Just take a so-called "inferior" Laine Silver Coin from the Ryan Kingdom to the neighboring Campbell Duchy, and it can be immediately exchanged for a hundred and fifty inferior copper coins.

This can be done from other parts of the Empire too, it's just that the Ryan Kingdom, with its land trade routes, is faster and easier for funds to gather here.

Although these copper coins might not buy much in Thunder City, clever merchants could very well haul these 150 copper coins back to the Ryan Kingdom and immediately change them back to 1.5 of the silver coins minted by the Ryan Kingdom, or simply exchange them for gold coins!

Originally, a 15% profit was already quite attractive; a 50% profit would be enough to drive numerous merchants mad!

They are even willing to not carry any cargo, just transporting that inferior brass and silver between the two countries, to fulfill the dreams of Thunder City citizens.

Moreover, technically speaking, the King's bottom line is higher than that of the Earl, and much higher than that of the countless Barons and Sirs.

No matter how crudely made, silver coins with the Royal emblem are truly more genuine than those randomly issued copper coins.

Therefore, when a large number of traveling merchants brought Laine Silver Coins from the Ryan Kingdom to the Campbell Duchy to exchange for copper coins, the Campbell Duchy was effectively robbing the Empire's silver, particularly pillaging silver from the bordering Ryan Kingdom!

Meanwhile, the myriad copper coins within the Campbell Duchy flowed back through the trade routes into the Ryan Kingdom, delivering the inflation attached to these copper coins straight into the pockets of the Ryan Kingdom's commoners.

The Nobles of the Ryan Kingdom would be surprised to find their silver coins mysteriously becoming exceptionally valuable, and gold coins even more expensive, just like what Thunder City citizens have already experienced.

Yet, conversely, other than the "tools" in the fields remaining unaffected, all the citizens from Twilight City to the Ryan Royal Capital would quietly slip back into poverty.

This is already a de facto act of war!

However, no one except the Demon King has seen this thing, so the parties in conflict are temporarily unaware that they've entered a state of war, and even less aware of whom they are fighting.

The citizens of Thunder City at least enjoyed the benefits of the production development by sipping soup with Duke Edward.

Whereas, the citizens of the Ryan Kingdom didn't gain any benefits, just getting inexplicably beaten up by their old, sleepy King.

Their copper coins would depreciate at an astonishing rate. While Campbell Duchy at least has "Edward's bread" as a safety net, they have nothing like that.

Their King would only sigh that there was still too much grass in the pasture, as if the last fire hadn't burned with satisfaction...

As for the Empire?

The Empire is too vast to feel it for now.

Putting aside what kind of scenery the distant Ryan Royal Capital might be, the textile workers at Horace Textile Factory could drink to their hearts' content today.

With their wages, after keeping what they needed for living, some of the remaining money immediately flowed towards the taverns in the New Industrial Zone that very day.
