The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!
Chapter 1827 - 505: Corpses, No Need to Know_5He swung again and again, the metal cross striking the ground, lightly shattering the tiles!
Seeing that the blow missed, Harlow twisted his body to gain leverage, and the howling metal cross smashed the church column in half, scattering stone fragments like cannonballs!
Boom——!
Jelock felt as if facing a great enemy, completely unable to fend off the attack in just a few rounds!
Fortunately, the madman's attacks had no method, merely flailing his blunt weapon around, like a gravedigger swinging a shovel.
If he had even a scrap of martial arts skill, Jelock might already be a corpse!
Nonetheless, Jelock dared not be careless. Whether it was the inhuman brute strength or chaotic fervor, it was far beyond what normal transcendent beings could match!
This guy——
Might be diamond level!
"You are Chaos' Apostle!" Using the brief pause in Harlow's assault, Jelock quickly jumped back to distance himself, a hint of astonishment flashing in his eyes.
"Congratulations on guessing right! Unfortunately, no prize! Hahaha!" Harlow whirled around his chain whip, a scarlet gleam suddenly flashing in his eyes.
Jelock hadn't yet seen what it was when a black cross swept over like a plow, sweeping through half the prayer hall!
Jelock rolled aside awkwardly, dodging the lethal blow. Just as he steadied himself, a ghoul lunged from the side, blood-stained fingers grasping towards his neck with fierce momentum!
Jelock kicked the ghoul in the chest, sending it flying, but this brief distraction exposed a weakness.
"Whoosh——!"
The sound of wind around his ears!
Harlow leap airborne with a sinister grin, the heavy chain whip thunderously crashing down towards Jelock's face.
"Die!!!"
Jelock had no choice but to raise a wooden stick across his head, channeling all his holy energy into it.
"Clang——!"
The decaying wooden stick and the cross attached to the chain whip clashed, unbelievably making a crisp clang of metal!
With this confrontation, the broken bench arm shattered on cue, bursting into a cloud of wood shavings that flew in all directions amidst the roaring wind!
The heavy cross broke through Jelock's defense; though it missed the vital point, the metal chain whipped fiercely across his left shoulder.
"Ugh!"
Jelock groaned, blood instantly soaking his monk robe.
Excruciating pain caused his stance to falter, knees bending involuntarily. Harlow thrust the studded wood handle forward, aiming directly for Jelock's chest.
Unfortunately, this lethal strike didn't hit Jelock's chest. Instead, his extended right elbow blocked it.
Agonizing pain ripped through his right arm, Jelock muffled a groan, the gathered holy energy before him being shattered by the immense chaotic torrent.
Robbed of holy energy's protection, Jelock was sent flying, crashing helplessly into the shattered statue behind.
The statue crumbled, Saint Sis's right arm landing beside him with a clatter.
Gritting his teeth, Jelock rolled over to stand, grasping the severed arm as if it were a sword across his chest, trying to regulate his chaotic breathing.
"Heh, not too bad."
Harlow pursed his lips, a flicker of impatience crossing his ugly face.
But soon, his expression twisted into sadistic delight, emitting a chilling laugh.
"However, this is the fun part, hehe..."
Halting his aimless frenzy, he dragged the blood-stained cross step by step, steadily closing in.
The surrounding ghouls also shuffled closer, sealing all of Jelock's escape routes, their eyes flooded with menacing blood threads.
"...It's over, young knight of the Campbell family." Harlow grinned cruelly, "The nobles of the Twilight Province are too weak. You're the first to force me to my limits; don't be despondent... With honor, lie in your grave!"
He's going to get serious!!
Jelock leaned against the cold altar, blood gushing from wounds, his consciousness dimming from excessive blood loss.
The chaos force's erosion was far more severe than his external injuries appeared, probably only Erin could defeat these true demons.
Seems like he's going to lose...
But.
He would not beg for mercy, nor yield to Ryan's King.
Jelock's heart held no fear; if anything, only regret.
Saint Sis up above, if you could still open your eyes, then see your servant.
They not only betrayed their faith but also joined forces with real demons!
Thinking of his elder brother who had grayed for him, Jelock felt a pang of guilt.
He owed his big brother too much.
Can only repay it in the next life.
Just as Harlow raised the chain whip high, ready to deliver the final blow to Jelock, a sudden untimely chuckle came from above the two's heads.
Following it were two crisp claps.
"Hehe, quite a spectacular show."
The voice wasn't loud, yet clearly reached both ears.
Jelock and Harlow almost simultaneously looked up.
Only to see, beneath the prayer hall dome, at the edge of the arched stained glass steps, sat a gentleman dressed in a tails coat, his presence unbeknownst when.
He wore a top hat, exuding elegance with every gesture, starkly contrasting the bloody desolate prayer hall, yet his sinister smile perfectly matched the setting.
Harlow's pupils suddenly contracted!
Who?!
When did he appear there?!
Even with his diamond level strength, he wasn't aware in the slightest; this person seemingly appeared out of thin air like a shadow cast by the cross onto the dome.
Jelock's eyes too widened, though for a different reason.
The strange, disproportionate figure seemed not that of a human but rather like a Maze's shadow demon.
Legend has it, under Reggie Dragon, there's a mysterious shadow demon assassin, somewhat matching this fellow's demeanor.
Ryan people are clueless about the Maze.
But as a Campbell family heir, Jelock too well understood the monsters there!
That fellow might be the true demon...
Unconsciously, Jelock tightened his grip on the severed arm of the Saint Sis statue.
"Who are you?!" Looking at the gentleman in a tails coat, Harlow growled threateningly.
He tightened his grip on the chain whip, instinctively deeming this uninvited guest as the greatest threat.
The chains rattled, dark red energy gathering in his palm, the metal cross emitting a bloody red glow!
That terrifying aura seemed intent on reducing the entire monastery to ashes!
Faced with the overwhelming chaotic energy, the gentleman in a tails coat simply smiled indifferently, ignoring it.
He reached into his chest, drew out an ornately shaped short flintlock gun, and casually inserted a copper shell bullet into the chamber.
"Ka——"
It seemed just an ordinary flintlock gun.
Yet, that copper shell bullet exuded an undeniable aura!
Unsure what it was, Harlow dared not act rashly, summoning all his strength to be guardedly.
Jelock couldn't help swallowing saliva, intently staring at the gun.
He had never seen a transcendent using a gun as a weapon, nor understood its purpose.
Looking at the vigilant "Burier" Harlow, Taros didn't answer his question, merely pointing the gun towards that twisted face.
He spoke in a casual, understated tone.
"The dead need not know."
