty with a flower in my hair?”
“You look like a crazy woman with a flower in your hair.”
Leo replied with a smirk to Luna’s question. Luna’s expression turned cold, and she started punching Leo. Leo dodged her hands as if he were used to it.
Lunia was a bit surprised to see the two of them bickering.
‘Just like in the Hero Record... they seem like really close friends.’
She was envious of their bond. As Lunia watched them with envious eyes—
Swoosh—!
A wind blew through.
Leo and Luna froze. With hardened faces, they both turned their heads at the same time.
There, they saw a strange woman. She had transparent hair and transparent eyes, and nothing could be sensed from her. But starting from the ground where she stood, the life-filled flowers began to wither.
“It has been a long time, noble heroes.”
Watching the woman greet them in a voice void of emotion, Leo’s face contorted.
“Mirror Queen, Kinesi.”
At the appearance of a Legion Commander they had subjugated 5,000 years ago, bloodlust radiated from Leo’s body. Kinesi smiled as she looked at him.
“Shall we settle the score we couldn’t finish 5,000 years ago? Surviving Hero, Kyle.”
