The Peerless Beauty Stuck With Me

Chapter 1924 - 1923: Deep Bonds Between Master and Disciple

"Every word Master just said was the truth. This is the time you should believe me, you good little disciple."

Fine then, Tang Rao didn't punch Wu Suowei off the ship, which meant Wu Suowei's life was blessedly hard to snuff out.

Aside from relying on Wu Suowei, the only thing Tang Rao could do now was save himself.

"Good disciple, that thing controls the direction, you can't pull it out. If you yank it off, this ship is finished."

Tang Rao did something even he could hardly believe—he was planning to rip the steering wheel off.

Just imagine it: would any driver with a normal brain pull the steering wheel off his car?

Tang Rao definitely wouldn't. Back on Blue Star, that kind of behavior would be catalogued under "brain not functioning properly."

Wu Suowei also felt that Tang Rao had taken a big mental hit and was reacting negatively. Pulling off the steering wheel might just be a short circuit in Tang Rao's brain, not his actual intention. But no matter how Wu Suowei tried to talk him down or stop him, Tang Rao still tore the wheel out without a shred of hesitation.

"We're done for!"

The moment he saw the steering wheel get yanked out, the aura of death had already settled over the heads of both Wu Suowei and Tang Rao.

So many storms and waves hadn't managed to kill them, and in the end the ones who were going to kill them turned out to be their own people.

"Forget it. Heaven clearly destined me to be yours; this life of mine was prepared for you anyway. Since you want me dead, I'll just accept my fate."

Wu Suowei's Inner Strength was basically going to waste. He had no intention of continuing to fight stubbornly to the death.

"Master, did your brain get flooded with seawater?"

Tang Rao had been racking his brain for ways to escape with his life, and here Wu Suowei was, busy brainstorming all the possible ways he was going to die?

Just now, Tang Rao hadn't been in the mood to bother with Wu Suowei's wild fantasies. Now that he'd wiped his hands clean of the dirty work and finished the job, he finally had time to straighten Wu Suowei out a bit.

"Look at you, you're about to lose your life and you're still grinning like that. How did I end up with such a dumb disciple like you?"

Wu Suowei clearly hadn't even looked at what Tang Rao had just done.

"Master, are you joking with me?"

Tang Rao didn't feel there was anything inappropriate about what he'd just done.

"You tell me—if you tore off the thing that controls the direction, isn't that basically dragging us out here just to die? Other than courting death, you got any better explanation?"

Huh?

When Wu Suowei pointed to where the steering wheel was supposed to be, he discovered it was still perfectly in place—and even looked more badass than before.

It had been just a cruciform thing before, now it suddenly had a circular ring added. This ring, at a glance… how to put it… the design was actually pretty stylish.

"What is this thing?"

Why have I never seen it before?

Wu Suowei honestly didn't know how to describe Tang Rao's wild, unbridled imagination.

"This is the real steering wheel."

Tang Rao gripped the wheel. He'd only spent a little bit of time swapping out some parts of the ship. As he stomped on the accelerator, the vessel shot forward like it had been wound up with a spring, instantly lunging into the distance at a speed several times faster than when they were pushing it with Immortal Energy.

Thinking of the parts he'd stripped from that Ferrari just now—scrapping a brand-new supercar—his chest still twinged painfully with every heartbeat.

"Good disciple, how did Master never notice you had all this stuff before? Just look at you—one casual modification and it's faster than before and looks better too. If I'd known you had so many good toys, I should've built it this way for you from the start."

Wu Suowei hadn't asked whether Tang Rao had these parts before, so how was Tang Rao supposed to know this was exactly what Wu Suowei wanted?

"If you want more next time, I'll give you some again."

With an escape tool in hand, the Beast Sea was a place you could leave whenever you felt like it.

Tang Rao was already thinking that if they really survived this calamity, he'd have Wu Suowei build a few more of these ships. Then they could rent them out at sky-high prices—there were always people who needed this kind of thing. It was a business opportunity; if they let it slip, who knew when the next chance would come.

"Next time?"

Fine, the fact Tang Rao would even promise more was enough for Wu Suowei to secretly rejoice. He had no idea Tang Rao had stripped a whole Ferrari just for parts—his heart had to be bleeding.

The Evil couldn't keep up with Tang Rao's speed. By the time Tang Rao burst out of the depths again, there wasn't a trace of him anywhere.

"Hahahahaha, didn't expect my improved engine to work this well."

Tang Rao knew whether his engine was good or not the moment he put his hands on it. As far as Wu Suowei was concerned, as long as it shook off the Evil, it was a good invention. What was the scariest thing? Thinking you'd shaken him off, yet still having that constant feeling of being watched.

"Kid, you're feeling way too pleased with yourself. Look ahead."

This time the Evil didn't appear in the sky; instead, he surfaced from below. Wu Suowei wasn't seeing things—he watched with his own eyes as the Evil rose up out of the sea and even gave Tang Rao a little smile. That smile almost made Tang Rao throw up yesterday's dinner.

"Where the hell did this thing come from?"

They were already going so fast they were nearly at airplane speed, yet he still managed to catch up to Tang Rao. That maneuver was crazy slick.

"Hey, what exactly do you want? Say something, will you? All you do is stare at me—your drool's about to cover the whole floor."

Tang Rao and the Evil were facing off, the difference being that Tang Rao was in the ship and the Evil was outside. With the Array providing escort, he couldn't get close to the vessel, couldn't even touch a single corner of it.

"Nice ship. I'm taking it."

The Evil leered.

The way he asked for things sounded more like he was asking Tang Rao for a cup of water.

Were these the kind of items you could just hand over without batting an eye?

Even Wu Suowei couldn't stand listening to that, let alone Tang Rao with his explosive temper.

"You're taking it? And why exactly do you get to take it?"

Tang Rao demanded.

A natural King's aura flowed off him. Even Wu Suowei, whose strength actually surpassed Tang Rao's, almost got forced to his knees by the sheer pressure.

"Aren't you at the late-stage peak of a High God?"

The Evil looked at Tang Rao, eyes gleaming. It seemed his interest in Tang Rao far outweighed his interest in the ship.

"None of your damn business."

Anyone with eyes could see Tang Rao's true strength. With the Evil's cultivation, if he still couldn't tell, then what, were his eyes broken?

"Kid, you've offended me, Big Scar. Better watch out or I'll toss you into this Beast Sea and feed you to the Sea Beasts!"

The Evil finally reported his own name. A name that would normally scare people so badly they'd piss themselves; when Tang Rao heard it, he almost laughed himself into pissing his pants.

"Don't tell me your face got wrecked and that's why you're called Big Scar? You ugly freak!"

Tang Rao straight-up described Big Scar as an ugly freak. Unable to accept being called that, the rage on Big Scar's face was practically overflowing.

"What did you say? Did you just dare call me an ugly freak?"

He brought both hands down in a chop toward the ship. The vessel, which could normally pass through anything, was suddenly shaken violently several times.
