Chen Erbao walked in with a smile. He first gave Zhao Ruoying a meaningful look, then winked at Lin Rui, and finally grinned at Qiu Shuzhen. "Sister Shuzhen, you're here too!"

Qiu Shuzhen knew her place and certainly wasn't going to compete. "Er Bao, I was just discussing some factory matters with Sister Fangyun. You've worked hard out there!"

Chen Erbao looked at Qiu Shuzhen's voluptuous, soft body and instantly got hard.

"It was nothing. I have to head to Binhai in a couple of days anyway. The company was just founded, so there's a lot of business I need to handle personally. I wouldn't feel right sending anyone else…"

"You're the one making the big money..."

Qiu Shuzhen looked at Chen Erbao with heartfelt sympathy. Perhaps it was because of her age, but her motherly instincts were overflowing.

Chen Erbao chuckled and turned his gaze to Lin Rui.

'This girl would be easy to handle. After all, they already knew each other inside and out.'

"Xiaorui, how have you been?"

"I'm doing great, Brother Er Bao. It's just been so long, I've really missed you!"

Lin Rui was no fool. She wasn't particularly suspicious of Fang Yun or Qiu Shuzhen, but Zhao Ruoying's presence made her wary.

Her tone was placid, yet it carried a strange sense of warmth and harmony, like a wife welcoming her husband home at the end of an ordinary day.

Everyone sat at the dinner table, each lost in their own thoughts, surreptitiously glancing at one another.

"Brother Er Bao, have some meat. You've gotten so thin!"

Lin Rui placed a piece of meat in Chen Erbao's bowl.

The corner of Zhao Ruoying's eye twitched at the sight. The hand she was using to get food paused for a moment before she simply went back to eating.
