Solomonia first assigned the dimension Vesta was part of.

Things had blown way out of proportion due to that clueless goddess and her reckless actions, but it normally still wouldn’t have been a huge mess.

“So, Solomonia is your handiwork, right?” Davey asked Goddess Freyja.

She turned her back on him when she heard that, looking pretty peeved.

He sighed with exasperation, saying, “Come on, lighten up a little.”

It was probably not a good thing that she could use such trickery just because she developed emotions.

Freyja took back control of Vesta’s dimension. Compared to the other dimensions that were already suffering from necrosis, her dimension’s condition was especially severe. Its deterioration had surely been accelerated by her careless use of power.

The biggest issue of all was that she’d gone on a rampage, forcibly stitching the dimension together with Tionis, and then ended up harming Goddess Freyja.

The world’s laws were a system with zero flexibility. Even those laws were suppressing the dimension that dared to harm Goddess Freyja.

“Look here, Goddess. We’ve got some talking to do. You’ve been dodging me pretty well. Stop faking being mad. It’s not like I’ve known you for a day or two.”

When Davey shot a look to signal Willow and Neltarid to leave, Neltarid made a sullen face.

Willow put a hand on his shoulder and commanded, “Follow me. Do you remember what I told you earlier?”

“That we’re completely useless,” Neltarid muttered.

“Right, so let’s go do our job.”

“Yes, Senior.”

Neltarid really followed Willow well.

With the two gone, it was just Davey and Goddess Freyja left. The Goddess casually waved her finger around, changing his clothes however she pleased as if she were deliberately avoiding the topic.

It wasn't the first or second time she'd done such a thing, so Davey calmly ignored it and brought up the topic he truly cared about, saying, “A keraunos phenomenon occurred recently, and an alternate space was connected as a result.”

She simply avoided his gaze.

“Just be straight with me. Is what that guy said true?”

He knew she wouldn’t answer with a simple yes or no. Interpreting her will was just part of his job. Even her giving a response was a monumental achievement. That much hadn't changed.

Yet, instead of answering, she held up her tablet and flipped the questioning back at him..

[What do you think?]

“Well, it’s hard to believe, but he didn’t seem like the type to do anything weird. For now, at least.”

[Then trust your instincts.]

She was leaving everything up to his judgment.

“That’s so frustrating. For real.”

Regardless, she kept changing his clothes over and over.

[Respect everyone and their thoughts.]

“Yeah, well, I guess you’ve never done anything that harmed me.”

Davey could rest assured of at least that much. Even if she put him through trials and threw obstacles in his way, there was always a reason for it.

She conceded many things to him, and he believed her.

“I’ll trust you. May I ask just one more question?”

The Goddess, who’d been concentrating on changing his outfit, finally looked up at him.

He asked her, “Why did you create that dimension?”

After a long silence, she slowly ran her hand across her tablet.

The next things she wrote were astonishing.

* * *

After Goddess Vesta’s dimension was reclaimed, everyone gathered in Davey’s office to discuss the matter.

“I’m glad it was resolved. The whole thing sure was a mess.”

“Right. Brother Vashas even sent a letter.”

Davey could already guess what it said. It probably started with him asking if Aeria was okay before going on for pages, making her feel uncomfortable.

Even though she hadn't been anywhere near the battlefield, Vashas was the kind of crazy brother who would send a letter just because an unidentified army invaded the Rowane Kingdom.

He originally hated his younger sister Aeria to death, yet after reuniting with Empress Redimia, he let go of all his stubbornness.

He had truly cherished Aeria before Redimia’s death.

Even though his cold personality hadn't completely changed, he had begun showing an unusual eagerness to look after her, as if to compensate for everything she had suffered.

As he, the figurehead of the noble faction, changed, the balance of power within the Lyndis Empire seemed to have shifted drastically as well. It was leaning one-sidedly toward strengthening the Emperor’s authority.

Illyna added, “It’s the same with Pallan. Brother Sullivan... Haah. He sent another message. I don’t know why he’s such a pest. He’s capable, but the way he handles things is just...”

Sullivan still didn’t get along with Illyna. Nevertheless, while Sullivan was a relentless guy who’d die without his sister, his obsession with playing the role of the bad older brother for his sister was truly incredible.

Although he wouldn’t need to do that anymore...

Davey informed them all, “Other bubble worlds still exist. Kouna, I'm sorry, but it looks like you'll have to come with me.”

She nodded. “I’ll help if I can.”

Davey then turned to the side. “Illyna and Perserque, cover up this incident as much as you can.”

“Cover it up? Is that even possible?”

“You can manage it somehow, right?”

Facing his request, Perserque and Illyna looked at each other and sighed.

“We’ll try, at least. Don't get your hopes up, though. The chances of pulling it off are pretty low.”

“Thanks.”

Ugh. Can’t you just forget about stuff like this and live comfortably?” Illyna complained.

“What can I do? I’m the only one powerful enough to handle these things.”

Davey didn’t mention any other reasons.

Though it depended on interpretation, the bubble worlds absolutely had to be dealt with.

There was a good reason for covering up this incident. Making it public would only cause unnecessary chaos given the situation’s uncertainty.

There had been a large-scale aerial attack, which people might assume to mean the demons had invaded again.

Their reputation was slowly improving because of their recent alliance and aid to the humans, yet if that kind of rumor blew up, things could get complicated.

“Teacher, I...” Josiah began.

“Oh right, you’ll be going back now,” he told her.

She didn't look happy with that. “Tsk.

“Just in case.”

“Davey, what should I do?” Aeria asked cautiously while holding Darian in her arms.

She showed a great willingness to help.

“Take Abel and Darian, then stop by Lyndis for a bit. You’ll get there pretty fast if you take Megalodria.”

Aeria was surprised by that suggestion. “Lyndis Empire?”

“Briefly inform the emperor or the princes about the situation. They’ll probably help.”

Emperor Deorte, who was head over heels for his grandchildren, would definitely take the bait.

The Lyndis Empire would be settled with that.

That was when Perserque tugged on his clothes.

His head turned to her. “Per?”

“I’ll go along, too,” she muttered.

“What?”

“What's the big deal? It’ll be a date for us, the first in a long time.”

‘Wait, what’ll Illyna think if you do that?!’

Davey’s gaze turned toward Illyna, nervous and dumbfounded.

He figured Illyna would be pretty exhausted taking everything on by herself, meaning she’d surely object to the idea—

“Have a good trip, Sister,” she abruptly said.

“Don’t worry.”

For some reason, she was smiling too brightly. Kouna, on the other hand, puffed out her cheeks slightly.

Now that Davey thought about it, Perserque could possibly freak out once she saw Solomonia.

* * *

The one who handed over the bubble world was Solomonia, a being with a tentacled appearance.

“It’s a pleasure, Milady,” he told Perserque with a bow.

KYAAA!!

When Perserque screamed and dove into Davey’s pocket to hide, Solomonia lowered his gaze and half-closed his eyelids as if deeply hurt.

“You’re being too harsh... You didn’t have to be that disgusted,” he muttered sadly.

“S-sorry, I didn’t mean to. Agh?!

Her face paled once she saw his tentacles again, backing away once more.

She had taken a kraken on alone in the past, yet for some reason she showed disgust at the strange squirming entity before her.

He turned to Davey. “Ummm. I get hurt, too.”

“I’m sorry. Her freaking out this much is kind of my fault...”

‘I shouldn't have teased her with similar things so often, starting with that creature from the Abyss a long time ago.’

Gritting her teeth, she jumped out of his pocket, flew up, grabbed his cheeks, tugged them all over the place, and shrieked into his ear. “T-this is all your fault, Davey!!”

“Vesta went too rough on the dimension.”

“Well, she brought that on herself.”

Davey shuddered, recalling the scene of Freyja graciously providing Vesta with a meal. “Seriously, what kind of food was that... to weaken a divine being so much.”

“Don’t worry. Even I took a bite and almost lost my mind for a bit.”

It wasn't even worthy of being called cooking. It was even closer to a realm of destruction than a realm of poison.

If Evangeline ever got married, he’d absolutely forbid her from cooking certain dishes, including that one. Of course, the groom would have to beat him first to become his son-in-law, so he probably wouldn’t die that easily from life-threatening foods.

Whew. Anyways, here it is. There are currently two necrotic bubble worlds that can be purified right now. The rest haven’t reached a level we can interfere with yet.”

Davey curiously asked, “Does this one have a divinity in it too?”

“It doesn’t. However, the world’s a bit strangely distorted,” Solomonia told him.

“Is it dangerous?”

“Well, there’s no dimension strong enough to harm you, the Great Soul.”

“And yet Vesta invaded Tionis?”

“I apologize!!”

He bowed the tentacles on his head instead of his neck.

“F-first off, regarding this bubble world,” he hurriedly explained, “The explanation was a bit lacking before. So, I begged the goddess and checked the internal situation first. This land is not a place where civilization flourished brilliantly, but there are still intelligent beings.”

“Hey, keep it simple,” Davey told him, getting impatient.

“T-the name given to this dimension is Titan,” he said awkwardly. “It’s a primitive world. And... Ah... no. That's unlikely to come up.”

“Hey. Speak clearly.”

Shaking his head, Solomonia responded “No, it’s nothing. But, if you happen to see a white orb of light there...”

“If I see it?”

“Be sure to take it. It’s a dimension pearl with incredible efficacy. Its power is very strong, able to significantly influence its surroundings as well. It’s also known as a wish orb.”

* * *

A colossal forest untouched by humans. It was a world that could truly be called primitive.

Before entering, Davey took both of the bubble worlds that needed to be cleaned up. He wanted to avoid the hassle of coming back to meet Solomonia just to get the other one.

“How strange. Unlike the virtual space we entered through Willow’s access device, this place is full of life.”

The virtual space Willow had created was also vibrant, but they’d just entered a real world crossed through a virtual space. On top of that, it was a world created by Goddess Freyja, so there was bound to be a difference in sophistication.

Giant trees, a thick blanket of fog that covered the sky. The concentration of oxygen was incomparable. The air was practically poisonous to humans, but no one was largely affected by it.

Bugs the size of humans could occasionally be seen, but they were just creatures that made up the ecosystem, not monsters.

“They’re huge...” Kouna gasped in amazement as she stared at the giant trees towering hundreds of times taller than she was.

“I agree. No wonder he called it a primitive world,” Davey remarked. “Kouna.”

She looked at him with a cheerful expression. “Yes?”

“Do you wanna try seeing if you can track anything here?”

“I don’t have a sense of how to do it yet.”

They couldn’t find it through mere rumors. Instead, Davey had to trust her senses.

He didn't know exactly what kind of power had taken root within her, but it felt similar to the power possessed by certain Special Ones of unknown origin, or perhaps even the forbidden power Hercules wielded.

If not that, then it was like his own unknown unique characteristic, Predatory Assimilation.

“Just try to be aware of it. All power starts with the wielder recognizing it.”

“Yes, Ummm... Umm!!” Kouna, unsure of what to do, closed her eyes and began to strain herself.

The two focused on her, waiting for something to happen.

Instead, a loud growl echoed from her stomach.

There was a moment of silence, and her face turned bright red as her eyes rolled around.

Davey smirked. “Hungry?”

“Th...” Tears welled up in her eyes as she couldn’t contain her embarrassment.

“Davey, stop bullying her.”

At Perserque’s scolding, he handed her some jerky that he’d put in his Pocket Plane.

Kouna took it thankfully. “A-aren’t you... having any?”

“I’m fine. How about you, Perserque?”

“I’m not particularly hungry either.”

Koona chewed on the jerky with a tomato-red face.

“But... this is weird,” Davey remarked.

Hmm?

“No matter how primitive, it’s too quiet.”

Other than the occasional crying of insects, the forest was eerily quiet.

“Yeah. For a forest this huge, the ecosystem should be incredibly active...”

“Davey.”

Hearing Perserque’s call, he lightly placed his hand on the ground and let mana spread out.

Thud!!

At the same time, an invisible wave spread out in all directions.

“...There’s nothing in the area.”

Still, he couldn’t exactly confirm anything with certainty. That was because having a complete divinity or the authority of sacrifice didn’t really matter when it came to such matters.

He then took his hand off the ground and stood up. Remembering something suddenly, he tossed a small stone from his Pocket Plane. “Oh, right. Kouna. Perserque. Both of you take this.”

“This is...”

“Lasting Embers. I managed to make one, even though it’s quite small.”

The process wasn’t easy at all, but it was the first thing he created with the authority of sacrifice.

Hmph? It’s different from the ember you got from Goddess Freyja back then.”

“It works like a healing stone and can mend injuries to a certain extent. It’s much faster than a potion, but it doesn’t have a resurrection effect like the one the goddess created.”

There was a reason the goddess had given him just a few embers. Making Lasting Embers that were capable of resurrection required a level of authority far more challenging compared to ordinary embers. Once resurrection became possible, the difficulty of the authority increased exponentially.

Kouna looked curiously at the flame inside the transparent, amber-like stone, marveling, “It’s amazing.”

“That’s...”

Boom!!

At that moment, an enormous shockwave rang out not far away.

“What was that noise...”

Flap flap flap flap!!!

A massive flock of giant birds suddenly took flight from somewhere in the distance.

Davey immediately knew the source of the noise. A huge reptile was charging ferociously toward them from afar.

“It’s quite... big...”

Perserque concentrated mana in her hand to draw out a spell.

However, something stopped her.

Thud!! Thud!! Thud!!

The ground shook as the enormous sound echoed with incredible speed.

They then heard long, slurred shouts

“You readayyy?! I'm readay, I’m readay!”

Thud!! Thud!!

“I’m not ready yeeeet!”

The fact he was able to understand their language was thanks to Goddess Freyja’s enhanced blessing as the dimensional barrier weakened.

Along with two completely different voices, a giant, about twenty meters tall with blue skin, swung a thick tree like a full-swing bat and smacked the reptile away.

“T-twin head orge?” Kouna muttered with a blank expression.

The giant had two heads, along with amazingly thick blue skin and overwhelming size. Its might was truly dominating.

The conversation Davey had just heard was the two heads talking to each other.

KIAAAA!!!” The reptile, struck by the massive wooden club, shrieked and bit the giant’s arm.

UGH!! Hurts! Hurts! Hurts!! Ouchie! Ouchie!”

“Hold on tight!!”

Its two arms moved as if following two different wills, and the hand of the unbitten arm snatched the neck of the reptile clinging to the bitten arm. It then slammed the reptile into the ground like crazy and swung it around by its tail.

The ground shook constantly from the immense impacts.

Even while being thrashed around, the giant reptile counterattacked, biting the giant wherever it could.

Looking at them, Davey couldn't help but wonder if he was experiencing what an ant felt when looking up at a human.

The winner of the brutal simple clash of raw strength was the two-headed giant, of course.

The reptile tried to bite the giant’s neck, but the giant grabbed its upper and lower jaws and tore its mouth apart.

With its jaw ripped open, the reptile died instantly, collapsing to the ground with its thick, foul-smelling tongue hanging limply from its jaw.

All of this happened right in front of them.

Whew...”

Davey and Perserque let out astonished sighs at the unbelievable spectacle before them, while Kouna, who had moved closer without anyone noticing, clung tightly to Davey and hid behind him.

“We got iiiiit! We got iiiit!”

“Dinner huge today! Feast! Feast! We’re gonna eat real good!”

Excited, the giant jumped up and down without tending to the wounds on its body, and then slowly approached to retrieve the reptile.

Its two pairs of colossal eyes soon turned from the reptile toward the three, who had been standing near the spot where the reptile had fallen.

Huh?” Staring blankly for a moment, the creature’s heads then looked at each other and mumbled, “Never seen before!!”

“Weird bugs!!”

The giant crouched down and observed them curiously, then slowly reached out a hand to perhaps grab them.

“Be careful grabbing! Too small they might boom if mess up!!”

“Got this! You shut uppp!!”

Their intelligence didn't seem high.

“Fairies the goddess talk about!!”

“Fairies? Never seen!”
