Steely had always been one of Han Wu’s most exceptional units. In addition to the abundant resources Han Wu provided, he pushed himself relentlessly. That drive kept him far ahead of every other unit. Even Dark Locust couldn’t compare to him.

Before reaching the Subcosm rank, Steely could already unleash Subcosm destructive power. Now that he had officially broken through, his strength exploded.

The world-ending storm swirling around him was drawn inward and absorbed completely. The energy healed all his wounds. Blades of black wind gathered around his hundred arms and condensed into greatswords infused with the Hurricane Jurisdiction’s power and the might of the God-killing Obsidrum.

Even the Light God King felt a flicker of danger from Steely’s current state. It was bad enough that Han Wu himself could match him. Now even one of his units was making him feel threatened. To the Light God King, this was nothing short of humiliating.

“Die!” the Light God King roared and pushed himself to his absolute limit. One hundred Microcosms were ripped from his reserves and forged into a single Spear of Victory.

Hit or miss, those Microcosms would be spent forever. The level of control required was far beyond anything an ordinary Microcosm-fueled attack demanded. The spear shot forward and locked onto Steely.

Steely sensed the lock, closed his eyes, and swung on pure instinct.

This was the first time he was using Steelcutter with the power of a Subcosm life form. All one hundred blades merged into a single greatsword of swirling black and azure. He brought it crashing down to meet the Spear of Victory.

A terrifying shockwave erupted outward. The aftershock alone killed countless Light Mages in the vicinity. Under the violent clash of energies, Steely’s fused greatsword started to crack. The Spear of Victory was forcing its way through.

At the critical moment, Steely triggered his ability, Second Hand. Everything within 10,000 meters froze in time. The Light God King was inside that radius.

In the next instant, Steely drew on his Hurricane Jurisdiction embryo and rocketed forward. Within a single second, he crossed nearly 10,000 meters, reached the Light God King, and brought his crumbling greatsword down on him.

The blade made contact just as the one-second time freeze ended.

Bone-deep agony exploded through the Light God King. He retaliated with his full divine pressure. Light Energy transformed into 10,000 arrows that rained toward Steely.

Steely had no choice but to abandon his fused greatsword and dodge. Even so, the attack had left its mark. Everyone who had witnessed it marveled at Steely’s power. He was the first one in this battle to land a blow on the Light God King.

The Light God King grabbed the embedded greatsword in his body and crushed it. The wound spoke for itself. A mere unit had wounded a God King. It was an absolute joke!

As the wound healed rapidly, the Light God King abandoned all restraint. He unleashed every Divine Jurisdiction effect at his command: Spear of Victory, Holy Radiant Shield, Radiant God Physique, and Lumen Aura! The combined effects drove his aura to its peak.

Han Wu and Jing Jing stepped forward in unison and shielded Steely behind them.

“You want to kill my unit? You should ask me first,” Han Wu declared.

An equally ferocious aura surged from Han Wu. Peerless absorbed that aura, and its power swelled even further.

Jing Jing drew Evilspawn Ghost Blade. Nine Bone Dragon Microcosms were embedded within the weapon. Its entire body had taken on a gray-white hue, as though it had been forged from bone. Underestimating it would be a grave mistake.

In a flash, Jing Jing moved like a phantom and slashed the Evilspawn Ghost Blade across the Holy Radiant Shield. That shield was inlaid with tens of thousands of Microcosms. A single slash left a thin crack across its surface. Gray bone matter seeped into the crack and spread slowly, preventing the shield from repairing itself.

The Light God King didn’t notice the anomaly. He countered immediately and thrust the Spear of Victory at Jing Jing.

A direct hit would critically wound even a Soul God King. Faced with the choice of taking the hit or retreating, Jing Jing chose to shift forms. Her crystal bones were normally impossibly hard, but under Soul-Body Fusion, even crystal bones could turn into a soul form.

In that ethereal state, she was as fluid as water, and the Spear of Victory passed right through her, hitting nothing.

Jing Jing then activated Seven Sins Avatars. Seven identical copies of herself appeared at her side. Each one matched her in strength, shared her consciousness, and wielded its own Evilspawn Ghost Blade. Together they unleashed a storm of slashes against the Light God King.

The Light God King had assumed the seven figures were simple clones with limited power. When their attacks landed and gray bone marks spread rapidly across his Holy Radiant Shield, he realized that every single one of them was real and dangerously powerful.

Before the Light God King could react, Han Wu followed up with Dragon Slayer combined with Heaven-Earth Severance. The fused strike unleashed devastating force. The Holy Radiant Shield with its tens of thousands of Microcosms shattered under the blow.

With a single slash, the shield was destroyed!

Han Wu seized the opening and activated his Minute Hand, stopping time within a 1,000-meter radius.

He had sixty seconds. In that time, he swung Peerless in a frenzy of slashes. Without the Holy Radiant Shield to protect him, the Light God King was nothing but a target.

Han Wu spent the full minute carving him apart. The terrifying edge of Peerless reduced the Light God King to shreds. No one had ever pushed the Light God King that far.

That didn’t mean the Light God King was dead, though. When the Minute Hand countdown ended, Han Wu stared at the empty spot where the Light God King had stood and exhaled. Completely shredding his opponent had made him believe for a moment that he had won.

Then the fragments of the Light God King’s body dissolved into light and reformed.

The Light God King stood once more. His face was deathly pale as though he were a bloodless vampire.

Han Wu’s one-minute rampage had clearly dealt massive damage. However, the Light God King was still alive.
