Not far away, two traffic cops on speed trap duty stood listlessly by the roadside, smoking cigarettes.
Suddenly, a thunderous ROAR echoed from the distance.
Their expressions hardened. They looked up just in time to see a red sports car charging toward them at a terrifying speed.
Chen Erbao glanced at the speedometer—reading 180—without the slightest bit of panic. He kept a steady hand on the wheel as he blew past the two officers.
Before the two of them could even process what had happened, the car had vanished.
Their faces paled, and they scrambled for their walkie-talkies.
"Dispatch, we have a sports car speeding on the highway! It's definitely going over 180!"
"What? What's the license plate?"
"Couldn't get a clear look..."
"Check the traffic cameras!"
Chen Erbao was oblivious to the commotion he had caused, but even if he had known, he wouldn't have cared.
Right now, all he wanted was to get to the Fang Family's estate immediately!
As he entered the city, Chen Erbao slowed down slightly, but his speed was still shocking. He blew through countless red lights and, just over ten minutes later, screeched to a halt in front of the Fang Family's villa.
The moment she got out of the car, Lin Zhiqing, pale-faced, clutched her chest. Her stomach was churning violently.
Chen Erbao had been driving too fast. If she hadn't been afraid of distracting him, she would have thrown up in the car.
He helped Lin Zhiqing to the roadside to rest, taking the opportunity to transfer two wisps of pure Spiritual Qi into her.
Instantly, Lin Zhiqing felt a pleasant warmth spread through her body, and the nausea in her stomach vanished.
"How are you feeling? Still sick?"
"Much better!"
Color returned to Lin Zhiqing's cheeks. She squeezed Chen Erbao's hand and gave him a small smile.
Only then did Chen Erbao's worries subside. He led Lin Zhiqing straight to the main gate of the Fang Family estate.
"Halt! Who are you?"
A tall, intimidating bodyguard shouted from behind the iron gate.
Chen Erbao acted as if he hadn't heard. He walked right up to the gate, gave the two men a sweeping glance, and said, "Open it."
His tone was flat, but a chill ran down the bodyguards' spines.
"Who do you think you are—"
Before the man could finish, Chen Erbao lifted his leg and kicked the iron gate!
BOOM!
The solid, heavy iron gate crashed to the ground. The two bodyguards watched in terror, frozen to the spot, not daring to interfere as Chen Erbao pulled Lin Zhiqing inside.
As expected of one of Changbai Mountain City's top families, the Fang Family didn't just have bodyguards at the gate; they also had security guards patrolling the villa's exterior.
"Who's there!"
The loud crash of the gate collapsing quickly drew over a dozen security guards, who swarmed Chen Erbao, each brandishing an electric baton.
"Get the hell out of my way!"
Chen Erbao was furious, and his roar thundered at the guards.
It was like a clap of thunder. The guards were stunned into place, not daring to move forward and stop him.
Seeing Chen Erbao stride toward the villa's front door, the burly security captain finally snapped out of it. "Stop them!"
With a WHOOSH, the dozen or so men scrambled to block Chen Erbao's path.
Chen Erbao had no time for words. With a single flash of movement, he vanished.
The security captain froze. Before he could react, a tremendous force slammed into his stomach, sending him flying. He lost consciousness before he hit the ground.
The other guards quickly followed suit. In less than ten seconds, all of them were on the ground, either unconscious or groaning in pain.
Having dealt with the annoying henchmen, Chen Erbao led Lin Zhiqing to the door of the villa's living room and kicked again.
With a loud CRASH, the expensive front door flew off its hinges, smashing into a display of priceless antiques inside and shattering them across the floor.
Fang Han was resting in his room on the first floor, while Zhou Mei was napping upstairs. The tremendous crash startled them both awake.
"Who are you!"
Zhou Mei emerged first. Standing on the second-floor landing, she stared in shock and fury at her family's ruined front door.
Chen Erbao spared her a single glance, not bothering to reply. He spread out his Divine Sense and instantly located Fang Han.
Seeing Chen Erbao and Lin Zhiqing head straight for Fang Han's room, Zhou Mei threw all caution to the wind and scrambled down the stairs.
Fang Han had also heard the commotion. He frowned, and just as he tried to struggle upright, he heard footsteps getting closer.
BANG!
Before he could even sit up, his bedroom door erupted with a deafening BANG. The next second, the gilded wooden door burst into splinters.
Flying splinters of wood peppered Fang Han's face, making him cry out in pain.
"Hsss... which son of a—"
He didn't get to finish. His eyes flew open in disbelief as he saw Chen Erbao standing in the doorway, staring coldly at him.
And beside Chen Erbao stood the very woman he'd just been fantasizing about, Lin Zhiqing.
'How is Chen Erbao in my house? And what about Feng Gang?'
Fang Han was completely stunned. His brain short-circuited as he lay there on the bed, utterly bewildered.
Chen Erbao let out a savage grin and strode into the room. Before Fang Han's terrified eyes, he grabbed him by the collar and brutally dragged him out of bed.
"I spared your life, and you still have the gall to come after me! You really have a death wish!"
He snarled, dragging Fang Han out the door.
Poor Fang Han was so injured he needed servants just to walk. But in Chen Erbao's grasp, he was like a helpless chick, dragged all the way into the main hall.
Chen Erbao slammed him onto the floor. A wave of pain washed over Fang Han, his chest constricted, and he broke into a violent coughing fit.
Just then, Zhou Mei reached the bottom of the stairs. Seeing her precious son tossed on the floor like a sack of meat, she lost all reason. With bloodshot eyes, she lunged at Chen Erbao.
"How dare you touch my son—"
Chen Erbao glanced at her and, with an almost casual side-kick, sent her flying into a wall. She nearly passed out from the impact.
And that was with Chen Erbao holding back. Otherwise, Zhou Mei would have likely died on the spot.
"Your son brought this on himself, provoking me time and again. If I don't get a damn good explanation today, I'll kill him right here and now!"
The household staff, drawn by the commotion, ran over to see what was happening. But upon seeing Chen Erbao's brutality, they all shrank back in fear, watching from a distance.
Zhou Yuan and Fang Ming, who had been fishing in the backyard, also received word and were rushing over.
Chen Erbao loomed over Fang Han, planting his foot on his face and grinding it into the floor. "So, tell me. How are we going to settle this?"
Humiliated by having his face stepped on in public once again, Fang Han's features twisted with hatred. His gaze was filled with venomous resentment.
'Feng Gang must have failed,' he thought grimly, 'and he sold me out...'
He thought this, but Chen Erbao was pressing down so hard that he couldn't speak a word.
Chen Erbao looked down. Seeing that Fang Han was still trying to struggle, he increased the pressure, grinding his head against the floor. "Oh? Still not convinced?"
Fang Han felt as if the ear pressed to the floor was about to be twisted off, and he couldn't suppress a muffled groan.
Beads of sweat rolled down his forehead, making his pathetic state even more apparent.
Seeing this, Zhou Mei nearly fainted. She shrieked at the staff, "Quick, call security! Where are the bodyguards?!"
"Shut the hell up! You scream again, and I'll cripple him!"
Chen Erbao stomped down, knocking out several of Fang Han's teeth.
