The Rogue Villager Chen Erbao

Chapter 222: A Hidden Killing Intent

Inside the Ferris wheel.

Chen Erbao looked at the weakly moaning Lin Rui, then pressed firmly to the end and began to fire his hot load!

After filling Lin Rui like a cream puff, Chen Erbao gently pulled out and held her as they sat down to rest.

Once Lin Rui had recovered her strength, the two cleaned up the mess, opened the curtains, and saw that the Ferris wheel had already begun its descent.

Down below, Ivic had been waiting so long he'd almost fallen asleep. He didn't complain in the slightest, though. He thoughtfully drove the car over and took Chen Erbao and Lin Rui to sample some of Binhai's local cuisine.

"Mr. Chen, this restaurant, Mansion Hot Pot, has a long history. It's a private kitchen, not open to the public. You can only dine here if you're referred by a regular. Fortunately, the Vienna Group has this connection."

Ivic parked the car and led Chen Erbao and Lin Rui into Mansion Hot Pot. They crossed a rather unremarkable main hall and entered a private room.

There was nothing particularly outstanding about the private room, but a stick of incense was burning in the corner, filling the space with a faint, delicate fragrance.

After Chen Erbao and Lin Rui sat down, Ivic had the food brought in.

When it came to food, Chen Erbao wasn't picky. As long as it was edible, he didn't really care whether it tasted good or bad.

But after the very first bite, even someone like Chen Erbao, who didn't consider himself a connoisseur, could appreciate the delicious, lingering flavor.

"This place, from its choice of ingredients to its cooking methods, is famous throughout Binhai. It absolutely befits your status, Mr. Chen!"

Chen Erbao gave a slight chuckle. He didn't care about things like status. As long as he was with the right person, he'd find it just as delicious even if they were squatting on a street corner eating hot dry noodles.

But seeing how happy Lin Rui was as she ate, Chen Erbao joined her for a few more bites.

"Xiaorui, when do you have to check in at school?"

Chen Erbao asked while eating.

Lin Rui looked at Chen Erbao, reluctant to leave. "Brother Er Bao, I was supposed to check in today, but I took a day off… I want to spend more time with you!"

Chen Erbao chuckled. "That's easy. Let me make a call."

He dialed Lin Cheng's number. "Uncle Lin, I'm in Binhai right now. How are your connections here?"

He and Medicine King Hall were partners, but his relationship with Lin Zhiqing was even closer. It would be a waste not to use these connections.

Before long, once he'd made a name for himself, he wouldn't need to rely on favors from others.

Lin Cheng answered without a second thought. "Binhai is a major hub for our Medicine King Hall. When we speak in Binhai, people listen!"

"That's great. I have a friend who's a student at Binhai University and wants to take a few days off..."

Lin Cheng had thought it was some thorny issue. Hearing it was just a small matter, he laughed and rattled off a phone number. "Call this number in a bit. He's the person in charge in Binhai, and a former student of mine. I'll give him a heads-up to get it sorted for you."

"Alright, thanks, Uncle Lin!"

Chen Erbao said politely.

Lin Cheng brushed it off. "It's a trivial matter. Just hurry up with your business out there. The main office is anxious to see the results from your planting base!"

"Don't worry, I've got it under control."

Hanging up, Chen Erbao looked at Lin Rui and shook his phone as if showing off. "All set!"

"Brother Er Bao, I could just die, I love you so much!"

Lin Rui excitedly planted a kiss on Chen Erbao's cheek, then personally peeled a shrimp and held it to his lips.

Chen Erbao opened his mouth and ate the shrimp, taking the opportunity to lick her slender, jade-like fingers, which earned him a playful pout from Lin Rui.

Ivic, sitting to the side, kept his head down and ate, pretending he hadn't seen a thing.

Never mind that the woman Chen Erbao brought this time was different from the last. Even if he brought eight or ten women at once, Ivic would keep his lips sealed and dutifully do his job as a steward.

The meal lasted for more than half an hour. By the time the three of them walked out of Mansion Hot Pot, it was already 7:30 PM.

Chen Erbao dialed the number Lin Cheng had given him.

"Hello, Mr. Chen, this is Xiao Guang, the temporary person-in-charge for Medicine King Hall in Binhai. You can just call me Xiao Guang!"

Xiao Guang's tone was extremely respectful.

Chen Erbao smiled. "President Xiao, you're too kind... I'm sorry to trouble you with this."

"Not at all! You're a major client of Medicine King Hall, an acquaintance of my master, and the young miss is your… Anyway, whatever you need, just say the word!"

'Lin Cheng even told him about that? Looks like this Xiao Guang is one of Lin Cheng's trusted men!'

Chen Erbao's eyes narrowed slightly. He glanced at Lin Rui to make sure she couldn't hear the voice on the other end of the line, then slowly said, "It's not a big deal, really. I just have a friend at Binhai University…"

After he explained the situation, Xiao Guang gave his resolute assurance. "Don't you worry, Medicine King Hall recruits students from Binhai University every year. I'm extremely familiar with their leadership. It'll take just one word!"

"Then I'll leave it to you…"

Chen Erbao gave him Lin Rui's name and class, then hung up.

He didn't specify how many days of leave to arrange; he trusted Xiao Guang to handle it properly.

"Xiaorui, everything's taken care of with the school. I'll spend the next few days showing you a good time!"

"Yay!"

Overjoyed, Lin Rui hugged Chen Erbao's arm and led him to a dessert shop on the side of the road, where she bought an ice cream cone.

She stuck out her pink tongue and took a gentle lick, leaving a bit of cream at the corner of her mouth.

Holding the ice cream cone to Chen Erbao's lips with her fair hand, she giggled. "Brother Er Bao, try some, it's really good!"

Chen Erbao looked at her, then leaned down and licked the cream from the corner of her mouth. "You're right, it is delicious."

"..."

Lin Rui's face flushed red. She glanced around, and seeing that no one was paying attention, she shyly tapped Chen Erbao's arm. "We're in public!"

"So what? Do I need someone else's permission to kiss my own woman?"

Hearing this, Lin Rui's heart felt sweeter than honey, but she feigned denial. "Who says I'm your woman…"

"You are!"

Chen Erbao gave Lin Rui's bottom a squeeze, causing her to stomp her foot shyly before they started chasing each other down the street.

...

In Hongyuan City, Charles stared at Chuck, who was lying in a hospital bed wrapped up like a mummy. His expression was grim. "You still haven't found him?"

A burly man beside him was sweating bullets. "Mr. Charles, we've had men watching both of Chen Erbao's factories, but he hasn't shown up all day."

Charles snorted coldly. "Where's his home? I'll go myself!"

"Bailong Village! It's a small village under Hongyuan City's jurisdiction. I'll have someone take you there!"

The burly man quickly arranged for a vehicle and took Charles toward Bailong Village.

Inside the car, Charles, dressed in a loose-fitting training robe with an arm's-length tri-edged dagger tucked into his belt, sat with his eyes closed, resting.

'He was hired by three different people, and he injured my junior brother… An Ancient Martial Artist… I'm curious to see what you're capable of!'

...

As night fell, Chen Erbao brought Lin Rui back to the Vienna Hotel. After a late-night snack, they returned to their room to rest.

After their fierce battle on the Ferris wheel during the day, Lin Rui was exhausted. She took a shower, crawled into bed, and fell into a deep sleep while cuddling Chen Erbao.
