Zorn was naturally very pleased that so many Divine Spirits were participating.
As for the potential outcome of the coming war, he felt even more confident.
Zorn had previously used the Ritual Fire to incinerate the Taigula Ancient Divine Kingdom.
Although the Ancient Divine Kingdom had shattered under the Ancient Gods’ assault, the Ritual Fire was not extinguished.
The kingdom had split into countless fragments, large and small, that continued to burn in the Ritual Fire.
Even to this day, the burning remnants of the Ancient Divine Kingdom continued to provide Zorn with a great deal of Essence.
Although Zorn had no need for most of this Essence, the Cosmic Essence that the sacrificial incineration provided was a critical resource.
’The Ritual Fire must not be extinguished!’
And this was one of the reasons Zorn wanted to launch another war.
When Zorn entered the Calamity Court: Starry Sky Divine Hall through a passage to the side of the main chamber, the once-lively hall fell silent in an instant.
Towering Divine Spirits, some seventy to eighty meters tall, others over a hundred, sat upon chairs that resembled small mountains.
Even with over a hundred Upper Rank Gods gathered here, the Calamity Court: Starry Sky Divine Hall still felt incredibly spacious.
Zorn descended directly onto the main throne in the hall.
Even though five Ancient Sacred Mark·Upper Rank Gods and over a dozen Holy Star Upper Rank Gods of Seven Stars or higher were present, Zorn had, after all, participated in the war for the Ancient Divine Kingdom and turned the tide at a critical moment.
He had even personally clashed with an Ancient God in a fight to the death.
Though he had relied on other Ancient Weapons and was ultimately defeated, the fact that he had fought an Ancient God was indisputable.
Furthermore, Zorn had seized the Ancient God Artifact from the Jade Realm.
Rumor even had it that the Ancient Gods of the Calamity Court Divine Kingdom had borrowed that very Ancient God Artifact from him.
It was no exaggeration to say that Zorn was now the single most powerful figure in the Calamity Court Divine Kingdom, second only to the Ancient Gods themselves.
Zorn surveyed the entire hall.
The five seated at the very front were, of course, the Divine Kingdom’s five Ancient Sacred Mark·Upper Rank Gods.
Behind them sat over a dozen powerful, High Star Tier Holy Star Upper Rank Gods.
And further back still were the Middle Star Tier Holy Star Upper Rank Gods.
Just as Lord Ossirion had said, nearly every prominent Divine Spirit in the Calamity Court Divine Kingdom had arrived.
"Fellow Divine Spirits!" Zorn spoke calmly.
"I’m sure you’re all curious why a mere Upper Rank God like myself would dare to declare war on the two great Divine Kingdoms, Eternal Curtain and Star Remains."
"After all, in all these years, even our three great Ancient Gods have failed to conquer much territory from Eternal Curtain and Star Remains. In fact, before the war for the Ancient Divine Kingdom, we actually lost a great deal of our own borderlands."
"And even though we won the war for the Ancient Divine Kingdom, we did so with the help of outside forces."
"Our Calamity Court Divine Kingdom simply doesn’t have the resources to declare war on two other Divine Realms."
"But what if... I could strike at the very source of their power—their Trees of the Magic Ring?"
"If I could suppress the Trees of the Magic Ring of both Eternal Curtain and Star Remains, cutting them off from their power, would we then be able to wage war against them?"
The moment Zorn spoke these words, the entire hall erupted into chaos.
"What? Suppress both of their Trees of the Magic Ring?"
"How is that possible?"
"You must understand, those two Trees of the Magic Ring are rooted in the Star Dust Plateau! They are great entities, comparable to our own Calamity Court’s Tree of the Magic Ring. How could they possibly be suppressed so easily?"
"That’s... that’s impossible!"
Even these worldly and experienced Upper Rank Gods wore looks of utter disbelief.
Meanwhile, the three Ancient Gods who had been listening to Zorn’s words exchanged glances.
Though they would not actively participate in the war, they were certainly present to observe.
Zorn’s words had sent massive waves crashing through their minds.
’Could it be... that this kid can actually do it?’
