"Golden light?"
Tang Rao mused over what Tang Xiaobai had just said, pondering left and right about the golden light, wondering why Tang Xiaobai saw light instead of the arsonist. Could this light represent something?
"Dad, could it be that you don't want to give me the weapons factory and decided to destroy it in the process?"
The Kao Shan Sect's defenses were tight, and the factory's array was no less sophisticated. Considering how Tang Xiaobai valued his domain more than national affairs, under such strict defenses, it was hard for him to imagine anyone more capable than Tang Rao.
"You little brat, what nonsense are you thinking?"
Tang Rao slapped his hand down, landing on Tang Xiaobai's newly styled hair, flattening it.
"I'm not imagining things. Who else has the capability to set fire to the weapons factory?"
Praised by his son, Tang Rao's resentment subsided a bit, yet he didn't say that Tang Xiaobai was wrong. This chapter could be flipped over easily.
"This wasn't my doing. Think about it with your feet. I'd never destroy the factory after putting so much effort into it."
There is logic in that. Tang Xiaobai took back his assertiveness, and his suspicions slowly subsided as Tang Rao's anger rose.
"Tang Rao, is the factory truly gone?"
Fang Jinxiu was busy at the weapons shop and learned about the fire slightly later than Tang Rao. When she rushed over, all that remained on the thousand-square-foot land was a pile of framework and ashes.
"Yes, you didn't see wrong."
The reality was in front of her, the fire still burning. Could it deceive Fang Jinxiu, telling her the rumors outside were false?
That's it; all is lost.
Eighty percent of the factory's data came from Fang Jinxiu. Without her, the factory wouldn't be what it was today. Watching her hard work go to waste made her heart ache like being cut with a knife. She wanted to cry, but the surrounding heat was too high and the smoke too dense; her tears couldn't fall.
"How could this happen? The factory's defenses are strict; if a fire were to occur, it wouldn't be here."
Fang Jinxiu also couldn't believe this situation. Every setup of workshops and placement of equipment was her contribution; her years of effort now wasted, like hard work on weight loss undone in a night, realizing all efforts were futile and the loser was still overweight. Such feelings could resonate with many.
"Boss, there's already a small explosion here. What should we do?"
Fang Jinxiu was still complaining when Tang Rao's worst fear was realized.
In the Divine Realm, military zones need fire prohibition even more than those on Blue Star. The weapons' destruction power here surpasses other places. If an explosive weapon ignites, there will be chain explosions. The person said explosions have begun and are currently short-lived, not reaching unacceptable harm, but only because the fire hasn't spread. Imagine the spread causing larger explosions.
In Kao Shan Sect's Zijing City, what does a Northern Island compare to? Tang Rao held undisclosed information with an explosion hazard estimate. Fang Jinxiu explained professionally to Tang Rao the consequences if all ammunition in the factory exploded. She was so serious she seemed like a law student.
She said an explosion of Kao Shan Sect's stored ammunition would devastate the entire Divine Realm.
She didn't know the Divine Realm's size; she only knew the Southeastern, Northern, and Central Islands. Unfamiliar with these places, her conclusion was none of these five islands would survive.
None would survive!
Only Tang Rao and Fang Jinxiu knew of such severe consequences. How serious could it be?
So many leaders in the Divine Realm believed they were invincible, fearing nothing, unaware that their positions were already targeted and their safety threatened.
The crisis has arrived, explosions have started, and even Tang Rao feels unprecedented threat and challenge.
"Ammo in warehouses one and two have exploded completely; the fire is spreading towards us. The ammo there wasn't as intense, the large bombs are here. Even if we want to stop it now, it's hard. What should we do?"
In such a large fire, who could survive and complete tasks within?
No one could do it, could they?
"No! Call people over to extinguish the fire. If no one puts out this big fire, we're finished! Not just us, but Kao Shan Sect, Northern Island, and even the entire Central Island will turn into ruins."
The Divine Realm won't exist; what use is it competing for power and position before?
Groups of people were called over, knowing the seriousness of the situation, but who would willingly go to die?
"Boss, we've tried, but the fire can't be put out. The more water we use, the bigger the fire gets. Do you have any other ideas?"
Only when the fire's burning their feet did they tell Tang Rao the fire couldn't be extinguished, asking for ideas?
Tang Rao was bewildered, facing such a tricky issue for the first time. The fierce fire, heat wave, added anger to his already irritated mood.
"Xiaobai, you said you saw golden light earlier? Is that right?"
What the golden light was, Tang Rao kept thinking. Earlier he couldn't figure it out, but hearing the fire couldn't be extinguished, a thought began to form.
"Yes, golden light, a bright field. I noticed feather-like things appeared within the light."
Golden light, feather-like things.
"Phoenix?"
"Phoenix!"
Tang Rao was guessing. Wu Suowei, who came upon hearing the news, said the same word simultaneously, but Wu Suowei's tone was more certain.
"What Xiaobai saw was the same as what I saw. I saw it at the right time, and when the fire started I saw the phoenix's head for a moment."
Wu Suowei saw better than Tang Xiaobai. He only heard about the phoenix in ancient legends, but the features were distinct enough to identify it at a glance.
"Phoenix fire can't be extinguished? Have you heard of this saying?"
Even if there's a phoenix, can its fire truly not be put out?
