The Plant Master Becomes A Mute Sub-Beast: Farming And Laying Eggs
Chapter 261: ConfrontationThey had delayed for too long. Kaelen and Sane ordered Anthony and Walter to command the formation, speeding up the march.
The journey that usually took everyone nearly a week to cover now only took a mere four days. Intelligence was also unceasingly brought back; the situation on the other half was gradually becoming more serious. The state of beastmen being assimilated by demonic seeds had spiked; they were now exactly like dead puppets, completely unable to keep their autonomous consciousness anymore.
Kaelen’s expression was not very good, he turned his head and said to Sane: "They found the Moon God’s Heart already, and are intensifying the pollution."
Sane’s expression was extremely unsightly: "If it was the peak period, I alone could also send this group of people flying. But now our actual strength is only one-third left; confronting hundreds of thousands of beastmen in a berserk state is still too forced."
He turned to ask Draven: "Does your medicine have to be ingested? Can it be applied externally?"
Draven nodded, affirming solidly: "I researched based on the purifying effect of the Light Divine Energy; just sticking to the skin and flesh is enough to make those demonic seeds suffer the effect."
Kaelen immediately used a wooden stick to draw on the sand ground: "Then wrap the medicine in animal skins, the main force Warrior squad is responsible for throwing them into the air right above the enemy troops’ heads, the archer squad must quickly seize the opportunity to shoot bursting these animal skin bundles, creating a medicine rain."
Sane nodded: "This method is the most effective but very medicine-consuming. Draven, how much medicine can your healer squad refine."
Draven’s expression was sorrowful: "This medicine is truly very hard to refine, we refining non-stop day and night can also only refine ten barrels."
Kaelen rested his chin pondering, then said: "Ten barrels is enough. You guys hold out at the frontline, Sane and I will sneak into the center of the enemy camp, finding the string-puller."
Anthony immediately asked: "How many days do you need?"
Sane said: "Ten days."
Anthony nodded: "Alright, we will try to hold them off."
Kaelen paused slightly for a bit, then said: "If you can not kill then do not kill. But if that side causes danger to the people on our side, then just do it unhesitatingly."
"Yes!" Everyone’s expression was a bit heavy, but this was a battlefield not an emotional play stage, being merciful to the enemy was dangerous to oneself, they could only proactively attack. The Crimson Warriors were fine, but those three thousand local Sub-Beasts, he feared they would falter.
Kaelen and Sane wore invisibility talismans, standing on the mountain peak watching the situation below. Anthony and Walter divided the army into two prongs, quietly approaching the enemy camp. The Confluence House was now the boundary between life and death. At midnight, the horn sound echoed thunderously; the first battle officially began.
The Western continent beastmen transformed into beast forms, madly rushing forward. Besides these beastmen, demonic seeds also like snakes slithering on the ground, intending to infiltrate the Crimson side formation.
"Roar!" Anthony transformed into a White Tiger, letting out a resounding roar. Each animal skin bundle containing the antidote was thrown forcefully towards the enemy troops.
"Shoot!" Walter timed it precisely, shouting loudly. The archers immediately released their hands from the bowstrings, each arrow whizzing off, hitting the animal skin bundles in the mid-air, the angle was extremely standard. Each animal skin bundle in the sky exploded like fireworks, golden sparkling medicine water fell down like rain, falling onto the skin and flesh of the beastmen who were going mad and the demonic seeds crawling on the ground.
Each sizzling sound like water falling into boiling oil, the beastmen splashed with medicine water immediately howled tragically intermittently, rolling on the ground. Each wisp of black smoke flew out from their ears, eyes, noses, and mouths. These black smoke wisps wanted to escape, but were battered until dissipating by the medicine water.
Kaelen and Sane seeing this scene secretly breathed a sigh of relief. The two looked at each other, nodding: "Let’s go."
They transformed into two streaks of light, soaring away.
At the main camp, Sylvain with a pale white face, knelt in the middle of the altar, his hands lifting two black crystals, trying to fuse them together. He mumbled:
"About to succeed, just a little bit more."
His five beastmen were now lying dragged at the five corners of the altar, their whole bodies shriveled leaving only skin and bones, wrinkled skin, snow-white hair. Their eyes were bloodshot, unwillingly looking towards Sylvain.
The Lion beastman who once carried the Ice God’s Heart inside his body moved his lips, using his last breath to repeat meaningless questions: "Why? Why?"
Sylvain did not answer him. To Sylvain, these five beastmen were only tools to nourish evil thoughts, fattened then waiting for the slaughtering day. The two crystals in his hands were blacker by the moment, the five beastmen stopped breathing one after another, then transformed into a puddle of foul-smelling bloody flesh.
The two crystals fused successfully, forming a small vortex. Initially only the size of a fist, then gradually expanding into an oval door as tall as an adult beastman.
Sylvain’s mouth corners curved up, kneeling on one knee before the door, placing his right hand on his left chest, saying reverently:
"Welcome back, my God."
A sharp claw grabbed the door edge, then a sharp beak poked out, the God of Decay’s figure gradually revealing from the door. Seeing His entire hideous body gradually leaving the void, a sword from nowhere suddenly rushed over with the speed of light stabbing thud into the middle of that creature’s forehead, so fast Sylvain was completely unable to react in time.
The God of Decay screamed a resounding sound, the space vibrating violently. The demonic seeds in the bodies of the Western continent beastmen voluntarily escaped outside, all pouring towards the main camp like a flood. When leaving, they also unceasingly sucked the hosts’ life force.
Those originally tall and big beastmen suddenly became shriveled, lying still on the ground like corpses.
Anthony’s face turned pale blue, he immediately stepped forward to check. When touching a beastman’s body, feeling a bit of weak breath, his eyes lit up:
"Still alive! Hurry! Everyone take them back to the camp, let the military medics treat them."
Kaelen and Sane were also confused for a moment by this unexpected incident; however, they immediately regained their spirits. Kaelen nodded to Sane once, using the fastest speed to head towards the place emitting the roar. Sane turned to another direction, blocking the demonic seed flood. He floated in the mid-air, his body transforming.
From human form he transformed back into Half-snake form, his wings spreading wide, his glossy black horns even lingering purple lightning streaks.
"Die!"
He roared once, a pair of wings swung up, each purple lightning streak taking him as the center, spreading out like a net, blocking before the demonic seeds. The demonic seed swarm touching the lightning net immediately combusted and vanished.
In the main camp, Sylvain summoned his sword, attacking the person who had just arrived. He gritted his teeth tightly, hissing that person’s name:
"Vincent!"
That was right, the person who rushed over stabbing the sword to block the God of Decay’s resurrection path was exactly Vincent. He still turned his back to Sylvain, using all his strength to plunge the sword into that hideous creature’s head. The God of Decay was pushed back retreating to the void; He firmly grabbed two claws onto the door edge, struggling wanting to crawl out.
Sylvain’s sword pierced through Vincent’s body, but he still did not budge in the slightest. Sylvain pulled the sword back inversely, Vincent coughed out a mouthful of blood. But he still determinedly did not let go of the sword in his hands, using all his strength to push the God of Decay back.
Sylvain swung his sword up, preparing to cleave Vincent into two. His sword was blocked by a green sword, emitting a crisp clanging sound. Sylvain was pushed backward by the strong collision intensity between the two weapons, with a pale face looking at the person who had just arrived.
Kaelen held the sword, blocking in front of Sylvain. His form had changed now. His whole body wore a flowing long robe as if woven from mermaid fabric, his dark green hair was braided into a side braid draped in front, on his hair even winding slender vines and tiny white flowers. His eyes became crystal clear like green jade, the holy beauty making people dare not look straight.
Sylvain trembled slightly for a bit, then gritted his teeth tightly, swinging his sword up to fight.
Sylvain fought without any rules. His sword slashed down like hail, every strike carrying a blinding golden light; missing the slash onto the altar floor then stones shattered into large pieces. He was panicking, therefore only knew how to slash wildly.
Kaelen blocked the first three strikes with the sword blade, reaching the fourth strike then he did not block anymore but spun his body dodging past, the green sword tip grazed thinly across the opponent’s side.
The blood flowing out had a golden color, clearly the blood of someone about to step onto the Deity Seat. Unfortunately stepping into the swamp.
"You also intend to lecture me right!" Sylvain hissed, spinning his body slashing inversely back: "He also said I am a stain, His humiliation! He would rather have strangled me right since I was born. In the end what did I do wrong?! Falling in love with a scumbag is my fault?!"
Vincent’s figure behind Kaelen trembled slightly for a bit, then he used more strength. The sword had plunged more than halfway into the God of Decay’s head, His figure was pushed back retreating a bit more.
Sylvain seeing this scene was impatient, desperately dodging past Kaelen to attack Vincent.
Kaelen leaped over to block that sword, the two sword blades grinding against each other screeching.
He stomped his foot hard onto the altar floor. From the stone crevices just cracking open, tree roots emerged, wrapping around Sylvain’s two ankles, pulling forcefully down. Sylvain roared once, Light Divine Energy flared up all over his body, the root clump was immediately severed.
But he was half a beat slow, and Kaelen only needed that half beat to step forward two steps.
Behind them, Vincent coughed out another mouthful of blood. He still did not let go of the sword hilt, his two hands had turned pale white because of gripping too tightly, but that oval door had just cracked wider by half a hand span. The claw grabbing at the door edge had protruded up to the second joint.
Kaelen glanced towards there exactly once.
"Are you impatient?" Sylvain burst into laughter, a twisted smile on his pale white face: "It is useless. Even if you kill me today, you cannot stop Him from resurrecting."
Kaelen exhaled a very slow breath. Then he let go of his left hand from the sword hilt.
Before Sylvain could understand, Kaelen had rushed straight in, not dodging, not blocking. The black sword blade pierced through his left shoulder, piercing deeply right up to the hilt, blood splashing onto the tiny white flower string winding on his hair. But he was already within arm’s reach.
That left hand grabbed the wrist holding Sylvain’s sword.
"Brat." Kaelen said, his voice terrifyingly calm: "You should not have challenged me."
The entire altar floor exploded.
Tree roots from underground breaking stones emerged, not aiming at Sylvain but shooting straight past his head, plunging into the door edge, densely interlacing into a wooden net.
The God of Decay being squeezed howled an ear-piercing sound.
