The Martial Unity

Chapter 4474 Trantruming Tree

With Rui having accepted the deal, the Tendril of Light's internal light grew richer, which most closely correlated with the emotion of satisfaction, from what he understood of this strange jellyfish-like alien species.

"Thank. You. Will. Speak. Again. After. Formalizing. Agreement. Making. Preparations."

"Will do, my friend," Rui smiled at the laminar integument.

WHOOSH

The laminar teleported away as a deep but highly precise wormhole emerged around his body, swallowing him whole. What impressed Rui was that the laminar integument had teleported across the Milky Way Galaxy. A feat that human civilization could only dream of with its current wormhole technology. Even with all the negatron matter that they had mined from Gaia planets, they still had no chance of being able to open a wormhole across the galaxy.

"It's only a matter of time before we grow this powerful, but time it will take."

He was confident that human civilization had what it took to become the most powerful civilization in the Milky Way. They could overcome the limitations that held many civilizations from growing larger and larger, but only if their civilization adaptively evolved to the many challenges associated with civilizations that grew to massive sizes.

He shook his head. 'For now, we need to focus on winning this war. Expansion can come after.'

Once his brief meeting with the laminar integument was complete, Rui returned to his office, where a secretary awaited him with numerous reports.

"Your Majesty." Claris entered the office the moment she was alerted of his return. "We have received an urgent SOS from the elves. They have requested aid from you personally as soon as possible."

Rui's eyes sharpened at those words. "Let me guess, they're having troubles with their manifold?"

RUMBLE

The world around them quivered suddenly. Not through heaven and earth, but rather through the very fabric of space and time.

"Tsk, it's acting out," Rui tutted, activating his Worm Step technique. "The elves overestimated themselves in handling such a living being."

WHOOSH

He teleported to Central Genora, where the Norwana Clan resided. This was one of the clans that formed the bridge between West and East Genora after the reconciliation led by Mother Maeria occurred. The bright afternoon skies illuminated the rich, green forest he overlooked, allowing him to get a good look at what was happening in the Norwana Forest.

What he saw was not pretty

RUMBLE!!!

The fabric of space and time around them had already become much more intense. He could see numerous elves in the forests manipulating nature to absorb as much of the gravitational energy as they could. The elves were very good at this, of course. Botanical biotechnology was the most suited for the absorption of external sources of energy. It was one of the reasons that Genora was virtually indestructible as a landmass.

Yet, the manifold tree possessed tremendous power nonetheless. He could already tell with a single glance what was happening. The elves had tried building a relationship with the tree, using their affinity for flora to try and manipulate the alien tree.

An utterly foolish action, as far as Rui was concerned. When that inevitably failed, they had tried connecting the roots of the manifold tree to their flora superintelligence to try and exert influence over the manifold tree.

By controlling the nutrients and compounds that it absorbed, they could slowly manipulate it. That was likely what triggered the manifold tree to use its ability to influence space and time within the manifold to cause as much mass destruction as they possibly could.

Unlike the Mellow Manifold's plant, the elves' manifold tree and even the manifold tree that the Kandrian Empire had very recently received from Ria were both very mature. They were closer, if still far, to the Greater Manifold that had swallowed the entire Panama Continent, which was larger than all of Planet Pinky.

If not for the elves' ability to absorb energy like a black hole, they would have undoubtedly suffered tremendous wide-scale structural damage across their continent by now, but the constant gravitational radiation was still dangerous.

RUMBLE!!!

Rui's ethereal eyes bore deep upon the manifold tree.

"E̷̱̹͇̖̱̳͈͙͔̹̹̥̘̓͗̅̏̅̑̈́̓̄͘̕ǹ̷̳̙̥̜ö̶̪̱̟͖̦̻̦̅͜ǘ̷̱͖̠̞̜̗̥̭g̵͖͈̒̇͗͑͒̓͑̒̈́̓̐̓̚h̶̤̠̹̳͎́̂̏̈́͑̿̾̅̀̓̕͘͘͘ ̵̢̫̜̩͈̠̗̱̺̂̄̓͊̀̀̄̈́́́ǫ̸̙̗̦̎̔̽̆̇͌́́̿̾̋͊͊f̷̢͔͇̟̀̔͘͘͝ ̸̛̤͈̦̞͐͂̓̂̽͆́̓̊̃̇̏͘̚ẙ̵̥͕̞͍͚̪̣̾̑̋̃̈́̂̆̓͌͛͠ơ̸̡̧͎̖̤̖͖͈̻̅̔̌̃͋͋́̊̽u̷̢̢̟̺̯̤͔̻͎̤̫̿͋͋̂r̸͕͉̜̻͚͍̲̳̗̥̘͍̥͂̈́ͅ ̶̣̣̬̭͎̩͎̙͈̱̟̖̈́ť̸͖̃̄̆̉̃͐͝ą̶̛̠̈́͋̍͂̈́͗̉̈́̓͘̕̕͝ͅn̸̛̹̜̂̒̿̈́̿̋̑̕t̷̛̙̩̝̮͈̰̰̱̺̥̪̺̰̦̮́̄̈́͑͋͐͗̃͒͌̌́͑̅ŗ̷̛̝̗̘̺̠͖̲̈́̅́̓̇͐̿͋͝͠ṳ̵̬̥̦̰̹̮̃̈́̊̏͛͒ͅṃ̴̼̳̪̠͕̉̎̐͘."

He activated his Martialverse in a very specific manner to the world around them.

Everything was Water, including the fabric of space and time. He simply exerted his Martialverse to adaptively evolve the fabric of reality to be less 'elastic,' preventing gravitational radiation from spreading very far or effectively.

WHOOSH…

The gravitational waves sputtered and died out immediately. The tantrum of the manifold tree began to resemble an angry child sloshing around in a pool of water rather than the tsunami it was before.

Rui descended upon the world as his Martialverse bore heavy upon the world. The elves, wounded and tired from fighting off the manifold tree's attacks found themselves overwhelmed by the familiar, yet absolute Martialverse he bore out.

Normally, Genora was under the absolute control of the elves and the Mothers of Nature. No civilization had as much precise and complete control over nearly every square inch of their territory the way that the elves did. This was their domain, and no force could wrest control away from them.

Yet, in the face of Martialverse of Water that Rui spread across the entire area, everything bowed. The very fabric of reality bowed before the power of the Martialverse, as the laws of Physics quivered unstably.

Rui descended slowly, setting foot ten meters away from the manifold tree. He studied its existence at the informational level, noting how much it differed from the Kandrian Minor Manifold.

The tree quivered as it struggled to defy his Martialverse.

It failed.

So what if it possessed a sizeable crystal of the most powerful Transcendent esoteric ever recorded?

Esoteric matter did not defy the laws of reality; they were simply a part of a more complex reality.

In the face of Transcendence, matter, both esoteric and normal, was merely a slave.

Rui took his attention away from the tree before turning around to glare at the elves. "How many times have I told you lot about how dangerous this tree is? You think because you're elves, you can control all flora in the universe? Your arrogance is the reason this fiasco happened."

The elves simply lowered their heads in shame in the face of the scolding from the Emperor of Water.
