The Programmer Cultivator

Chapter 582 - 121: Extreme Dao: Evil Dragon Guardian (Part 2)

The clear, pure Water Dragon instantly became corrupted, slowly transforming into a murky Black Dragon.

Its entire body began to mutate. Its unusually beautiful scales turned a bizarre, pitch-black. Its serpentine head evolved towards that of a Flood Dragon, and a single ugly, ferocious horn sprouted from its crown.

The once-pure Water Dragon had become an exceptionally ferocious Black Dragon.

"I will do everything in my power to guard my home, protect my clan, and watch over the next generation."

"I will use all my strength to avenge this blood feud and appease the Vengeful Spirits."

"I will become an Asura, bear the weight of sin, and carry this burden forward."

In a moment of enlightenment, Qu Qingxian instinctively made a Dao Heart Oath. The oath perfectly aligned with his path of the Dragon Spirit Guardian, giving birth to a unique Guardian Power.

As this power merged with the Black Dragon behind him, the dragon, which was clearly evil, began to exude a sense of righteousness. Its aura, clearly berserk, also appeared peaceful. It was utterly contradictory.

What was even more bizarre was that while it was just a Black Dragon, it seemed as if countless Vengeful Spirits were entangled within its body, their resentment permeating its being.

But these things, which should have been evil and should have been corrupting the Black Dragon, were strangely guarding and flocking around it. They didn’t resemble vengeful spirits or malicious thoughts at all; it was as if they had been formed from willing sacrifices.

However, willing sacrifices shouldn’t produce such sinful karma and resentment. For all these reasons, the entire Black Dragon was filled with extreme contradictions at every turn, which in turn made its aura exceptionally powerful.

"ROOOOAR..."

With a heaven-shaking roar that shook the skies, the auras of Qu Qingxian and the Black Dragon intertwined, and their presences changed in an instant.

Qu Qingxian became the epitome of righteousness, while the Black Dragon became the epitome of evil. As man and dragon intertwined, their combined aura was exceptionally bizarre.

The Runes within Qu Qingxian’s body also underwent a drastic mutation. All the Runes fused together, forming a single, ultimate dragon-shaped Rune.

Moreover, the Rune was so clear and vivid that it was just a hair’s breadth away from breaking through to the Law Level. If Qu Qingxian’s Cultivation weren’t so low, this event would have likely allowed him to complete his Extreme Dao and achieve his Enlightenment Dao.

Even now, due to the limits of his Cultivation, the Rune’s advancement to the Law Level was proceeding slowly.

If his opponent delayed their advancement to Duality for too long, he might run into problems from his Tai Chi advancing into a Law-Level Technique.

Because of this transformation, Qu Qingxian’s aura more than doubled in strength, and his body was overflowing with Spiritual Power. Any discerning person could see he was on the verge of a breakthrough.

If the current situation weren’t preventing it, he could likely gather the materials and break through with little difficulty.

After the commotion died down, Qu Qingxian slowly came to his senses, but he felt little joy. The same was true for the surrounding square. Although Qu Qingxian had caused a huge stir, few people were paying attention to him.

In fact, a few people had nearly lost their minds because Qu Qingxian’s water currents had swept away... no... carried away the residual Spirituality from the severed limbs.

If Qu Zhiwen hadn’t stopped them, they probably would have crawled over to attack Qu Qingxian. After all, Qu Zhiwen himself took quite a beating while holding them back.

The few who woke up last were luckier. Spared from the influence of the residual evil aura, their reaction to witnessing this Asura Scene was at least slightly better.

Even when their memories returned later, without the aura’s influence, they would at least be spared a layer of overlapping, secondary trauma.

...

After Elder Huang’s Spiritual Power was depleted and he dissipated, Zhang Deming’s consciousness returned to the Spirit Nurturing Space. He mulled things over for a moment, then quickly exited it.

But no sooner had he stepped out than Zhang Deming felt a surge of Energy from his warehouse.

Zhang Deming paused, noticing his Merit had increased by two, and his Qi Fortune had undergone a heaven-defying reversal, increasing by a full twenty-one.

’Has the Qu Family, or that salted fish Qu Qingxian, finally made a comeback?’

’For a sheep so poor it’s practically fleece-less to provide so much Qi Fortune, it must mean the Qu Family or Qu Qingxian, whom I just saved, is poised for a major turnaround.’

Peeking at the Qu Family’s situation through the point of light, he saw Qu Qingxian entwined by the Black Dragon. ’Looks like that big salted fish Qu Qingxian really did achieve a heaven-defying reversal and make his comeback.’

’As for how much of this was the Qu Family’s contribution, he had no idea. After all, the Qi Fortune hadn’t been tallied separately.’

...

On Spirit Nurturing Peak, within the Spirit Nurturing Main Hall, Zhang Deming’s consciousness had gone to the Qu Family in Celestial Spirit City as the Incarnation of Elder Huang. His Main Body, meanwhile, was being controlled by the Heart Dream Technique, quietly watching as the other three fell silent.

Since there was no Combat here, this sort of split-minded control posed no problem.

The four were silent for a moment before Gan Zili spoke first. "Junior Brother Zhang, are you certain the place you discovered isn’t some ancient ruin, but a mortal dwelling that was only recently abandoned?"

Zhang Deming paused, then pointed to the metal pool in the pentagonal altar on the screen. "Senior Brother Gan," he said, "does this look like the state of an ancient ruin to you?"

As Zhang Deming pointed, the image slowly zoomed in. A silvery liquid churned within the pool. Sporadic, mangled limbs bobbed and sank with the roiling fluid, the scene appearing clearly before them all.

Gan Zili paused. Everyone turned to look at Dang Xiangjun. Yue Mengsheng, in a rare show of initiative, spoke up. "Master Dang, should we go investigate this immediately?"

"After all, the matter of the Five Elements Remnants, whether judging from your account or from all these signs, poses a significant threat."

"This is especially true for our Celestial Spirit Sect, not only because we are located nearby, but also because of so-called historical reasons. We inherited the legacy of the Five Elements Blessed Land, and now the Sect has even brought all Five Great Secret Realms under its control."
