The caravan had left the Silver Snake tribe for six days.

After leaving the Silver Snake, they returned to the Golden Lion tribe to pick up the remaining Crimson Warriors, then officially set off towards the Black Bear territory. Calculating it, the journey from the Golden Lion to the Black Bear took seven days, and today was already the sixth day.

The further west they went, the more rugged the terrain became. The dense forests gradually gave way to gently sloping hills covered with weeds, occasionally there were black rock outcrops jutting up like the teeth of a giant beast sleeping underground. In the distance, the overlapping black mountain ranges of the Black Bear territory began to appear clearly behind a thin layer of clouds.

Dean rode a black horse in the lead, occasionally turning to look at the long caravan behind with a thoughtful gaze. He was the only person in the group who clearly understood the terrain and dangers on this route.

"Ahead is the Narrow Pass." Dean spoke up and pointed towards the winding path between two steep rocky mountain slopes. "Passing this pass, it is only half a day’s journey to the Black Bear territory. We will arrive tomorrow morning."

Kaelen narrowed his eyes looking ahead. The mountain slopes on both sides were towering, and the rocks were jagged like reversed blades. The road in the middle was only wide enough for two horse carts to travel side by side. An ideal place for an ambush.

"Dean." Kaelen called out. "Did you encounter any problems passing through here before?"

"No, Sir." Dean shook his head. "This pass belongs to the Black Bear tribe’s territory, normally no one dares to..."

Before he could finish his sentence, an ear-piercing screech tore through the air.

"Get off the carts!"

Sane roared. Almost simultaneously, a barrage of fire arrows rained down from the mountain slopes on both sides. The fiery red streaks drew bright arcs against the gray sky, plunging into the carts, the ground, and the luggage.

Boom!

A horse cart burst into fierce flames. Horses neighed loudly, and people screamed in chaos. The Rabbit clan people panicked and jumped off the carts, huddling together, trembling like leaves in the wind.

"Everyone gather in the center! Warriors form a defensive line!" Aaron shouted loudly, the fan in his hand already unfurled, and pale blue light flickered on each fan rib.

The Crimson Warriors immediately got into position. Those with Earth-attribute Divine Energy erected earthen walls around the caravan. Wood-attribute users like Kaelen grew thick vine shields. Water-attribute users created water screens to extinguish the fire.

"Victor! Quickly get everyone under the carts!" Draven shouted loudly at the Rabbit clan people.

The Rabbit Sub-Beast, who was trembling just moments ago, was startled upon hearing the shout, hurriedly leading his clan members to crawl under the unburnt carts, pressing closely together.

From the mountain slope, a shrill laugh echoed down.

"You Crimson mice, today is your doomsday!"

Kaelen looked up. On a high rock outcrop, Relius stood with his hands on his hips, his fiery red hair blowing in the wind. Beside him were dozens of Red Snake clan warriors, everyone holding a bow and arrow or a spear, looking down aggressively at the caravan like a pack of hungry wolves eyeing their prey.

"Relius." Kaelen smirked. "Was the beating last time not enough?"

Relius’s face immediately darkened. He gritted his teeth, "You bastard! That day was because you played dirty! Today I will exact both capital and interest!"

He waved his hand signaling. Immediately, from behind the rocks on both mountain slopes, dozens more Red Snake warriors charged out. This time there were not only archers, but also melee warriors with summoned Martial weapons.

"That’s quite a crowd." Sane said, his voice as calm as if commenting on the weather.

"About two hundred and fifty." Aaron swept his eyes to quickly count. "One and a half times our number."

"Not a problem." Sane drew his sword. Silver-purple lightning immediately surged along the blade, emitting ear-piercing crackling sounds. He turned to Kaelen, "You go up, I stay down to protect the caravan."

Kaelen nodded, "Be careful."

Sane replied with a reassuring smile, then leaped towards the mountain slope. The lightning in his hand swept a horizontal line, and three Red Snake archers were instantly knocked backward, their entire bodies convulsing from the electric shock.

"Stop him!" Relius screamed.

Four melee warriors immediately charged at Sane. Their Martial weapons were four long sabers as red as if forged in fire. They coordinated their attacks on Sane from four directions; their moves were fierce, and each slash aimed at vital points.

But Sane did not bother dodging. He spun his sword, the silver-purple lightning flared up fiercely, sweeping a perfect circle.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!

The four long sabers were simultaneously knocked away. One of them could not retract his saber in time, the lightning traveled along the blade straight into his body, he screamed tragically and fell unconscious.

On the ground, Kaelen had erected a giant vine wall surrounding the caravan. The wrist-thick vines densely intertwined, and sharp thorns even grew on the surface. The Red Snake’s arrows shooting at it could only plunge into the vine layer and be tightly entangled by the thorns, unable to pierce through.

"You think hiding in there is safe?!"

Relius roared and drew his natal thorny whip out. He lashed a whip down forcefully. The fiery red whip tore through the wind, whipping straight at the vine wall.

Crash!

A section of the wall was smashed into pieces. The vines were severed, and green sap splattered everywhere. Several Crimson warriors standing nearby were thrown backward by the pressure, falling to the ground.

Kaelen waved his hand, and the severed vines immediately grew back, even thicker than before.

Relius gritted his teeth. He was about to lash another whip when a gust of wind carrying sharp wind blades swept over from somewhere. He hurriedly leaned to dodge, but a lock of his red hair was slashed off.

Aaron stood on the roof of a horse cart, the fan in his hand spread wide, and pale blue light flared up, "Hey, don’t forget me."

"Do not interfere!"

A dull, deep voice rang out from behind Relius. A middle-aged red-haired beastman stepped out; his figure was burly, and his body exuded the coercive pressure of a High-stage Martial Saint. In his hand was a giant fiery whip, twice as long as Relius’s whip, its entire body burning fiercely.

"Uncle Eldric." Relius bowed his head slightly in greeting.

"Step back." Eldric spoke briefly. "Leave it to me."

He swung the whip. The fiery whip tore through the wind and lunged downward, lengthening to the point of being almost endless, whipping straight at Kaelen’s vine wall.

Crash! Crash! Crash!

Three layers of vines were consecutively shattered. The flames from the whip caught onto the vines, spreading at a terrifying speed. Kaelen hurriedly cut the connection with the burning vines, but because of that, a large gap appeared in the wall.

"Charge!" Relius screamed triumphantly.

Dozens of Red Snake warriors immediately flooded through the gap, charging straight into the caravan.

"Stop them!" Aaron shouted, the fan in his hand sweeping out a gust of wind carrying blades.

But this time, the Red Snakes seemed to have been trained to deal with his moves. They quickly scattered, dodging the wind blades, then converged again to attack from multiple directions.

Siley stood blocking in front of the Rabbit clan people trembling under the carts, the Long-Fanged Demonic Tiger roared beside him. A Red Snake warrior charged over, his Martial weapon, a broadsword, slashed straight at Siley’s face.

Siley leaned to dodge, simultaneously drawing his Martial weapon - a sparkling silver longsword. He blocked the opponent’s slash, his wrist twisted, pushing the blade aside, then stabbed straight into the opponent’s shoulder.

"Graaa!"

The Red Snake warrior screamed in pain, taking a few steps back. But immediately, two other warriors charged in to take his place.

The Demonic Tiger roared, pounced, and bit into one’s neck. The remaining one was blocked by Siley using his sword. He gritted his teeth, sweat pouring down profusely, but his gaze remained resolute, showing no intention of retreating.

"Siley!"

Finnick charged over from somewhere, Chloe on his shoulder stretched out her deep red tentacles, tightly wrapping around the warrior fighting Siley, squeezing forcefully.

Crack!

The warrior’s bones creaked. He widened his eyes, collapsing unconscious.

"Thank you." Siley panted heavily.

"You are welcome!" Finnick grinned widely, then charged at another one.

On the mountain slope, Sane and Eldric were fighting fiercely. The silver-purple lightning and fiery red flames collided continuously, creating ear-piercing explosions. The ground beneath their feet cracked, and debris splattered everywhere.

"You are quite good." Eldric bared his teeth smiling, the fiery whip in his hand swung up, tightly wrapping around Sane’s sword. "But still very green!"

He jerked forcefully. Sane was pulled forward, losing his balance. The fiery whip immediately whipped back, striking straight at his chest.

Crash!

Sane was knocked backward, slamming hard into the cliff. Rocks crumbled, and dust filled the air.

"Chief!" Aaron cried out in alarm.

But when the dust settled, Sane still stood there. On his chest was a long, black scorch mark, blood oozing out soaking his animal skin shirt. But his gaze remained as cold as ice, without a single ripple.

"My turn."

Sane disappeared.

Eldric was startled and hurriedly turned around to defend. But Sane had appeared right behind him, the sword enveloped in lightning stabbing straight into his back.

Eldric roared, the fiery whip whipped backward, simultaneously his entire body flared up with a protective layer of fire. Sane was pushed back, but the lightning on the sword managed to transmit into Eldric’s body. The old Martial Saint convulsed violently, almost dropping the whip.

"Bastard..."

Eldric gritted his teeth, the fire on his body flared up even more fiercely. He was about to charge at Sane once again, when suddenly...

"Everyone stop!!!"
